This review is for the Intro to Swim Class. For 30 min, we all had SO much fun! Beagles aren't really known for liking the water too much, but mine is different-ish haha. Zack was completely awesome through and through. My dog and another were first-timers, so Zack walked us through all the ground rules and what to expect. I loved that he doesn't force the dogs to go in the water, but also doesn't just let them avoid it. He noticed my dog was just having fun running AROUND the pool, but wouldn't try and swim, just splash on the shallow part. So he would go and get him and baby-step him into the deep side. It was so refreshing to see! I love how considerate it is. The staff is also all so great and nice. The facility is impressive and well-thought out. I love it. I can't wait to bring my dog back and I'm sure he's looking forward to his next swim session! read more

We took our dog to try out the swim club and he loved it! The swimming pool was clean, there were plenty of toys, and the staff were so welcoming! They encouraged my dog to try the deep end and they helped him slowly gain more confidence in his swimming. I've been to both Bone Adventure locations and love the Bristol location for The Swim Club in their saltwater pool. The 2700 Bristol St location off Newport Blvd (55 & 73 freeways). Make sure your pet has their latest vaccinations (Bordetella & Ova/Parasite Test +Giardia ELISA Test every 6 months) & DHLPP/Rabies every 1-3yrs) complete before enrolling your pup into their Intro to Swim (required). The Intro to Swim was pretty cool. It was private session with one lifeguard in the water and one of their awesome staff members to assess your pup's swimming skills. They even have life vests of all sizes. Bone Adventure has a pretty large shallow "beach" area to get your pup acclimated. You can even put your feet in and play with your fur baby which I do. How I would love to swim with Finn one day if I'm allowed. Finn was timid at first, but get that squeaker ball and he's game for almost anything. He was in the deep end in no time. The cost is $30 for 30 minutes for the group swim and we definitely maximize that half hour as it is perfect play time. They've got different hours for different group of dogs - small dogs, large dogs and dock diving classes! I love taking Finn to the small group session so he's not overwhelmed by all the dogs during pool time. Like any playground, the doggies are just sooooo excited! It's cute to witness really. Many times, Finn gets passive if another dog fetches the ball he was swimming towards. All in all, Bone Adventure, their awesome staff and their salt water pool is awesome and highly recommended. read more

Our friend recommended The Bone Adventure after we had moved to the area and we are so glad she did! We bring both of our huskies here and they absolutely love it. The staff know their names and are very attentive. We also have them groomed here every quarter and they come back smelling great and looking so handsome. It's so nice to drop them off for boarding and know you'll pick them up fresh and clean. To speak to their attentiveness: Our oldest has had a foot injury/wound while we were away for over a week and they called to keep us updated, took such good care of him and even offered to take him to their own vet. We've been coming here for a little under a year now, and have been thoroughly impressed with our experience. The Bone Adventure is a well-oiled machine, with dozens of well-trained staff and expansive facilities, including a pool where we've taken Rogue for swim lessons. I'm able to watch him on camera during the day and have felt safe boarding him in a cageless environment overnight. We've received emails from the staff during the doggie influenza epidemic updating us on their policies and have received personalized phone calls for any concerns regarding Rogue. We love bringing our dog to the bone adventure to swim in the pool! You can join the public swim or if you have enough pup friends, you could even have a private pool party! An hour is usually enough to tire out our pup. He has a great time splashing around, jumping into the water, catching balls, and sometimes even leaping off the dock! The pool is nice and large and they limit it to ten dogs. If you join the public swim, you just need to call in advance to see if they have space. Be sure to be all updated on your dog's vaccinations! During public swim, they have dogs from their daycare that can come and swim for a little bit. I think it's really great that they have their team members there supervising all the dogs playing. In case anything happens, they know how to remedy the situation. They are always watching out and making sure the new pups know where to get into the water and where to get out. First couple of times they also provided us with a life jacket for our pup, so he can get used to swimming. They've got tons and tons of balls, frisbees, and toys for the dogs to chase after. After play time is over. They will help you rinse off your pup. There's also towels to get them dried off. Shoutout to Zac for taking especially good care of Keoni today! I took on the offer from The Bone Adventure management team and brought my dog back to the same swimming pool. The staff instucting this session, Kelsey and Angela, are hands down superb. The girls are incredibly attentive, encouraging, and heart-warming. They did a wonderful job pushing progress while ensuring we're taking baby steps so that the pup is comfortable and confident. Under the influence of their spectacular professionalism and amazing personalities, my pup happily jumped into the deep water for more than ten times, voluntarily! Not pushed in, but encouraged and braced-on. I am so delighted and grateful! Unlike the first session where I watched with doubt and uncertainty, this time I rest assured, fully convinced and trusting the girls' demonstrated abilities. I would still remark that the staff have varying levels of competency, and I would never dare leaving my pup for even half a day to the supervision of the previous two staff. There are very few things that I researched more carefully than where I would take my dog for daycare. I went to 4 different places to see if I could take a look. The only place willing to give me a tour was Bone Adventure. They don't like to disturb the dogs but took me through the kennel area, the food prep area, the grooming area and had a look at the swimming pool and the Littles Lawn. They were well organized and it was cleanly and smelled fine. I questioned the other three places I was interested in as they clearly said I would never be able to have a tour of the facility. What were they hiding? So, Bone Adventure it was and my dog and I have not looked back since. They are all so courteous of your time, get your dog checked in the morning and get your dog quickly at the end of the day. Since we go alot, they all know my girl and I love it when they yell at her name and are so happy to see her. They are clearly well staffed. They have a wading pool in the Backyard and also a large pool in the front for doggie swimmers for an extra charge. They recently increased their prices but I think they are overall competitive for what you get. My friends' laugh at me and say I take my dog to the dog spa and yes I do , because she is worth it. She loves her playmates and they supervise the dogs with great attention. My dog is exhausted at the end of the day and I don't worry about her when I am away. They also have cameras for you to voyeur in on your pup while you should be working. read more

First let me say that I was so nervous about leaving Mia at the Bone because of her issues. I gave it a try either way and I'm so glad I did. Took my husky in for his first grooming at this location, scheduled for a regular grooming , sanitary trim, paw pad trim, and deshedding treatment. At the end after nearly 3 hours my total was 95. Now while the total isn't the problem it's the lack of quality in the services I wanted. When picking him up he shook and hair plumed out. When getting into the car he had visible tufts coming out. Since I specifically asked for a deshedding it was fairly disappointing to see. The paws aren't the cleanest either as there's still some random longer strands but it looks significantly better than before. Sanitary trim is very uneven and isn't as short on the bum as I usually get him with. The nails don't seem that they were all trimmed, some at close to the quick some could have been trimmed down still. bath itself are great, he smells nice. Overall, I was recommended this location for grooming by family who also has a husky and I'm not sure if I'll be returning. read more

When we moved from Seattle, I knew I had to find a daycare where my 4 year old golden retriever (Calvin) could be outside to enjoy the sun and swim while I work. We purposely chose to live nearby the Bone Adventure so that he could live his best life. He begs to go play with his friends at Bone Adventure and his vet is happy that he's lost a few pounds after swimming and playing at daycare. There is ample parking, check in/out are smooth and easy, and staff are friendly. Prices are comparable to other daycares in the area, but actually feels like a better deal because you receive so many more amenities. When you drive up you notice that there aren't a ton of barking dogs. That's a great sign because that means they're all enjoying themselves or well taken care of by staff! read more

He never swam before but always wanted to jump in, so the intro class they taught him how to properly get out of the pool and the doggy life jacket was perfect for him since he really didn't know how to swim. His first swim class was free and it was with a small group his 2nd visit was $20 for 30 mins and I felt so bad making him get out of the pool because he had so much fun! They did mix in some of the boarded dogs with the swimming pups so it was a little chaotic at times. Parking is easy and the location is hidden behind trees from the street so our puppy like being farther from the street since that scares him. Absolutely love this place! I've been eyeing it for so long but never went due to financial constraints and other reasons. However, I just enrolled my two pups DD and Dutch and they are LOVING IT. The staff here are all so incredibly nice and patient; I'm sure I talked their ears off with all my first-time daycare pawrent anxieties, but they stayed so sweet and understanding! It's also evident they love all pups-- DD has separation anxiety but over the course of three days, he's really started to blossom and relax when inside. You can also tell because wherever the staff goes, the pups follow! It's hilarious. Swim Club was also an amazing addition. Their intro classes had someone in the pool with them, and they had these adorable little lifejackets on. The staff member plays with them, doesn't just stand there, and it's so fun to watch my boys splash around. Their pool's also sparkling clean and spacious, with a shallow shelf-side for the shorties and the nervous, and cute little fountains spraying up!! And my boys always come home nice and dry, and not sticky from any salt in the water. It does get a bit crowded sometimes, but it seems like there's always enough staff to keep track of them all. So far, even with all my creeper spying on the cams, I've never seen the atmosphere in the groups get tense or unmanageable! BA truly seems to have energy-management down to a science! Overall, can't recommend them enough. It's pricey, but I honestly think it's worth it and more when you see how much care they put into the place and into your pets. Just enrolled my other 2 puppies yesterday. I take all 3 dogs (Juno, Gracie and Luca) here for their play dates. This place is great because it's a great alternative to just having your dogs at home, or in my case at work. The facility helps them to socialize with other dogs and learn how to play nice. They give discounts if you have more than 1 dog. I like the daily report cards and the ability to see my puppies on camera. The staff are very nice and sweet to the dogs and their owners. I was looking forward to our first visit to bone adventure. We had made an appointment for all of my families doggies to go swimming many weeks prior (Four dogs total). All dogs were super excited when we got there! They saw other dogs in the pool and you could see how they too wanted to join the fun. However just as we were checking in we were told our appt was being cancelled. Aside from the disappointment the worst part was the staff didn't try to accommodate us in rescheduling even after we explained we had all taken time off work. Worst customer service ever! ---reply: Hi Diane Thank you for your reply. As you mentioned my appt was cancelled because one of the pups in the previous party pooped in the pool. I completely understand accidents happen and agree that it's important for our pups safety to sanitize the pool accordingly, but that was not the issue that day. The lack of empathy received from your staff and unwillingness to accommodate us later that day or even another day that worked best for us was one of the issues. Again thank you for keeping the safety of all pups a priority. They always do such a great job with my Labrador she comes back smelling amazing and super soft when she goes in for a full groom, she seems to love it when we arrive as well which is always a good sign. I bring my 1 year golden retriever Bentley here whenever I leave town, he loves coming here! Make sure your pup is fully vaccinated, even though Bentley IS he still manages to get some kind of "bug" when he stays here, it's usually a stomach/ diarrhea variety. He stayed at Christmas 2017 for 10 days & nights & now has diarrhea and some "goo" seeping from both eyes, so now on top of the boarding costs $$$ I now have Vet bills to take care of that . And my other dog (Lily) was boarded at The Bone Home their other facility and she's sick too, hopefully it's nothing serious and only temporary but I hate having spent over a thousand dollars on doggie daycare & now have to spend hundreds at the vet.
