Over the years, we have constantly shared what we learned with fellow dog owners and have recommended her services. Alyssa set us up with the tools for success so we could have an amazing life with our pack member! We worked hard with our husky Meeka to the point we taker her to restaurants, go camping / hiking / biking and even go on long car rides 6+ hours with few issues! We have even heard from strangers, daycare facilities and even Banfield that Meeka is so well behaved even when we're not there! I am so glad we decided to work with Alyssa because Meeka was honestly a rambunctious, overly excited and extremely curious puppy. The early months were difficult and many said she was a trainer's dog. Although my husband and I had never had a dog previously, we wanted Meeka to be part of our active lifestyle and were willing to do the work so we did not let that deter us! It took months of training to set up a solid foundation and years of continued positive reinforcement and training to maintain a consistent environment, but it was well worth it. We've been able to slowly expand her boundaries from needing to be in a crate when home alone, to being free to roam certain areas of the house without any worries! Alyssa is SO knowledgeable, genuinely cares, is extremely patient and is both professional and personable. She maintains a calm demeanor under every circumstance and we wouldn't have the sanity and calm household we have today without having worked with Alyssa! And that's saying a lot because even though Meeka is now 7.5 years old, many think she is less than a year because she is still so playful and energetic! Our cat of 18 years had recently passed away and our hope was introducing the new cats would be somewhat smooth considering the cohabitation of over a decade but it proved more challenging than we had imagined. Erin is calm and cool and slipped in easily. All the pets loved her and adjusted to her presence quickly. Erin gave us expert advice and helped us to get past the road blocks we were encountering. She had great suggestions to reframe our intros through different exercises that really moded the needle forward. I appreciated how Erin offered intro calls before enrolling for classes to ask any questions on how the classes are structure. Class sizes are kept small and they use positive reinforcement. We decided to enroll our dog at Woof! Erin sends an intro email before class to prepare you and what you need to bring/get for class in addition to resources and guides on training. Reminder texts/emails before class, so you don't forget. Woof offers group classes for adult and puppies, private 1:1 lessons, or a mix of both. My partner and I have really enjoyed going to Woof. In class, Erin will model the cues and have us practice the cues with our dog and give guidance or answer any of our questions. The building is located in City Heights and has its own parking lot behind the building to park.

Our 4 month old puppy, Atlas, had a rough start at life and I was so worried he would lose so much of his progress if we went away, but Mia stepped in and helped out so much with his training and care! He came back such a great walker with good habits and better manners with other pups and people. I met with Mia before deciding to do the board and train and she was so detailed and knowledgeable. It made me feel very comfortable with her and Atlas. We discussed in detail his current training, my goals, and concerns and worries I had, etc. She was very thorough and made sure to keep us updated on his progress while we were away. We randomly found Mia on IG to help with our resource guarding , anxious corgi. I did 3 sessions…read morewith mia at our house which were super beneficial especially helping me understand my dogs innate personality traits and how to work this the dog I had in front of me. We ended up going out of town for 10 days and I was unsure who I could trust with our corgi as she is still a work in progress. We decided to board and train her with Mia. While our corgi will always be a unique challenge , I am now much more confident in how to work with her. Mias approach to training truly takes into account the dogs personality and also family dynamic. I'm thankful we found her . She is also available to help post training. No board in train will ever "fix" your dog so as new issues arrive in so thankful to have Mia as a resource to help me problem solve!

I brought my girl in for some deep seated dog aggression issues with what I thought were pretty big goals. He's helped us become better, more informed dog owners and make sure we're meeting Juni's physical and mental needs, not just teaching her commands. The results speak for themselves: she has off-leash freedom we honestly didn't think was possible, walks nicely on leash, and has good manners with guests. We also did a board and train while we were on vacation, and she came back sharper than ever. What makes Gonzalo stand out is how much he gets dogs. He doesn't have a one-size-fits-all approach. He talks about different training methods and helps you figure out what works for your specific dog's temperament. The biggest thing we took away is how much mindset and thresholds matter. A lot of trainers we looked into were focused purely on obedience with treats (sit, down, stay) in low-distraction settings, with no real plan for when your dog is stressed or overstimulated.
