We met Gloria for a personal dog training session for my very hyper 3 year old Boston Terrier. Our session was great, and many of the training tools have worked out well and we have seen results with consistency. He is a very excited jumper and barker. After meeting with her we decided to try her adventure group three times a week. She picks up and drops off which is so nice! We have seen great improvement with his behavior after going to the dog park and running when we aren't able to do that for him. Given the last few weeks circumstances with dog park closures and social distancing we are very happy to say that Gloria found a way to pick up and drop off with no contact so we could keep our dog active. It's pet curbside pickup! She is taking long walks with smaller groups of dogs together, rain or shine. It is very apparent that Gloria loves what she does and loves the dogs she works with. So unfortunately my review is not-quite second hand, but my mother is not a yelper so I'm stepping up to the plate. Gloria has been a major asset for my mother for years with her extremely high energy husky mix Siegfried. Three times a week Gloria comes and gets him, and three times a week he is the happiest ball of fur you've ever seen. When my mother had her knee replaced the lucky boy went every day! It's always fun to get pictures and to read her notes too, it helps keep the owner assured that their beloved pets are actually getting the time and care they deserve. Not only is Gloria great with the dogs, but I really respect her honesty. Dog parks are not always incident free, anyone who frequents them can attest, and rather than a 'what happens at the dog park stays at the dog park' approach, she's on the phone and keeping the owners in the loop. All in all, Gloria would be my go to person for any dog care needs if I ever found myself needing it, and that is saying something as my dog as a service dog is literally my world. I came upon Gloria following a very unfortunate event at our dog's daycare where he had gone for nearly two years. My husband and I were very distraught and unsure of what to think or how to proceed. I was looking for someone that could help us evaluate the situation and help us figure out what to do next. Gloria did some in-home training for us and then also took our dog Sebastian (a 2-year-old Bernese Mountain dog) out on her excursions with her pack. Our dog loved being at an off-leash dog park rather than in an indoor daycare and we saw a huge difference in his energy level (he became much calmer!). Although our dog didn't turn out to be a pack dog (he likes to run around and explore) Gloria's evaluation of Sebastian with her trained eye was very important to us - her confidence in him has helped give us confidence in him, which was especially important for us after the unfortunate incident that we had. Gloria is working to help us find the right place for Sebastian for daycare and boarding based on her evaluation of him and using her network of dog professionals. From the beginning, Gloria was very professional and we trusted her with Sebastian and we trusted her professional opinion. She communicates very well and let us know how Sebastian was doing frequently during the time she was taking him out on her pack adventures. We've been through a number of classes with Sebastian, but Gloria was the easiest to work with and the best teacher - great with people AND dogs which is not always the case! I've known Gloria a few years, even long before I had a puppy. When sweet Cash came into our lives, I was told he was loud, small and lacked confidence. As he grew up, that lack of confidence even with early training started to become more problematic behavior- lunging toward people, getting really nervous with new people and forget it at my house, cujo! He's the sweetest snuggly bud but other people freak him out. I knew I needed to do something before things worsened. I decided to do excursions with Gloria knowing she had such a great reputation and was apprehensive about the cost and commitment as 1/2 day day Care was a slight bit cheaper. What I wasn't getting at camp was consistency, feedback or even tips on what was happening behind closed doors. Cash has become sooooo much less reactive and so comfortable with people I can't speak highly about Gloria's excursions, care and the PICTURES- holy cow she's amazing at documenting what the little babes are up to. We have since done some one on one training, which helped me tremendously and Cash has even done boarding with her, apparently he's human-like for overnights. I wouldn't choose another person to care for my dog now. He loves his pack, his girlfriend, all the extra exercise and the consistency. I think her rates could actually be higher for the personalized care she provides and if I could send him 7 days a week I would! Can't recommend her enough. Gloria has been taking great care of my doggers for years now. I trust few others as much as I trust her. Her park trips generally only consist of a handful of dogs (making me feel assured that they won't get lost in the mix) - she picks them up mid-morning and returns them early afternoon. I am forever grateful to Gloria, and so happy I had the courage to seek help for a very funny dog named Marci. I adopted an extremely energetic, 6 month old Westie from my 84 year old mother who had purchased her on-line. It was clear Marci needed to learn some basic skills, but I was hesitant to take her to obedience training because she had a problem with other dogs.
