I would go back for the hot dogs. I also enjoyed the option of sitting outside. There is so much going on in this neighborhood, and it's way more interesting than watching the sports on the televisions inside. The music is also a little less loud outside, which I always enjoy. And don't get us started on the Dixie Cup portion size of the chili... BUT... DANG, what incredible chili!! Seriously, get something with chili. We were there during Happy Hour, so the Boyfriend had both the THIS and the THAT (a Big Mac knockoff. He got his without lettuce and the sauce was unremarkable.) burgers. I had just the THIS (I'm a sucker for caramelized onions). The flavor of these burgers is delicious. We just wished that they were burger size. They come on King's Hawaiian rolls. You get two rolls, so if you want an American sized burger, order two. We also shared a Cowboy Dog (smoked bacon wrapped dog, cheddar cheese sauce, bbq sauce, crispy onions). Where this place let us down (besides the portion sizes) is the cocktails. Pretty as a picture, but horribly watered down to the point where I left most of mine behind - and I LOVE a good cocktail. The Boyfriend got a "Gin and Juice" which had a raspberry flavor, or was supposed to.. and I had a "Sunny..." something or other. It was supposed to have passionfruit... Mine was GROSSSSSS... just pass on the cocktails. They seem to have a decent selection of beers, but I'm not a beer drinker. There are a boatload of restaurants in the area. I don't know that we'll ever return here. It was a decent enough experience. *noting we only went to this location for happy hour because they are an option on the DC Pub Pass- it wasn't a great happy hour spot-granted the whole appeal of the place is their food & we weren't eating- take my review with a grain of salt. Centrally located in downtown Silver Spring, we grabbed a seat at the bar for HH, as indoor seating was cramped & outdoor seating didn't look appealing (their other locations definitely have better ambiance) The bartender was friendly, offering samples before committing- but honestly prices were jacked up to begin with $9-11a beer, so happy hour only took the price down to normal beer prices-this wasn't worth it for the minimal variety available. I saw online that they had sandwiches, etc. based on impossible "meat" products. I went there prepared to remove the egg, remove the cheese, and remove the spicy aioli (because of vegan diet). To my surprise, not on the menu, the server told me that they had vegan eggs, vegan cheese, and vegan aioli. I was VERY happily surprised. I was able to carry home to my vegan wife the vegan burrito bounty I was able to find in a place where vegan is kinda sparse. Big kudos!!! read more

I've been waiting for this location to open, and though it's been open for a while, I was finally able to visit. I went on a Friday night, and it was pretty packed. Service wasn't bad at all, and my friend and I were able to find somewhere to sit. We ordered a couple cocktails to start. I got the Gin-n-Juice, which tasted great and beautifully presented with a hibiscus flower. I later on ordered the Irish Hello which was great as well. To eat, I got three impossible sliders, and they were topped with just caramelized onions and mayo. They were absolutely amazing! I literally can't stop thinking about them lol. I think what really got me were the buns. They had a sweet taste to them. So, my experience here was great. I just ordered Door dash from here the other day and got the holy aioli burger and fries. I was so disappointed as the last time I visited in person the food was actually good but the service was terrible. However this time, the fries were extremely salty, i tried wiping the salt down with a paper towel and it was no help. I literally felt like my ankles were getting swollen from eating these extremely salty fries. The garlic aioli on the burger was not good at all. The burger was not seasoned at all and just wasn't good, completely wasted $30. I wish the app had an option to get the garlic aioli on the side. Custom "special" hot dogs and burgers made to order. Great staff who are friendly and helpful. I had some surgery so I had some trouble walking and they would carry them out to the car. The weakness is their series of failed apps which lead you in circles, cannot ever recognize the deals (such as BOGO) that they alert you to in email but then cannot honor. Dog Haus is a cool place to get a quick lunch. One unique thing is that the burger base are Hawaiian dinner rolls. I elected to get the "That Burger" on happy hour and the happy hour tots but they give me fries (bartenders was able to quickly fix it) . The That burger happy hour size comes with two rolls but one is only shown in picture because I was hungry. The first Kiss cocktail was a great choice!! It was pretty nice outside as I walked over from the parking garage next door, so I ordered and sat in the outdoor dining area. They brought out my food when it was ready, I got the chili the kid dog. This was good washed down with an orange Fanta. The chili was slightly spicy, the Hawaiian roll bun was slightly sweet, and white cheddar cheese mild. Each bite of the savory hot dog left me craving the other flavors. This restaurant fully opened on Dec 10, 2021. Their menu features hot dogs, hamburgers, sausages, chicken, plant-based options, beer, and cocktails. Their meats and toppings are what make them outstanding. Being familiar with the other two Dog Haus Biergarten restaurants in Montgomery County, my wife and I decided to check out this location. We got a Hangover burger, a Little Mule burger, and a Sam Adams Cold Snap beer.    The Hangover burger had white American cheese, smoked bacon, haus chili, fried egg, and mayonnaise inside 4 King's Hawaiian rolls. The hamburger was tender and moist with a savory flavor. It was umami galore with the combination of burger, bacon, chili, and runny egg yolk. They put together salty, spicy, sweet, and umami flavors to make a well-rounded burger. This was an impressively flavorful burger! FYI, they claim that their beef comes from 100% genetically tested, humanely raised, hormone- and antibiotic-free Black Angus cows at Creekstone Farms.    The Little Mule burger had avocado, white American cheese, tangy pickled jalapenos, crumbly cotija cheese, a runny fried egg, and chipotle aioli inside 4 Kings Hawaiian rolls. The jalapeños stood out against a background of complimentary umami flavors. My wife loved it! Get this if you want a savory burger with a spicy kick and a bit of tanginess.    The Samuel Adams Cold Snap beer is a seasonal beer available from January until March. It is a white ale that was a touch malty with herb and floral notes. Easy to drink and reasonably priced. You should try it while it's still available!    The service was quick for ordering but slow in cooking. It took 50 minutes for our food to arrive. There was one woman handling all of the customers. The bartender was helping her when he wasn't busy. There were plenty of customers on this day, so the delay was understandable. The dining room and restrooms were clean. The restrooms were locked and required a numeric code to enter. The code was posted under the keypad. Strange. There were napkin dispensers at each table. Thank goodness because the burgers were super messy to eat! The sodas and water were self-serve. They have carbonated water available in the soda machine. There were lots of wall mounted large screen televisions around the dining room. So, it's somewhat noisy in there. Overall, the food was very tasty, the atmosphere was casual and relaxed, and the location was in an upper middle class business area. Parking is available at Wayne Ave Garage, 8506 Fenton Street Garage, and 833 Wayne Ave parking lot at Whole Foods Market. I came to Dog Haus during happy hour the other day, and wasn't particularly impressed. I liked the little outdoor shopping area it was located in, but the ambiance of the restaurant itself left a lot to be desired. I ordered one of the IPAs on their menu (which was not an easy menu to read because it kept switching between different screens with beer options, rather than having all of the options on one screen) but received a different IPA. The beer I got was still good, but definitely not what I ordered. It also took a few minutes to get the attention of someone to take our order, despite the restaurant being completely empty. If you want any desciption of listed drafts, you need to walk over to chalk board 12' high and consult and remember draft #, return to touch screen, etc. When your beer is delivered there is zero inquiry into how are you, ned water. Most minimal servic and zeto upsell. The burger on 4 slider bunswas greasy, mushy, and blah though spiced. The menu seems all about offeing the fewest ingredients possible, just recasting, renaming items. I would say 3.5 stars. It's a really cool spot in the downtown area with so many beer options. We decided to start with the Buffalo wings (6 for $13.50 is a bit steep however) and they were really delicious. We were presently surprised and would definitely go back to get them again. We ordered the wings first, but they came out at the same time as the rest of the food we ordered after the wings so that was a little sad. We had to decide what to eat first and what to allow to get cold. I ordered the the Little Mule burger and it had a lot of nice flavor combos but the burger itself wasn't very flavorful. Wish it had come out after the wings so I could have eaten it while it was hot. Ryan tried the Chili the Kid and he really liked it, although not his favorite he's tried so far. My experience was excellent. The location is nice and pretty spacious in size. Got there around 6:00 pm on a Friday and it wasn't crowded. Which is right up my alley. Although more people had filled up the bar and other seating area by the time me and my friend left. But it was enough space so it didn't feel overcrowded or anything. The man who greeted us and took our order when we came in was very nice and patient. Your order is placed at the front register and they bring it to your table or bar area if you choose to sit there.
