I selected Dog Proof photography because I wanted someone who works mainly with dogs (instead of photographers who take pet pictures on the side), and she did not dissapoint. She was very open about the process, answered all my questions patiently. She gave me a a list of locations that is within driving distance but was open if I wanted a place of my own choosing. I'm glad I chose one of the places she shared, she knew hwere to go, and good places to take the pics. At our appointment, she came on time and was very well-prepared. I cannot praise Dog Proof Photography enough- they are AMAZING. At first, I was just playing with the idea of getting my dog, Ruth, photographed. Deciding whether or not it was worth the money, time, effort, etc. Clearly I decided to do it and let me tell you- IT WAS 100% WORTH IT ALL. I didn't have any idea where to go to take photos- so Dog Proof set up an absolute perfect array of places to take her. We went to wide open fields, beautiful lakes, graffiti walls, bridges- it was quiet the adventure. Ruth had a blast! Unlike most photo studios, Dog Proof let Ruth be a dog. They captured her jumping for her tennis ball, digging in the sand, exploring the woods. Every single photo showcased Ruth having the time of her life, enjoying being a dog. Not to mention, Ang is not afraid to get muddy! She got in the dirt to take half of our photos- getting the best of Ruth's angles! It was incredible to see her work!! When the photos came back, we were stunned. These photos will last a lifetime, moments that I could never have captured on my own, that are hanging on our walls forever. We were drawn to Dog Proof Photography because of the vibrancy of photos (and silly dogs!) in the portfolio & a recommendation from a fellow pet owner. I have used Dog Proof Photography four times and I cannot say enough good things! Ang will do literally anything to get a great shot. We've used Dog Proof Photography in every season and nothing will stop her from laying on the ground to get the perfect photo - not mud, not snow, not bees. Seriously. We've shot all 3 of our dogs together and it was seamless. Dan, the dog trainer, allows the owner to sit back and enjoy watching the shoot (but are also open to you helping out, if you'd prefer to be a part of the action). We've cataloged our dogs through the years and it's the best thing we've done, especially to look back at when our pups are no longer with us. I've had three sessions with Ang and the photos came out amazing! She brought treats, toys and sqeakers to get the dogs to cooperate for the photos. Both dogs are young, high energy and can be easily distracted but she knew exactly how to work with them. The location she chose for the sessions were perfect. Hands down the best!! The pictures I have of Panda from our shoot are pictures I will cherish forever. Ang came prepared with treats, toys and little exercise drills for Panda.
