I usually feel super awkward in front of the camera, but I was completely blown away by how incredible the photos turned out. Karen was very easy and reassuring to work with. She made the whole process feel so natural and effortless, and me confident in how I looked. Her direction made posing way less intimidating. She paid attention to every little detail, lighting, hair, makeup, even the room temperature, to make sure I was comfortable the entire time. She also had a great selection of props that really added to the shoot and allowed for a greater photo selection. I also brought a friend with me, which I saw several other boudoir photographers in OC do not allow. She assisted with hair adjustments, posing, and hyped me up the whole time, which made the experience that much better. During the photo viewing (a few days after the shoot), she went through each photo for a yes, maybe, or no, and took notes on how I would or would not like photos to be retouched. She was a very patient and detailed listener to my laundry-list of preferences. As a tip, don't forget to book well in advance of birthdays/holidays if you're doing this as a gift for your S/O. Upon contacting her, it was about a week/a few days for her soonest availability and then a few more days for editing, selecting, and a few more days to receive prints. I was in a huge rush and Karen was kind enough to rush every part of this process so I could have the photos in time for a vacation with my S/O. Overall, I could not speak more highly of Karen, her expertise, quality, and flexibility. I was very happy with my overall encounter with Tammy and her studio, I have done boudoir photos before and you never really know what you're going to get or how it's going to work out until the end of the whole experience. Before the actual shoot, when getting the appointment set up and everything, Tammy was very thorough and informative, I appreciated that so much! She was very helpful with answering my questions and giving me every bit of information I needed. There was also a questionnaire she sent to me to fill out so she could really get an idea of what I wanted from the shoot, this was too amazing and I really felt like she cared to make sure I got what I wanted. Her studio was very nice with several lovely furniture pieces for photos. There was a great changing area and a place to hang by outfits which was great. Tammy really does a fantastic job of thinking out the shoot and helping you pick the outfits/ accessories you brought to work with in case you aren't sure. She was also amazingly helpful with my unique photo ideas I wanted to bring to life. Boudoir photography is generally kind of pricey but I was pretty pleased with what I spent and what I got. I think her services are competitively priced and I didn't feel pressured by her as far as what I purchased, which really makes all the difference in the experience. Tammy's studio is really easy to find with quick freeway access. Unfortunately, my GPS went a little nuts, so it took me right past the studio and several minutes up the road from Tammy's. If you have a fickle GPS like mine, you may want to plan on giving yourself an extra few minutes beforehand to find the studio.
