A hot mess! The start date for class was postponed two weeks later the day BEFORE the original…read morestart date because of a "family emergency". Two weeks later we're told we have a new instructor just for the second day another family emergency occurs with her which isn't her fault. However the following day everyone is waiting outside the locked doors 15 minutes after class was supposed to start because no one's there! No lights, doors locked, no one was answering our calls, no emails or a heads up, nothing! Our class of 25 dropped to 8 that following week because the lack of unprofessionalism and communication was absurd. The one saving grace out of this school was our instructor Miss Terri. She went above and beyond making sure we weren't behind on our course due to the inconveniences that occurred that disrupted our learning days. She was patient, understanding, and lit up the classroom with her lively energy. If it wasn't for her I think the course would've been postponed again for god knows how long until they found another teacher on short notice, she saved my time and made sticking through the struggles worth it. I couldn't be more grateful but besides that I would not recommend. The lack of communication was terrible from the people in charge and even though Google reviews has a high rating (god knows how) I recommend going somewhere else for these kind of certifications. Yes it might cost a bit more but trust no low price is worth the headache and uncertainty.

The instructor didn't respond to emails, only spent 10-15 minutes with me upon (my) request for "in person" counsel. It eventually became clear to me that she did not have time to do her job. Unfortunately for me, I learned to little, too late. Her whole passing grade for her class was based on ONLY one written essay. Now, in 2019, I reached out to Saint Leo. I spoke to somebody on the phone, and then somebody called me again- her name was Kim. Kim was calling from the online school area. From that point on I got harassed and contacted daily. I told her that I was interested in considering transferring from Central Michigan University to Saint Leo however I wanted to make sure that all my credits would transfer over AND I wanted to get any scholarships I could, being a Georgia resident... Not only did Kim call and harass me every day, she asked me to confirm that I wanted to be an online student in writing - I told her only I only agree if I can get the scholarship that you can in on campus college. In addition she went further to have appointments with me, and then not appear, and then never told me that all my credits would not transfer from central Michigan to Saint Leo. When she finally did give me an unofficial transcript, it was well over a year of my courses missing! Kim Called me several times- refusing to schedule time to speak- as jf I'd just be waiting to spark to her. Today, after I told her that I was busy in a doctors appointment with my granddaughter- she became agitated. She asked me to have more consideration for her! Then she said I should at least let her know what I'm gonna do about my schooling. So I told her I will not be attending Saint Leo University and I do not appreciate the high-pressure tactics... to which she replied- "GREAT! I went here many years back and returned recently for Alumni Weekend after 20 years out of Atlanta…read more I'm glad to hear that they actually have changed for the better from students, classmates who got into in leadership roles and recall those bad old days too well, staff members and so forth. I attended a number of events and was thrilled to hear the President say they weren't trying to exclude and alienate conservatives from the community + still teach critical thinking skills (one of the positive aspects of my time there). Gone are the good ol' boys and now diversity (including being a first generation student) actually seems to be considered and appreciated where that wasn't my experience. The bad old days were so bad I had nothing to do with the school for about 10 years due to the presence and protection towards a group I found loathsome (and would be completely inappropriate in our modern times just as it was 20 years ago). Since my most recent visit, I can say with pride that I went to this school and am proud of my classmates for stepping up and being change so others don't have to go through what I'm sure some of them did.
