It's entirely customized to her each time, taking all of our requests and concerns into consideration. In fact, we have been taking all three of our dogs to Jenny for many years and have been satisfied every time. How great it is not to have to rely on a chain and to know there's a high-quality, reasonably priced groomer around the corner. I held off on writing this review because I tried to resolve this privately and amicably, but unfortunately I feel other pet owners should know about my experience with Doggy Styles by Jenny. We have been customers for years and had some minor grooming incidents in the past(2 cuts), which I overlooked because my dog is elderly. Unfortunately, this most recent experience was much more serious. Two days after grooming, I discovered a cut and missing fur under my dog's armpit. Later that week, after removing the bandana placed around her neck after grooming, I discovered another cut there as well. I contacted the owner, Jennifer, who reviewed the salon footage and said she didn't see my dog react to the cuts which is possible with some dogs, she felt very sorry and apologetic for the incident. She initially offered to cover my veterinary bill, which I appreciated. My dog ultimately required treatment costing $330 and had to wear a cone for over three weeks because the wounds were not healing properly. After I submitted the vet bill, Jennifer later said she was not responsible and offered $156 as a gesture of care. She then did not follow through with that offer either. I was also told she had spoken with my veterinarian, which I confirmed was not true. I understand that a veterinarian cannot definitively determine exactly what caused a wound after the fact. However, the vet specifically noted that irritation from grooming clippers was a possibility consistent with the timeline, which was noted in her doctor notes. At this point, this is not about the money. It is about accountability and how the situation was handled. After years of being a customer, I am extremely disappointed and heartbroken that my elderly dog was injured and that the business ultimately chose not to take responsibility. I am a fan, my Kona girl is a happy puppy and we will be back!!! Doggie Styles grooming and services was highly recommended to me, I usually bath Kona in our tub, but I can't lift her right now, so I made an appointment and brought her in. She was bathed and groomed and done in no time, the girls were so good with her, she is older and a love bug, they talked sweetly to her and she was fine, even got a cute pink bow to match her bedazzled collar. Because I spoil my puppers, I couldn't help it, and I bought a variety of snacks and baked goods they have on display- I seriously couldn't decide LOL, so I even included two huge pig ears for her. Worst place to bring your dog! My husband spoke at length with Jenny regarding our new puppy, and the first time we brought her it was fine.They barely did much to her, as it was her first time.Yesterday was our second appointment and again my husband spoke at length with Kristi, and had asked to shave our puppy down as this is crucial to her coat growth. When I picked her up, it looked like nothing much was done to her. I assumed it was another puppy cut and did not know my husband specifically requested for her to be shaved until I got home. Jenny refuses to give us our money back and takes no responsibility for this. She claims that it is theft to dispute a service charge and if I dispute the charge, she will send the police to my house. What a real professional and mature way to handle the situation. We requested our money back because we need to go somewhere else and get our dog fixed. They charged me $110 and barely did anything to her and what was done to her is a complete mess. I don't trust them touching any of my dogs again, as I have 2 other dogs that I have been bringing there for years. You would think Jenny would have handled this much better, as I have been a loyal customer for 5 years now. In addition, I did question the absurd $110 charge and I was told it was because she got full service. It is quite comical how Jenny also claims that many customers don't show up for their appointments, as she complained to me how she needs to charge for that. So she charges for services not rendered in many ways.I will never be going back. Shame on you Jenny! This is not a way to do business. In regards to your reply Jenny, You are a liar! Your Groomer did not speak to us during the appt and she did not what we asked. You did not shave her down and you did not do $110 worth of services. How dare you charge that much for a puppy that you did nothing to! And you did threaten me with the police and told me that they will show up at my house. If anybody is reading this go find yourself another groomer. There are plenty of others. read more

Jenna did an incredible job with my pup Daisy. Daisy's had some skin and paw issues with seasonal allergies and Jenna took the time to listen to our concerns and even used a special shampoo on her that our vet prescribed to make sure her coat was well taken care of. Daisy came back looking amazing and her coat is silky smooth! The rest of the staff was so friendly and I could see how careful and loving they were with each pup that came in. It was so sweet to see the little group of dogs playing with each other as they waited to be picked up. The owner Jenny was such a sweetheart and I was happy to give her my compliments on what a gorgeous salon she has. My parents had used this place when it was a smaller operation and were happy with the work. Sadly, as they've grown their service has declined. My parents dropped off their dog for an appointment at noon and after more than 3 hours my dad went to get her and they had not even started on her... when he asked how much time they needed they just said "4 hours". Clearly the actual grooming does not take four hours. Why have a poor dog waiting (many, as her, are anxious and let's face it, the groomer isn't their fave spot), for this long versus giving a specific window of time so the poor dogs don't have to wait? Have been going to this groomer for 6 months-brought my dog in today and when I went to pay the price was 40% higher than I have been paying. Who does that to a customer? 40% increase and they blamed it on Shampoo??? I just bought them a bottle of it for two pumps on my dog. Absolutely fabulous!!! I just moved here from Los Angeles and I took my parents very scared, anxiety ridden 10 year old Golden Doodle here. Chloe is of course part of our family. She is 10 years old and still afraid of her own shadow. She is actually scared of me ! LOL. I had to drag her with my sister who she loves into the back floor of my BMW. We left her and explained exactly how our beautiful old girl is. We placed her behind a half wall. She sat there like a lady and I stroked her head but as we left she jumped up with her 2 paws and she looked at us. I thought Jenny and her crew were going to have a hard time, the usual that we are used to taking Chloe to pet smart and the vet. She has hated that and rebelled for years...... well to my surprise, Jenny and her staff made our Chloe feel so relaxed that they even told me she was a pleasure to my shock! When my father picked he up she looked fabulous!! I paid the bill over the phone cause I I know she loves peanut butter so I added a big box of treats to the bill. They have the most amazing dog treat bakery I've ever scene. Better then Beverly Hills or NYC. Not only did Chloe look amazing, but she came home with no trauma , relaxed and happy. Have been coming to this groomer since they were at their original shop on Drum Point. Love the way they groom my dog. However, I don't love how long they keep my "nervous" dog for her grooming appointment. I feel they overbook the dogs and keep them for an unacceptable amount of time before they even start on their appointment. Sometimes three hours, four hours and even five hours. Not right. Never was it this way in their original location. I've been talking to other people who go to different groomers to get a sense of how long their dogs are kept at the groomer. This place is horrible. They cut my dog's skin with the clippers not once, but twice. The first time I saw clipper marks on his belly and thought maybe he moved when they were working on him. In other words I gave them the benefit of the doubt. the second time (I don't know why I brought my dog back, but I did) they actually nicked his penis when cleaning his sanitary area. My dog was in physicals pain. Both times they kept my dog for over 3 hours. They told me it was because they give each dog special attention. Three hours? my current groomer doesn't even keep him for an hour and he come out better then this place ever groomed him. This place is Bad. I always have thought this place was cute and from what I have seen they do get a lot of business and have done good work as far as grooming.Nut I have to say as for the nail clipping on dogs not so much.I brought my dog into get her nails trimmed and they took a little while and came out I looked fat her nails and they didnt even looked like they were clipped and or touched.They still charged me full price after saying my dog seem to be stressed so they couldn't do it like they could.It was that i was charge for just a simple nail file that wasn't even noticeable.It almost looked like when i brought in nothing was done. read more
