After pointing out the curbside option to her she refused and made me enter to answer 3 questions in person that could have just as easily been done over the phone when I called to alert them I was there. She also had her mask just over her mouth not her nose. This was sheer laziness and irresponsibility. Updated: The manager reached out to me and confirmed curbside is still in effect and improper mask use will not be tolerated. She also upgraded my dogs room which was appreciated. Thank you for addressing my customer service concerns promptly. I have changed the review from 2 stars to 4 stars to reflect this and since my dog always seems to enjoy himself there!

** Please Read Before Bringing Your Dogs to Pooch Hotel**…read more The new manager, Sue Reda, is absolutely HORRIBLE. She takes **no accountability** for anything. She missed fed my dog -- and I can't help but worry, what if it had been medication instead? This isn't just frustrating, it's dangerous. Other clients have noticed issues too. One of my friends' dogs was completely forgotten -- how are we supposed to trust they're even being let out for potties or cared for? To make things worse, I personally saw a pit bull mix placed in the small dog group. I have nothing against the breed, but that is absolutely not a small dog! -- it's unsafe and reckless. I'm sharing this because I care about the safety of all our pets. Please, **reconsider before trusting Pooch Hotel with your dog** under its current management. To Sue Reda: This isn't the job for you. Please reconsider this position -- it is NOT meant for you. The care of people's beloved pets is a serious responsibility, and this role demands far more attention, compassion, and professionalism than what's currently being shown.

My husband and I both commute into the city and Kate is so on top of the scheduling and responsive to our needs. When we had an emergency and couldn't get home she was over at our house within an hour. When our dog got a cut on her foot while playing Kate took her to the vet, got her medicine and even footed the bill despite my trying to cover it. She also runs the business like a true business and makes invoicing a breeze. Words can't describe the peace of mind it gives me having sound pups in our neighborhood!

With that said, I have absolutely no reservations about using Sound Pups. We have family in Norwalk and we visit frequently; we've needed someone to walk Molly while we're out and about with the fam. As soon as we did a meet and greet with Kate, I knew Sound Pups was the walking company for us. I expressed all of my anxieties and Kate confidently addressed each one. She understood my concerns and I walked away feeling COMPLETELY confident. I also have to admit, that doesn't happen often. When we're in Connecticut, I entrust Sound Pups to take care of Molly so we can enjoy our time with the family. A++, absolutely recommended. Thank you, Kate!!

    A Cat's Place

Ive unfortunately had to change my rating of a Cats Place after being a loyal customer for 7+…read moreyears. I've seen a shift in the way the place is staffed - the new staff seemed to care less and less. I've ignored signs (being that I myself work at an animal hospital - the burnout is real) but the fact that clients pay you to take care of their fur babies is a service you commit to provide. My boarding experience earlier this year- I noted that medication for my sick asthmatic cat was not given by the staff due to the fact that he "looked stressed". It would have been okay since they take your phone number in case of an emergency and promise to call if anything comes up. Instead I took him home, coughing and wheezing after 4-5 days away to look at the inhaler count to see it hadn't moved. I wasn't notified at pickup and had to call them to find out why. The funny thing is all the times we have used them to board, he could come back sick and we always used to think it was a change of environment. When I complained Jessica (management) was really great and compassionate and apologized essentially for the mishap and informed me that they will have protocols in place to tell owners when things like this happen. That's great, right? Except that it shouldn't take a mistake to have that plan in place. That should be the FIRST thing you do. I ended up having him admitted in another facility for 3+ days in Emergency until he was back to normal. All in all, it's a clean facility with only cats which is a major plus. However, I don't think we will be returning anymore. For those of you who board your pets, make sure that meds are being done when they are supposed to be done whether it be marking the bottle or noting the counts.

After years as a customer and thousands of…read moredollars spent on our cats care they left us high and dry with no treatment plan and no medications for our extremely anemic cat in her most critical moments. To add insult to injury, they threatened to call the police on my fiancé after she called 4 times begging for the vet to call us back or put in a prescription before closing time. I would not recommend my worst enemies bring their cats here. All they care about is taking your money, of which they managed to extract thousands from us, but when it comes to the actual care of your animals they could not care less. After being told we were no longer "a fit" at this vet, we made the decision to bring our cat to the local emergency vet for a second opinion. Lo and behold, she was diagnosed with feline leukemia, which she was also likely suffering from the last THREE TIMES we brought her to A Cat's Place since last April for the same symptoms, where the vet insisted on several occasions that our cats diarrhea and low grade fever were due to stress. Unbelievable. Who licensed these people to practice medicine on animals?
