A great place to bring the kids to play. Their food and drinks are pretty good. There's always some special they got going on for either drinks and or food. It's pretty big inside and the seating and bar is away from the games. The service can be good or terrible. We're talking burgers that don't taste like they came out of a microwave, wings that actually have flavor, and appetizers that somehow disappear off the plate faster than you can say, "I'll just have one fry." And here's the best part--you can carry your drink around while you play the games. That's right, folks, you can shoot aliens, race cars, and sink basketball shots without ever having to abandon your beverage. It's basically the American Dream in action. The games themselves range from nostalgic classics to high-tech wonders that make you feel like you're living inside an arcade machine. This Dave & Buster's location had improved from its past which is a great sign! The lady who works at the front was friendly, attentive, and provided great customer service holding my mom's bag at the shelf in the front and offering to put my coat up for a coat check which was free of charge. She helped with the options for the game load cards, since it had been many years since the last time I had came here. It was nice to see a new reservation area and some fresh games. Now some of the games such as the racing games might move a little fast and some like the slot machine and the 4 way pong and Pacman games are not explained the best and can be confusing, while the basketball, skee-ball, and some of the shooter games are a bit more consistent offering amazing, fun, trilling, and exciting gameplay. Other games like the Ghostbusters and the UFC game right in the front are total letdowns. The axe throwing is apart of the fad with ax throwing and thank goodness the axes are plastic but the rubber board is hard to get the plastic axes to stick, but with proper technique it does work. I was excited with some of the new games and some of the old reliable ones in the arcade. DTSS Ellsworth Place had an adorable small independent arcade with Dance Dance Revolution and basketball game in it back in the day on a lower level, so it is great that D&B opened up almost around a decade ago to provide an arcade in a mall that was truly lacking and desperate to be brought back to relevancy. The restaurant food had improved a bit since the last time I was here pre-COVID, and the service was friendly but a bit slow and erratic at times certainly have to pack your patience, that is a running theme with Dave & Busters with the slow restaurant and bar. The place was clean and had hand sanitized wipes and clean tables throughout parts of the arcade which was splendid. Nobody with class and decorum want sticky tables with crumbs and liquid spills on them, so nice with having the tables and games clean and wiped down and floor vacuumed, big kudos! The patrons themselves can be an issue. Security had to inform a father with a kid that the dad let him climb one of the arcade machines standing on it to have the kid get off from the machine. This was dangerous and idiotic. Someone had a dog with a diaper on with a leash roaming around here trying to sniff people. That also was a poor decision even for an emotional support animal, all of the overstimulation and loud noise and tons of kids an adults, it just meant no sense to bring fido to the arcade. Why do people insist bringing these dogs everywhere these days and lack respect for boundaries especially with other human beings. It is if they have more respect for the dogs than the other patrons and not even paying attention and keeping up with the dog going around to other people there. The kids should also not be playing with balls in the actual restaurant/bar. That is the problem with the poor parenting and undisciplined children having a lot out here these days. It's been a minute since I've been to Dave & Buster's, but we came, we ate, we played, and it was a good time! If you've never been to this location before, it might be difficult to find inside the mall, but it's located all the way at the top ~ so keep taking the escalators/elevator up ~ it's located across from the Burlington Coat Factory. We started with dinner (restaurant is located in the back). They had lots of screens going to play the very important NFL playoff games and later aired a UFC fight. After checking in at the hostess desk, we were able to pick our table. Our server was Pedro and he was awesome. He was friendly, approachable, accessible, checked on us multiple times, and he was a good sport about delivering bad news about the menu (several items we initially ordered ended up being unavailable). We were also celebrating a birthday and he was very helpful with coordinating bringing out a surprise candle-lit dessert. Special shout-out to Pedro for putting in so much care and effort to make the birthday girl feel special - he even went as far as letting us secretly choose the color of the candle for the cake! Most of our table ordered burgers for our entrees. The burgers were huge, came with a good serving of nicely seasoned fries, and all were cooked correctly to the desired temperature. Condiments were already set on the table. Our group had several picky eaters, and each entree was prepared accurately with the requested modifications/substitutions - kudos to the kitchen team for their attention to detail! I ordered the mushroom stout burger. It had good flavor but was a bit greasy and quickly turned soggy to hold. This made the burgers messy to eat, but Pedro planned accordingly and handed us a large stack of extra napkins on the table at the start of the meal - which we definitely put to good use! After our meal, we were ready to play! Remember to bring your D&B Power Card (if you already have one), or you'll have to purchase a new one at one of their machines or at the front desk ($3 activation fee + tax). They also have an app where you can download a digital Power Card, track balances, and keep it all handy on your phone. While some of the games (only a few) were out of order, most of the games were functioning, seemed current, and had their necessary accessories available (balls, rings, etc.). They had several tables strategically placed around the games to be able to set your stuff down and get into the game. I do wish there were more hand-sanitizing stations around after all the game-touching, but nothing felt too grimy. Restrooms, on the other hand (located in the corner next to the prize redemption area), weren't quite pristine on a late Saturday evening. To be honest, I was expecting the prizes to be junky (I had Chuck E. Cheese level expectations), but they had good prize selection to take home a fun/cute souvenir. They had plushies of various sizes, an ICEE machine, a karaoke microphone, fleece blankets, LED lights, mystery figurines, even a ceramic ramen bowl (which caught my eye), among other merch that you would find at a store in the mall. You can even redeem your tickets for food (check with the prize counter for redemption details), so pro tip: play first and redeem your winnings for shareables (appetizers), entrees, or desserts after! After all the game playing, we were parched and needed a drink. The hostess desk was able to provide us with complimentary cups of water to quench our thirst. While we waited for our drinks, several employees checked on us to see if we needed assistance. I appreciate their team-oriented approach to make sure customers are taken care of. Every employee that we interacted with had a good energy and showed that they were attentive to customers' needs. This D&B management team is doing something right. Dave & Buster's is open later than the other stores in the mall. If you stay past mall closing, the only way to exit is through the Skywalk, which empties out into Town Square Garage, so be sure to park in that garage for an easy getaway at night. We stopped by D&B's so I could have a walk down memory lane, and everything (for the most part) was fine . . . for a 40 something year old. D&B's has a nice array of games. However, I remember more interactive games (e.g. a trivia game) back in the day when I frequented D&B (in another location). I was somewhat disappointed because serval games were not working properly. For instance, you'd pay to play, but the game would not start. That said, game room attendants were very prompt with putting money back on your card with little to no questions asked. I think they kinda know that the there are some issues with the machines. We ordered some small bites (chicken wings, chicken potstickers, and fries), which we thought they were fine for D&B's. While I wouldn't go out of my way to eat at D&B's, I thought the food decent for the location. You know, I'm not going to expect a Michelin type of restaurant at an arcade spot. D&B's does have a nice happy hour special that include a wide assortment of $5 adult beverages. Since we spent most of our time at the bar, I thought our bartenders were pretty decent. While one of the bartenders wasn't super friendly, he was prompt in making our drinks. Overall, I thought this location was very spacious and pretty clean. I'm a big fan of the clown game. Came here with a $35 card just to play this specific game. Game tokens go a long way on some of the games and will vanish so quickly on others. GLOWS: - A good variety of games GROWS: - it was hard to find someone to load a new card for us. It was difficult to find the front desk with the different entrances -There was a horrible smell coming from the front area. Smelled like possible sewage. -Getting into the building was kind of confusing. I ordered the chicken parmesan meal.and was totally disappointed with the fact that the bartender thought it was acceptable to bring me a plastic fork and plastic knife. Great Food & Service, But Horrible Family Facility Experience I visited the David & Buster's in Silver Spring, MD and ordered the Stacked Steak Bowl and it was delicious. Great flavor and portion size. The service was also excellent staff were friendly and attentive, which I really appreciated. Unfortunately, the experience was overshadowed by the condition of the family facilities. The family bathroom was locked and completely inaccessible, which made things difficult. Even worse, the baby changing table in the regular restroom was filthy covered in what looked like dried feces and grime. I had to clean it myself with my own wipes just to use it. That's simply unacceptable, especially for a place that caters to families. Good food and service only go so far when basic hygiene standards aren't met. My wife and I attended her friend's wedding in Silver Spring, we had some time to kill between the Mass and the reception, and when our initial plan for how to spend that time fell through, we saw the Dave and Busters sign and decided to go there. This isn't am especially large D&B, but it was big enough to have all of the games we look for. We were able to play air hockey, the Mario Kart arcade game, the free throw shooting game, Buck Hunter, and a few others. We weren't there for food, but drink service at the bar was quick enough. We also ran into the groom's mom there, because she'd taken the children of the family there som that they could be kids in between the church service and reception where they'd have to behave. They seemed to be having a great time. I'm sure they're not perfect, but to paraphrase What About Bob, they're not slackers, they're doin' the work. Visited on the 1st with 7 kids & 6 adults. Had to wait a while to be seated because of the amount of people but that was to be expected. Wanted to order the Eat & Play combo which is only supposed to be unavailable on Friday & Saturday after 5. That is not true. Arrived at 2:48 and it definitely did not take us that long to order but was told that the combo was not available on the weekends at all. Didn't want to disappoint the kids and the majority of us were from PA so didn't have the time or energy (after being at the zoo all morning) to find another location. Came here to watch NFL games. Service is super slow at the bar and not even many people here. One bar back is either eating food, on her phone and even saw her picking her teeth. Bartender was very slow and took forever for me to cash out. Air quality was so stuffy and a weird damp, sewer-like smell around the bar. 7-11-24 came here for date night as many times as I've been to this area I never been in the building so everything was new to me. Simple but colorful, we got game cards and when I tell you wall to wall games it was literally that! They had games arundel didn't, your every turn was some bright lite up games be it racing, bowling, basketball you name it, it was all in here!!.... My asthma was acting up already so I couldn't play as actively as I wanted to but thee games I did I discovered I had a great arm for pitching and a niice Aim for the target center for Axe throwing!! My Bf won several games !!! . There were soo many games! I wondered where was the restaurant and bar! But it's there it's a bit small sectional but it cool it's dark over there but light enough to eat your food lol . The customer service was great the game attendant manager came when the game got stuck and it immediately worked there after we didn't have to wait at all just a few minutes 5 minutes!! Others I've been to drag their feet because they hate their jobs I guess idk. Overall this location was highly enjoyable and very Fun!! Mediocre. I haven't been here in years (maybe more than a decade). I remember it being more fun, with more interactive games and machines. Many machines worked haphazardly. Skee Ball didn't release 9 balls; my friend's game had 3 and I had 1. The machine you push coins through to make them fall off a ledge took my tokens and didn't function. Other games just didn't react to buttons or had delayed reactions. So many kids and teens. Why not take them to Chuck-e-Cheese's? Wasn't D&B meant for adult gaming? Crowded, running around unsupervised or loosely supervised, there were large gaggles of children. There's a large bar and restaurant as well. We didn't eat here but would not rule it out. Buy the Groupon at half off and wait for a 20% coupon and save money! The experience wasn't worth the $18 I spent. read more

I notice it is much harder to get prizes you want compared to when I was a kid. The food is okay here and has improved each time I went. While only a D&B one would think they had just an iota of care, concern, and cleanliness. Decided to sit at the D&B Sports Bar section to watch College Football Saturday games. Channels froze often for multiple minutes at a time. Avoid this horrible location like the plague. Customer service is non-existent because the particular afternoon I came they were preparing for a huge UFC fight later that night. They were so focused on making money later that they did not give too much care to those of us paying good money right now. Like a swanky downtown restaurant the bar menu did not have prices; calorie count but no prices. The bar was as sticky as the floor in an old adult movie theater from the 1970's. At one point a guy sat at the bar with his two kids (under 10 years old) and he was served food and beer. I thought the kids were buying the first round, but maybe the kid left his credit card at home next to his beer bong and fake ID. One waitress sampled EVERY drink poured for her tables by the bar staff. At first I though she was just trying to distinguish the different beers so she did not mix them up. I actually saw her take a straw-finger taste from a clearly marked bottle of beer. Thank goodness she used a fresh straw every time and just did a straw-finger pipet method taste. They constantly put paper receipts right on top of filled drinks so servers knew what was what. The same principle works when the paper is placed under the cup too. D&B has cameras everywhere they can check the footage from 10/06/2018 at around 5:30-7:00 at the back part of the bar where servers fill drink orders. Just disgusted, disappointed, and frustrated. Service was pretty quick considering how crowded they were. The bathrooms were also huge and clean. Downsides include the lack of variety in prizes. we spent about $70 and had enough tickets ("coupons") for a few bags of gummy bears. My daughter loves D&B and since we were somewhat nearby, I decided to check this out. It was on the smaller side but that's perfectly fine. Honestly, I feel like if you have been to one D&B, you've been to them all. Same games and vibe. There were quite a few games that were out of order which was kinda disappointing. I didn't spend too much money and we enjoyed about an hour and a half of fun. This doesn't have anything to do with this specific location but the ticketing system at places like this is such a scam. My daughter had enough tickets to get a slinky (insert eye roll). Anyway, we didn't get any food on this trip so our visit wasn't too long. It was enjoyable but I didn't care for the customer service in the gift shop/ticket reward area. Whew. I love Dave and Buster's... But this location needs some serious work. Went yesterday for the wild card games. There were so many instances of poor service, I'll just name a few. - table hostess was extremely rude and couldn't care less - table had spilled liquid, dozens of French fries, half eaten chicken wings, and plastic gloves under the table. The server had to clean them himself and then call over the manager to show him other tables in the same area. Was pretty disgusting. - came for the playoff football games- we arrived just before the second game. When the first game ended, they screens stayed on that channel playing the post game show and then some irrelevant college basketball game. Had to ask three different people to get the channels changed to the second football game - which was absurd. One person even snapped at me about it. - apparently their NFL game specials were not valid on wild card weekend. That's a direct quote. Only th3 regular season and the "real playoffs". Why would the restaurant bother explicitly excluding wild card weekend?? Bizarre. - the check took an absurdly long time to get paid. Kid you not - asked for the check just as the second quarter was ending and finally got 5o sign and get our cards back at the 10:00 mark of the their quarter. Roughly half an hour later! Many more absurdities with regards to service, including pushing odd substitutoons for things they were out of without checking with us. Man.
