Dr Rachael clearly loves her work and her patients. She's gentle and compassionate and thorough, and is well versed both in traditional veterinary medicine and in alternative modalities. My cat has a seizure disorder, and she of course prescribed pharmaceutical solutions, but also offers acupuncture that clearly keeps him feeling calm and settled. She will offer new services that she thinks will help with his various aches and pains, and she and her staff are always happy to show up and help out, even on short notice. read more

My very difficult to handle cat got sick and stopped eating. I have tried getting him in a carrier several times with no luck so a house call vet was the way to go. I was able to get an appointment right away with Dr. Feigenbaum and she doctor arrived at my house with everything needed to examine and weigh him, give fluids and medication and take blood and urine samples. After a long battle with liver cancer, my pup began experiencing seizures from organ failure and frantically I called Lotus Veterinary and left a voice message (around 9:30am when they're open) and I followed up with an email, again explaining the situation, and requesting an immediate call back. My dear A.J. passed to the rainbow bridge after 20 years and 8 months on this Earth on 12/17/2022. Thanks to the love and care from Rachael and her team and me everyday of his life he had a wonderful and full life. He was such a healthy and happy boy, running around like he was a kitten all the way up to the end when he started to slow down. I knew something was not right with certain small signs. He was still eating a lot, and playing but sleeping more. I noticed a slight wobble in his hind legs, more difficulty laying down probably with a bit of arthritis in his front legs. And then one visit recently Rachael felt a thickening in his intestine. We had a home ultrasound done and it confirmed cancer. I was crushed. I thought we had longer together but no one lasts forever. A.J. was and still is my best friend in the entire world and I feel a large hole in my heart and my home without him but I know he knew it was time. He gave me signs and I just knew. Thank you Rachael for coming over and helping me get him and myself through this difficult time. He loved you a lot and I love you too for all that you did for both of us. I am eternally thankful for you being a large part of our lives. He is still here in spirit. I feel him a lot and he has come to visit at night which I am extremely grateful for! read more

I have a Belgian Malinois who is extremely reactive. His vaccines were 4 months over due and it was beyond stressful for me trying to figure out how to get it taken care of. I had the most amazing experience with Lotus. After almost 16 amazing years, it was time for my darling beagle Parker to move on. Dr. Dasho (Seth) did an in-home visit, and I was terrified and anxious and an absolute mess. He and his assistant were the epitome of calm, professional, empathetic and soothing. Dr. Dasho was so careful to explain how things would work in such detail, and to make my options so clear, that it took all of the anxiety out of the situation. I was able to make decisions with a clear head and say goodbye to the little furry love of my life in the most gentle, peaceful way. I was a wreck, don't get me wrong. It was HARD. But the good people at Lotus did everything they could to make the event the "least bad" it could be, and it made a huge different in those precious last moments I had with my little guy. Also, the pre-work they did with me (via Debra, who was really super and such a pleasure to work with) as well as the follow up (which, as a courtesy to give me space to mourn, they waited a week to do) were top notch. I cannot recommend these folks enough. If they were this amazing carefully guiding me through these final days for my little love, I can just imagine how amazing they are as every-day in-home vets. My Charley is 11 years young but has been starting to have issues with arthritis and join problems. Charley is a boxer and most know 12-13 is about the max time here on this earth. My primary vet recommended I look into cold laser therapy. After doing research and talking to everyone in my pet world I reached out to Lotus. The office staff was able to answer all my questions and I had a lot of them. I scheduled a home visit with Dr. Rachel the next week. Charley gets really nervous at vets and having this service that comes to the house is absolutely incredible. Dr. Rachel is not only an amazing vet but such an incredible person with such compassion for what she does. Not only was there cold laser therapy but she also recommended these two injections. Adequate and Liberal which is a fairly new medication. Charley is back to her old self, running, jumping and digging through the toy bin again. I absolutely love Dr. Rachel and would recommend her to anyone needing her services. I am forever grateful that my baby is doing so well. read more

One of my beloved dogs was diagnosed with aggressive nasal adenocarcinoma which was treated with stereotactic radiation (wouldn't again make the decision to do that) and he had nasty side effects that affected his appetite, ability to eat and drink independently, his overall comfort. Yet he still had a twinkle in his eyes and a desire for silly play so we went on with care, primarily focused on comfort care, trying to maximize his quality of life. Dr. Rachael (and on a couple of occasions, Dr Seth) came for home visits to ease any discomfort and, hopefully, ward off cancer progression. My boy, Bailey, so obviously enjoyed the visits, sprawled out in the loving arms of the wonderful assistants (usually Jacquelyn, sometimes Susan). All concerned were brilliant, compassionate and kind. read more

My almost 15-year-old chihuahua mix SweetPea was in failing health for about a few weeks and she took quite a downward turn about three weeks ago - no interest in eating and difficulty moving with her back legs going out from beneath her. I was SO grateful that I had Lotus Vet's card from several years ago - never thinking I would need it. My initial appointment for compassionate euthanasia was for Friday 4/14. Unfortunately, SweetPea went downhill very quickly, and I was SO grateful to Debra who was able to reschedule our appointment to Wednesday 4/12 (thanks to whoever was willing to change their appointment). Dr. Feigenbaum and her assistant were right on time and were so kind and understanding of my situation. Their greatest concern was for the comfort of SweetPea while completely understanding how difficult this was for me. They did not rush me in saying goodbye for which I am so grateful allowing me the time I needed to say goodbye to my fur baby. I could not recommend Lotus enough and if/when I get another dog Lotus will be my 'go to' vet. read more

Amazing!!!!! My cat was slowing down and I didn't have the heart to just drop her off at her vet and have her be stressed. These people are wonderful! They saw Chelsea the next day and were kind and gentle with her. They did lab work and gave her fluids and the whole exam took about 30 minutes. I don't think I will ever go back to an office vet. Dr Seth Dasho drove to our home with his assistant Shanti. They were right on time and got down on their knees to greet my 2 dogs. Dr. Dasho was professional , knowledgeable and detailed. He is trying to help one of my dogs with a dermatological issue. Very challenging. He spent and hour and 15 mins with us. I have a list of things to try so hopefully I will have success. I don't usually take time to write reviews, bad ones at least. I figure everybody has a bad day. But I had to get on and write the most spectacular review for Lotus. My dog Frank had been declining lately from an unfortunately incurable cancer. We focused on making sure he had his best life the last few weeks but on Monday last week I knew that the end was getting very close. I had researched companies and decided on Lotus a while back. I had a great initial phone call with their staff that was informational and made me feel very reassured about a plan. I called on Monday and set up an in-home compassionate euthanasia on Wednesday last week. However I very quickly realized that Frank was not going to comfortably get to Wednesday. I called back at 11 AM and they were able to fit me in for their last appointment of the day at 4:30 PM. Dr. Jenny came to our apartment, and Frank who had been mostly sleeping woke up wagged his tail acknowledging her and I think saying to himself "thankfully an objective adult has arrived." We laid with Frank on the floor while he continued to nap and when we were ready Dr. Jenny administered his medication's. Frank hates the vet so being able to be at home was everything. He barely flinched from the injections and he very stress-free and comfortably passed away with us at his side. I've unfortunately lost a lot of dogs over my lifetime and every time I've taken them to the vet for euthanasia. I would strongly recommend considering doing it at home for your pet as it is comfortable and stress-free for them. Even more strongly I would encourage you to use Lotus. They were absolutely amazing from my initial contact up to and including today when I received an amazing card from Dr. Jenny expressing her condolences. It's those little things that matter. I cannot say enough positive things about Lotus! Everyone I've had the pleasure of interacting with there has been amazing. There is nothing worse than emailing or calling and leaving a message and wondering if you will get a response. That has NEVER been an issue with Lotus! Dr. Dasho, Shanti, and Debra are all absolutely wonderful. We originally had Dr. Dasho see our senior dog, Maddox, who is 13yo with lung cancer. After several years seeing his oncologist, and a year after he had a lung mass removed, we had to resign ourselves to the fact that his body could not tolerate any type of chemo meds. When I started researching more natural treatments, and figuring out what our next steps should be, I reached out to Lotus, and my husband and I haven't regretted it for a second! Just yesterday, we decided to switch to Lotus from our normal vet for our sweet kitty, Mission. We made an appointment with Dr. Dasho to see her and treat her for tapeworms, and as usual, he shared his knowledge and calm demeanor to put us (and Mission) at ease. I've emailed Dr. Dasho several times to ask questions or advice and he has always responded quite quickly, usually within a day. Debra, who does all of the scheduling and coordination, even called me on a Sunday evening to schedule an appointment for Monday.
