His family takes in abandoned dogs and he's even helped care for cats that live on the property. I would absolutely trust him with my dog. Most of the people working at Four Paws are the artsy/socially awkward type who connect naturally with animals. They want your dogs to be safe and happy not because it's their job, but because they really care. They are good people and you can absolutely trust them with your dogs. The building itself is old but clean. The dogs are divided into groups for free play, rotating every hour so each group gets time in each space. They love it! Highly recommend!!

When we both have to be away from home for an extended work day, we are put at ease with the folks at pet castle. Puppy comes home super tired (even at their 1/2 day rate). He loves seeing all the staff. (Bruce is his favorite I think) Price is right on par for the services Stacey and Bruce provide. Facility is nice and clean (overnight bunks and play areas), reception area is huge for the excited pups. Our dog always comes out clean, excited and happy. Owners are very accommodating for the last minute play dates (website doesn't say you have to call but I like to). As a final note, its nice to see the pictures they put up of the cats and dogs playing all day, making it clear that all the pets have fun and are freely playing.

His quarters were about 5 by 7 feet of cage free bliss with a Kuranda bed that sounds like something a monk would use to meditate on the meaning of life. We signed him up for group play, and the staff cheerfully let him run with the pack all day. They feed Blue Buffalo here, which Bear already eats at home, so his digestive system remained calm and civilized. The people who work here are happy and polite in that rare way that tells you they love what they do. My wife called twice to check on Bear, which required identifying him by last name because there were four Bears in the building, and they treated her questions like the most natural thing in the world. They even reported that Bear had made new friends. The morning we picked him up, he was washed, dried, and looking smug. It is not cheap. It is not outrageous either. It is simply worth paying to know that your dog is cared for by people who get it. The only small note is that the building is not staffed overnight, but that is more a fact than a flaw. If you need to leave your dog somewhere and want to feel entirely at peace, K9 Resorts Hamilton is a good choice.

Based upon the booking screening, it was clear that the company is professional, well-run, and focused. They provide transportation for your pet to and from their boarding stay and even provide daily pictures of your pet via text. We were very happy with the arrangements until, in the middle of our vacation, we were told that our dog had an episode of weakness and was rushed to our vet whose information we provided at booking. Andrew stayed with our pet and transported him to the overnight Emergency vet for observation. Everything turned out fine and Andrew picked up our pet to finish his stay. Andrew went out of his way and not only did everything for our pet that we could have done, but he also kept us informed and comforted. The integrity, compassion, and dedication that PetsAreInn demonstrated during our time of deep concern helped us greatly and made us happy we chose a stay with a family in their home versus in a traditional pet kennel. My dogs love him (which is saying a lot because my chihuahua mix doesn't really like anybody) and get so excited when they see him. He has taken them while I was on vaca and I never had to worry because I knew that they were in good hands.
