Sarah and Tony cared for Buddy for the last several years of his life, not only as a regular dog walking client but also during overnight stays when our travel plans were a bit much for a little old man. We always knew he was loved, having a good time and well cared for. We were lucky to have five wonderful years with Buddy, and this team helped make those years even better. Their care, kindness, and genuine love for dogs showed in everything they did, right up to the very end. We are incredibly grateful they were part of our lives and part of Buddy's. This place was the perfect solution. The bathing stations are clean and well-maintained, and the staff are incredibly helpful. They walked us through how the bathing station worked and made sure we had everything we needed, including shampoo + conditioner, towels, aprons, scrubber, and ear-cleaning wipe. We really appreciated the portable staircase, which made it so much easier for a larger dog like Olaf to get into the tub. They gave us a small amount of treats to encourage Olaf to hop in, which definitely helped! This was only our second time bathing him ourselves, and the setup made the entire experience easy. They also have a separate drying room, and Olaf did well there too. We were also impressed by the huge selection of treats and chews. Olaf absolutely loved his spiral bully stick and is happily working on a bull pizzle. We had such a great experience and would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a clean, well-equipped self-service dog wash with an amazing selection of treats. We'll definitely be back!

I came here with my current very ragged, extra stinky foster dog. She's a small terrier mix who spent at least a year on the streets. She is a combination of terrier bravado and extreme love me cuteness, but she doesn't know some of the basics of being a companion dog. So the bath plan was very new to her. Everything was set up for me - towels, wash cloth, massaging brush, apron. There are shampoo choices that you can smell before testing which is very important to people with allergies. Because the dog is healing from a major flea infestation, we chose the calming oatmeal shampoo. We were also given a blueberry shampoo for her face and conditioner. Everything is mixed in squeeze bottles for easy application. They also gave us a bowl of treats to keep her happy during her bath. They explained how everything worked and made sure to get the water to a good temperature before we started. The shampoo was excellent quality as was the conditioner. They checked on me to make sure things worked well. When we moved to the drying area, the table had been raised to make things easier. I also want to mention how clean everything is. We were there later in the day. You would think they had just opened given that everything was sparkling. I'm sure other dogs had been there that day, but you couldn't tell. We left happy. The dog looked wonderful and bounced out of there as happy as could be.

I did a fair amount of research via Yelp, but found Good Dog via Instagram. We met Erik and Teal for "testing" at their facilitating near the Alemany Market, and phew!, Oban passed. The facility is spacious, clean, and has an indoor and outdoor area. We started Oban with 3 days a week playcare. He is picked up between 10-11am and home between 4-5pm. He is exhausted by the time he gets home and we don't experience the witching hour that we do when he is home all day. Unlike off-leash plays at the beach, we are not concerned that Oban will bring home lbs of sand or worse off run away. You can tell that Teal, Erik, and Yvonne all love dogs and they take great care of all of the pups. Sometimes, our Oban sits and stares at the door waiting for one of them to come through and take him away to his happy place. We don't know whether to have hurt feelings, or feel joy because he is so happy to go there. When we were finally able to travel (COVID and all) we boarded Oban with Teal and Erik. They sent us daily pictures and updates about his well-being, and what he was doing. These people just plain love dogs and treat them well.

I feel like she's protective of her dogs and looks out for them, something we really appreciate as we take H to various SF parks a lot and seen dog walkers/owners that are not as attentive and the consequences, dog scuffles/ears bitten, not good. Before Patti agreed to take H on, I think we went through a trial period to make sure he was compatible with her other dogs. We found that really reassuring as we didn't want H with dogs that didn't get along with him and risks for doggy scuffles. Patti is also very flexible and responsible with schedules. I can send her e-mails/voicemails and she always gets back to me. She comes when she's supposed to and when there's any uncertainty regarding our schedule she confirms.
