For example, one of the trees was a 9 foot dead tree stump and they only cut 4 foot off, leaving a 5 foot stump. Still charged me $1500 more at the end for everything. Never came back to finish the job despite the request. Also, Ryan and the subcontractors don't really listen to instructions. I asked them to NOT mow my lawn multiple times. They kept mowing it despite having crocuses, snowdrops, and mini irises. TWICE. Ryan also told me it's stupid and insensible to put flowers in lawn. That's his opinion but to have them mow is again despite me telling them I want the remaining foliage a chance to live is too much for me to handle. Landscaping is expensive and expectations don't always align with reality. But this company's main issue is that it's too big and or subcontractors don't care. If you want brain dead lawn cutting, no problems here though.

I call out Foraker for solutions and they quoted me for a trenched drain (which would tie in 2 downspouts and a sump pump outlet) and grading of soil in that area. I was led to believe either one would solve my issue. I opted for the trenched drain (which was the more expensive option) because I hoped the final product would look better. At this point, the quote was only given verbally and my agreement was only verbal. I was expecting them to send me a contract to sign outlining the work to be done but that never happened. Next thing I know, I get a text saying they will be out tomorrow to do the job. They completed the project and left without saying a word. I inspect the work after they left and was disappointed with it. They used black corrugated pipe to connect to my white downspout and left it duct taped together. On top of that, it rained the next day and the problem still persisted. So now I contact them expressing my concerns about the quality of work and the persisting issue. I get a very rude response from the owner (Trevor) that he is not changing the pipe color, the duct tape just needs to be removed and the persisting problem is because I didn't do the grading. He stated (in text) that they will come out and put a drain box at the low point of the pooling and tie it in with the drain. I never responded because I was looking into other options. Shortly after with no notice or even a knock at the door, Foraker is back installing the drain box that was never even approved by me. Again after completion, the workers left without a word. A week later it rains, surprise surprise the pooling is still an issue because the soil around the box is lower than the box itself. I get a call from Foraker about payment and I explain the still persisting problem and the remaining issue of the pipe color. This is when the owner THREATENED to come to my house and rip out all the piping because "it's his since you haven't paid for it yet". That's the type of response you can expect from them if you criticize their work. I was the one forced to diffuse the situation and compromise with subpar work. Now I paid $2500 for a drain and drain box that doesn't resolve the issue and that I didn't even ask for. Also stuck with mismatching pipes that I was told to "just spray paint" by the company. All because Foraker doesn't want to fix things the right way and doesn't care about their customers. The owner kept saying how he has 20+ years of experience and I'm surprised they lasted this long with this type of attitude towards customers.

Hired Pristine Exteriors to do 15 house windows, its frame (the entire window) and got an estimate from Jay Hughes. Reasonable. He spent about five hours and did an outstanding job. He got his work ethic from his time in the Marine Corps and those core values by the grandparents that raised him. I can't say enough and am completing every review this baby boomer can figure out.

This is not the case with Jeff Kunkle and Pristine Home Exteriors. This needs to be shared in hopes of preventing others from making the same mistake. I hired Jeff Kunkle and Pristine Home Exteriors in April 2024 to address a leaking roof and water damage on the front of my house. Work began in May and continued for months. Although the work itself was sloppy on the finishes- "Pristine" is an incredible misnomer!- and Jeff often did not respond to calls or show up when he said he would, for the most part, the work was being completed and the leaks had stopped. This began to change when the invoices were mostly paid. When that happened, calls/texts were left unanswered and days on-site became few and far between. What's more troubling is the issue with the windows. I was told I needed new windows, at a cost of over $7,000 for both the windows and installation. Initially, I was informed that the windows would take 10 weeks to arrive, which seemed odd but not concerning at the time. After the wait,I was told the windows had arrived in the wrong color and could not be painted without voiding the warranty. Then, the story changed again: I was told the windows were never actually ordered, and that an employee of Jeff's had left town with the money. The inconsistencies in these stories grew more unbelievable over time. Furthermore, it turns out that the windows were never even necessary, and Jeff now admits he owes me a refund for this, which I'm sure I'll never see. We were left without repayment, an unfinished front of house, and unfinished roof ledge and owed money for the windows which never arrived. I have similarly left feedback with the Better Business Bureau and will pursue small claims court to recover my losses. Please stay far away from Jeff Kunkle, Pristine Home Exteriors or whatever business is subsequently spun up when this one is bankrupted.

We liked the complete service package which means that if they find wood rot in the window frames before replacing they will perform all the necessary work to make the frames suitable for install. The salesman who came to our home was quite pleasant and does not work on commission. The other companies we spoke to would not do that but would stop work until we took care of the identified issue. Our install was pushed back due to the weather by two weeks. We have had a terribly wet spring early summer here. On 6/30 Igor the foreman arrived and began work with 2 technicians. One of the windows was not properly measured and ordered so he called his home base and they ordered another correctly sized window. It will not be installed now but when it comes in they will call us and schedule the install. 2-3 weeks. Not good. It is a double window at the back of the house. All other measurements were perfect. One unexpected benefit was we did not need to remove our living room blinds. Total cost for 18 windows $39,895. We have 24 windows but are not replacing our garage or basement windows at this time. They work fine. Should be a 2-3 day job. The crew is diligent, careful and clean. The job was finished with walk through and window demonstration on the second day. The crew worked very hard and were very pleasant and cooperative. I made a lot of inquiries and they were very responsive. They knew what they were doing and they did it well. My backyard full of channels now looks very respectable and the drainage system is working well. In the future we anticipate some more outdoor projects and I will certainly keep them in mind.
