I cannot recommend PUPS enough! I have an incredibly challenging hound dog, and I was at an…read moreabsolute loss for what to do with her. I had done months of private lessons using positive only training and had made almost no progress. She is so friendly, but very reactive to other dogs, and when triggered would lose her mind to the point that the police had been called because it sounds like I'm killing her. Enter PUPS. Firstly, it is so clear how much Chelsea and Phelan love dogs and what they do. I would trust them to take care of all of my dogs. As to my crazy hound, she was a changed canine after their program. I can walk her, take her places without her losing control, and have established clearer boundaries and expectations. I can even bring her to work with me! I received frequent updates with videos of how they were working with my dog and directions on how to respond to problematic behaviors. I left with instructions on how to maintain the positive changes that had been taught to her. Any time I need help or guidance (and I mean ANY time) Chelsea is there for me and my Peanut. I just send a text and maybe a quick video, and I get a detailed, helpful response tailored to my dog and her needs. If you have a pup who is giving you a run for your money, bring them to PUPS. You WILL NOT regret it.

Chelsea and Phelan took the time to meet with us to understand where we were in our training journey and where we wanted to be. While we waited for our board-and-train spot, we met with PUPS regularly for training sessions both at home and in public settings to address immediate needs. This included walking calmly in public, polite door greetings, and setting clear, consistent expectations for our new GSD. Throughout the process, Chelsea and Phelan were always quick to answer our questions and explain why certain approaches work, which made a huge difference for us. The amount of knowledge I gained from working with Chelsea and Phelan is immeasurable. They are approachable, understanding, compassionate, incredibly knowledgeable, and true advocates for the dogs they train. After our GSD completed her board and train, friends and family could not believe how calm and well-adjusted she was. They helped her find a healthy mindset and, just as importantly, taught us how to carry her progress forward at home. Our GSD has developed such a strong bond with Chelsea and Phelan; she is always happy to return for boarding. I am so thankful we found PUPS and highly recommend their services to anyone searching for professional, compassionate dog training. Struggling with a new pup can feel isolating, but Chelsea and Phelan help you and your dog confidently get back out into the world.

We would pick her up and she was a "hyper-fit" but soon settled back into our home routine after reassurance, a shower and much brushing. We picked her up yesterday and she was so glad. She was also shining clean and had been brushed out , toenails trimmed (really well). She was less stressed, even when coming home into the house. She was glad to be home as always but way more comfortable with being gone. We had a repair man stop by today, and for the first time ever, she didn't run out barking and trying to scare him off, she was watchfull, but not threatening . Not sure how you managed this, but whoever is working there now , THANK YOU, for taking such good care of her and helping with her training. Kerry Dougherty & Dick Dyer

He was on all 4 legs when I took him in. The pressure from the big dogs or the jumping around badly hurt his leg and now he is on 3 legs. I think I have to start all over again and get him to the surgeon he saw this spring. I cannot put my finger on it, but I suspect the staff has not had training or they lack questioning skills when a new dog is presented. Like a doc's office: is the dog on any medication? has the dog had surgery recently? is the dog allergic to cleaning solutions? Just basic inquiries might have helped determine the small dog should not go with the big dogs.

Moki is 11 now and suffers from arthritis, but still loves to be super active and get out and play. I was away out of town for one long weekend with my boyfriend and we asked Brandy to take Moki for a hilly hike and I couldn't have asked for better care. Brandy was meticulous making sure she had all of Moki's essentials before they left. She put together a little care package with water, snacks, poop bags, leash and of course Moki's favorite ball. Brandy was also very careful about what type of meds Moki might need in case she was sore when she came back and we discussed Moki's favorite way to take her meds too. You could really tell Brandy had lots of prior experience as a Vet Tech the way she was so systematic about it all. However, the special bond Brandy formed with my dog after only meeting her for such a short while before we had to leave and go out of town was really the most impressive thing of all. Brandy really loves animals and she has a special way about her that makes them respond very positively to her too. I couldn't believe how attached Moki was to Brandy when we got back and also how good Moki looked with no limping or soreness even though they had gone for a pretty long hard hike together, as per my request. Brandy said that she had even given Moki a little mini doggy massage on her back legs, which was wonderful. Moki seemed so happy that she had gotten to get out still even though Mom and Dad had to go away for the weekend. Brandy provided exactly the type of service I am looking for in a pet sitter. I wouldn't want to give anything less to our family's fuzzy best friend.
