This was their one job, to take care of and watch the dogs. Absolutely horrible, I wasn't given any information about her other than she escaped and people saw her on ring cameras. We called to see what was happening and the person who answered didn't answer any questions and just kept giving obvious reasoning ( "I guess she hopped the fence" ), they did call animal control and the police immediately to get her found. Everyone tells us that she is very well trained and follows our commands. The training must be reinforced at home and we still work with her often to reinforce and strength the terrific foundation that Off Leash K9 provided. But we are very happy with the results and definitely will invest in this training with our next K9 family member.

Recently, I was watching a training session with Russ, the licensed owner of this facility train a…read moredog with a bite history. It was a small mixed breed dog. The dog bit (without breaking skin) the trainer and the trainer immediately picked the dog up by the leash and held it in the air for what seemed like a long time, but may have been close to ten seconds conservatively.  After the dog was put back on the ground and told to sit, it ran from the trainer to the owners. The trainer ran over to the dog grabbed it by the leash and it bit him again. He picked the dog up a second time and was suspended in the air for several seconds. The dog ran away a second time. After retrieving the dog, it was picked up by the leash a third time by the trainer and set on a large box. I believe it bit him again somewhere in the mix because he exclaimed that that was "the third fucking time it bit [him]." At this point I protested, by saying the trainers name -at the time I was so shocked I didn't have words yet. The trainer yelled and pointed at me from across the room to "Never fucking tell [him] what to do". I clarified that, in fact, I had not told him what to do and was hoping he would not continue to escalate the situation further. He went on "not to ever question" his methods. But I very much question this method. The situation was conceived out of trainer error and unchecked emotion, from the extending the dog in the air multiple times to chasing it and grabbing it from behind the owners to even screaming and cursing at me from across the room infront of clients (who, as far as I could tell, were too shocked to speak). As a current client of OLK9, I found this incredibly disturbing. I sent an email to the owners describing my concern for the animals in the trainers care to which I have not received a response in almost a month. Is this what OLK9 stands For? I'm concerned to bring my dog black to this location, but am due for another 2 lessons. The trainer I was working with quit following the incident and there are currently no other trainers at this location. We spent a lot of money on the Rock Star program. Further, I'm concerned for the safety of the animals in this trainers care, if he is willing to display such irrational and ruthless disregard for dogs infront of their owners, how does he treat them when they are not around to prevent the abuse?

I waited a long time to write this review... Jonathan had our dog maybe 6 months ago and he's now a…read moreyear old. I wanted to not just write a simple review but to really be honest and sincere because we researched for months to find the right place to train our pup. Our dog is a German Shepherd - Great Pyrenees mix and while he was doing well at wanting to please, he was super stubborn, guarded our home and WOULD not come back for any recall. Now, now, he's the most well behaved and amazing dog, he comes back 100% of the time with just the word "here" and he can jump up where I tell him, he barks once at passers by, but knows that's all. He can do off leash like a pro, today I took him to the trails and he stayed right beside me off leash the entire time I asked. Right now he's sitting in his "place" as he does whenever someone comes to the door. These are all things I tried training him before we sent him to Jonathan that did not work or stick no matter how hard I tried. Right now, I can open the front door, invite him out, and he will stay with me, if he does walk away, he'll come right back when asked. All of this would not be possible without Jonathan. There are some caveats I would say though. If you read the reviews you'll see Jonathan isn't the greatest communicator, and I won't disagree, he's really a dog person, not a people person, but for the care of my dog I want a dog person; if he was great with me but awful with my dog I'd be pissed. His services are expensive. And it will take longer than expected, so expect to bring the dog food and meds and maybe buy him a bed for being at Jonathan's, but it's very much a trust the process, he tells you up front, but he won't bring the dog home till the dog is ready. The other reason I waited for the review is so I could review the extended care and warranty. Upon his return I was unhappy with my dogs progress and I called Jonathan and he came back to me for another whole session to help. Not surprisingly, I was not doing it right... and the true value of his work is what you put into it after, we have been texting and videos and emails with him for the last six months and he's been able to guide us and has invited us to come back for more sessions to fine tune our concerns. If you just give him the dog and then don't expect to train after, you'll loose, because that's just not real, but if you use the essential and reinforce them you'll have a dog you love to be with every day. He mostly gave us the language to talk to our dog, and now we can work with him with ease. I would suggest if you want to invest in your dog, your life, your friendship and relationship with the dog, invest in Jonathan.

It became very clear that this sweet girl had no training (even her foster mom had JUST potty trained her). Knowing that we had a headstrong, older dog, I didn't think the regular PetSmart/Petco standard training would work. Someone from the rescue recommended Nildan at Z&E and holy cow, she gets dogs! She focuses more on positivity training and getting the dog to do things on their own by playing to their instincts. Even after the first class, our girl was picking things up quickly! For $120, we got 5 weeks of classes (plus a week for orientation- 6 weeks total). For this price, Nildan is the best kept secret in dog training. I met with the training person. She was pleasant, answered all my questions, and was very inviting. I didn't go with training here yet because I am investigating out my options. After the call I noticed a-lot of the materials about the training were outdated. The training videos sent where of old packages, and the descriptions were a little confusing. I This companies site makes you believe anyone can join, but in order to go here you have to enroll in the training programs which cost 800-3000 dollars. This is not told to you when you inquire or set up an online assessment. I would have rather known prior to the assessment, so could weigh my options. I understand COVID causes hard times, but it is really misleading to think your dog can attend here, but only under conditions of their training. This place looks very nice and accommodating to everyone, so this is not a comment about the service or staff. They have all been pleasant. I just think it needs to be advertised before hand to save owners time and hopes of getting in. I am still looking at options for training and boarding. We seriously thought about putting him on some meds like Xanax because we were running out of options. Vivi's talent for training using the Clicker Method curbed our dog's fear aggression. She made an in-depth analysis of our dog's breed and behavior, and with this knowledge, developed a training procedure and timetable for us to follow. She guided us and our dog every step of the way. It worked! We have a solid base of procedures which we continue to use, and our dog responds to. Vivi is dedicated to her work.
