Most of his nails are clear and his quicks aren't that long so I'm not sure why there was such a difference between the results, but we went back to Kissable Paws two days ago and his nails are back to their normal length now. The reviews of Brenda and It's raining pets in general were outstanding and we decided to take the plunge into doggy day care with our two Corgi's. She asked all of the basic questions one would expect and even mentioned Bordetella shots needed to be up to date (something we never get because we never have our dogs in day care or dog parks but we got them the shots 50 days prior just to be prepared for such an emergency and it takes 30 days to really bolster their system pet our vet) The drop off and pick up was easy, the Corgis always seemed to be freely roaming around with the other pups and everyone was getting along well. there isn't enough good we can say about the generosity and hospitality of Brenda in particular but all of Salem in general. a full week of time and nothing but positivity from all!! For the first time in my dog's lives & mine I decided to let someone else groom them due to my busy schedule. After meeting and talking with Tara I was quickly convinced that she knew her stuff. She is second generation owner of this shop and has been grooming longer than me. I described what I wanted and how I style the dogs. Her skills are spectacular. She's gentle and loving. My dogs run to see her, jump into her arms and cuddle when they see her. She always accommodates my schedule and always does an impeccable job. We've been with her over 2 years. The only issue I have, not in their control, is the traffic going and coming to Tremont st in Peabody. Horribly congested area. Plan ahead.

She is extremely accommodating if you have an emergency need, as well. Just be upfront with the owner if you need your dog back by a certain time. She is a very nice person and truly enjoys what she does. Update 2017. I have switched groomers. After numerous years taking my dog here, the owner took an absolute nutty on me. The problem, she takes toooooo many dogs at once and tries to accommodate everyone. However, it's not right to keep a dog 7 plus hours and keep a customer waiting, and then yell at them when they come to pick up the dog at the time your told to and then get angry at you because your frustrated that the dog still isn't ready. I could never go back after being treated so badly. I was a loyal customer for 5 plus years. She was good to my dog, but her abuse towards me was unacceptable. She desperately needs some time off and to stop over bookings. It doesn't help anyone. Unfortunately the groomer is not being honest in their response to my comments. Again, there is no excuse for the owner to scream and yell at a longstanding customer because she overbooks and keeps dogs and their owners waiting 7+ hours. She works very hard, and loves the dogs, but this behavior is a result of her being burnt out. It was very uncalled for and disturbing.

My husband and I took our two basset hounds in at 2:30 pm on Wednesday, January 20 to do self washes. A worker there informed us, despite the fact we were the only customers in the store, that we could not put one dog in each of the store sinks, and that we could either wash both dogs in one sink together, or only one dog in a single sink at a time, but could not occupy two separate sinks with tow persons to wash the two dogs. I asked the worker "aren't we paying per dog"? Which of course they said we would be, but they refused to allow us to use both sinks because "it would mean the next customer who would come in would find both sinks in use use and would have to wait"! Now, I realize the person working isn't a rocket scientist, but considering how it would then take us twice as long to wash the dogs, I didn't see the negative impact one way or the other, especially since it was a feeling cold winter afternoon and the place was deserted at the time. We politely left and refused to use this store for that or any future business, and I would discourage you from using Wag N Wash in Beverly based on how rude they were to us when we were, in fact, the only customers in the store. We headed to the Natural Dog in Danvers, where their staff was very friendly and we used their self wash and the person working was very nice and we had a great experience! Wag N' Wash in Beverly was once a great place to go, and it was always busy at the self wash. I would never set foot in that place again now, and I would urge you to look elsewhere for self wash. find some more deserving business like the Natural Dog to spend your money.

Groomer claimed to have booked him under the wrong dog with the same name and seemed really overwhelmed and wasn't prepared for us. He's been groomed at other facilities and has been fine, they are just significantly farther away so was hoping we could resume here where he had been historically done, guess not. Offered to muzzle him (he has 8 weeks of professional muzzle training) and still refused.

I do admit she had mats. When I picked her up, the cost was $120 to shave her down, no shampooing. I didn't notice until I got her home and let her out of the carrier, The WORST HACK JOB, my poor cat! She was so uneven and irritated in some areas. Everyone noticed. I will never take my cat/s there again!I I read other negative reviews on Google after I posted my own, and the owner hasn't even had the decency to respond to any of them. That goes to show you the business owner does not care!
