    billiards pool tables

Came here on a Sunday evening and it is pretty quiet and not packed. It's pretty empty which is great if you are looking for a quiet Sunday afternoon and evening. They have lots of pool tables you can use for free which means you can come with a group of friends and play pool. They have a large bar. Their chairs do have rips on them and they look old.

    $5 All day specials!

My friend and I just wanted a couple of drinks around 10:00, so we decided to see what our local (at the time) options were. As we were walking, I spotted a bar that had green decor on the outside, so it caught my attention, of course. From outside we could see a lot of pool tables inside, and when we got close we heard some appealing music. We decided to stop in and were amazed at how large it is! To the right, there's a door that goes to a rather spacious outdoor area which must be awesome during the day or a peak summer night. The bar is rather large, and there are plenty of high tables near it if it happens to be full. The pool tables are abundant, but I don't know whether they're free or if you have to pay for them. The music was a mix of top 40 and some Spanish tunes. Anyways, a pair of seats freed up just as we approached, so we sat down and immediately got taken care of. The environment was VERY "bar"... the bar seats all had tears in them, and there was beer everywhere hahaha. It was clean though. They have quite an abundant menu of $5 all day specials, which are great! Some of the choices are Malibu, Johnny Red, Jack Honey and Captain Morgan. These specials seem to be on top of the happy hour they already have which exists until 7:00 PM. We got a few drinks... they weren't the strongest ones that I have had, but they were decent. We finished and we were on our merry way. The bartenders were all very nice too!

    Round 2.

Great place and maybe one of two places in the Wheaton Aspen Silver Spring area to play pool. Drinks are decent. I can't speak for food but definitely a dive + pool hall vibe and a great place to hangout if you just want to drink, with or without playing pool.

This place is the worst! Almost no beer selection (miller light and bud on tap) and weird crowd. I do not suggest going here...ever.

We arrived around 6pm for dinner & drinks and there was only one other patron when we arrived, but since the place is open til 2 am I suspect it starts hopping later on. There were a few tables of guests by the time we left. They have a bunch of pool tables so will need to come to play pool sometime. Last night we just ate and drank. We started with a couple of strawberry margaritas, they were quite nice. Good level of sweet for me (I like em sweet!) and I was a little tipsy but not drunk after one. We ordered the garnachas and the arroz con mariscos to share for our meal. Everything was good but my favorite was the garnachas; stewed beef on a thick corn tortilla with a sprinkling of queso blanco, salsa and some cabbage garnish to put on top. Very flavorful, not at all spicy, and a nice alternative to nachos. The beef was similar to what you'd get in a birria taco but without the consomme on the side. The arroz con mariscos was also very good and was a huge portion; despite us sharing it we had over half of it left so will be enjoying it again tonight. The rice itself has good flavor and the seafood was cooked properly, not overcooked. There were some mussels, a lot of shrimp, some squid I think, honestly I can't remember exactly... I blame the margarita. I would have liked to have a drink menu as I think there was a little bit of language barrier with our server. We kind of understood each other, but not fully and I don't think she understood when I asked if there was a cocktail menu which is why I just asked directly about margaritas, to which I was informed there were lemon and strawberry. They do have a full bar and can probably make a huge variety of drinks, if you speak Spanish you might have more luck. There were a lot of other items on the menu that sounded good, so we'll likely be back. Honestly my only quibble is there was an automatic 15% service charge, it wasn't clear if that is a gratuity or one of those new extra service fees that some restaurants add. I didn't see any mention on the menu (which I didn't have in hand by the time the bill came to confirm one way or the other) and honestly I didn't have a lot of confidence in being able to ask the server whether that charge is for gratuity or not with our language incompatibility, so we added extra gratuity just to make sure since we normally tip 20% anyway. I don't want to stiff the staff, but I would also like to be informed up front if there is a service charge or automatic gratuity. I'm dinging a star just for that bit of ambiguity.

We altered the mushroom special with half sausage. The three cheeses and the caramelized onions with balsamic made for a delicious pizza! The waitstaff was great - checked in frequently and even teased us with humor when we requested a box to take home what we didn't finish. My only suggestion is the beer selections should be clearer on the menu.

We just had a few ciders, and they were a dollar off. For food, I got the haddock platter that came with Old Bay potato chips and veggies. I really loved the fish and those chips, but I found the veggies to have more butter than I'm typically comfortable with. And to me it was just that, not necessarily seasoning to upgrade the flavor. Otherwise, the bar area can get a little tight during peak hours, and there are plenty of lower tables to sit at. Seems like the place can I get busy on any given day, but it's a vibe! Everybody is really nice. Parking can be a challenge I feel like (somehow I got the last spot)... If it fills up, the adjacent lot is adamant about the parking only being for the few restaurants there. And the street parking is going to be a gamble.

Oh, the drinks. I'm pretty sure the slushies here have magical powers because one minute you're sipping away, the next you're convinced you could beat the world record on Skee-Ball. They're colorful, they're tasty, and they're the perfect balance of "refreshing" and "might accidentally text your ex." The food? Shockingly good. Like, actual restaurant good. We're talking burgers that don't taste like they came out of a microwave, wings that actually have flavor, and appetizers that somehow disappear off the plate faster than you can say, "I'll just have one fry." And here's the best part--you can carry your drink around while you play the games. That's right, folks, you can shoot aliens, race cars, and sink basketball shots without ever having to abandon your beverage. It's basically the American Dream in action. The games themselves range from nostalgic classics to high-tech wonders that make you feel like you're living inside an arcade machine. You might walk in saying, "I'll just play a couple games," but next thing you know, you're deeply invested in winning a stuffed banana wearing sunglasses. All in all, Dave & Buster's is that rare place where you can be a grown-up and a kid at the same time--only with better cocktails. Highly recommend for dates, birthdays, or just a random Tuesday when you feel like shooting zombies while sipping a frozen blue drink.
