C2 is probably one of the worst academies to get tutored in SAT. For around $50/hr and the minimum…read more2 hour session you get with a tutor, you usually have to share him/her with 2 other people. While the tutors are tutoring other kids, you will be just working on your own little worksheet. Tutors are pretty knowledgeable, but some of their personalities are so dull that you will have hard time learning from your mistakes. So after about 6 months, my score only rose up from 1600 to 1850. For the amount of money and time spent, it's worthless to get into top schools. You are much better off going to wyzant.com and finding a private tutor from there. As that's what I decided to do. I dropped SAT and decided to study ACT instead. My score rose from 26 to 31 in less than 3 months.

My friend, who does not read or write in English, signed up her son in July of 2017. The son was not happy with the tutoring service and the mother withdrew him in in May of 2018. The sign up and termination were done in person. The mother paid for 12 months in advance and did not ask for a refund for the remaining two months on the contract. The woman at this office had the mother sign for ongoing payments even though the mother only wanted 12 months of service which she paid for in advance. When the mother terminated the services the same person failed to record the termination and three months after terminating Cornerstone Academic began charging the mother's credit card for $139 each month. Now they refuse to refund any of the money.

Sent email Friday, 7/22 asking for update since I had not heard anything since last conversation about 2 weeks ago. Received a call from Director indicating there will no camp due to lack of interest. SERIOUS?!?! To be notified 3 days before camp is supposed to start is poor customer service. Now, I need to find camp for my kids on Monday with so little time. This business is a learning center supposed to help kids with academic success and provide personal attention, yet there is a lack of organization in simple scheduling and communication, which is an indicator for me as to how well they would really help my kids.

They treat us like family, often going over and above to accommodate us. The facility itself is a wonderful learning environment... clean, bright, colorful modern facility with a designated computer area, reading nook and private study rooms. The door between the lobby and classroom is securely locked, which is a wonderful safety feature I haven't seen at other afterschool tutoring programs. Overall, Homework Central offers a great afterschool program which I highly recommend.

We attended every session, adjusted her diet, and did all of the "exercises," but there was still no improvement. In our progress meetings, I would be told that she was progressing, but I didn't see any improvements at home. In addition to not seeing progress at home, there was a lot of turn around at this facility. My daughter would bond with one person and then the next thing I knew, that person would be gone. I kept holding out hope that this program would work. She ended up finishing the program, and I was told that she did great, but there were no permanent changes. We even did the follow up appointments, but even those stopped being scheduled. Because of the turn around, none of the new people knew my child so they never followed up with me about scheduling more follow up appointments. I do not recommend Brain Balance for this age group.
