We booked about a month in advance to board our high-energy coonhound mix here over the New Year holiday. Highly recommend this place to anyone! They had set aside a kennel for him, and we only had his crate, so we zipped over to buy a bed for him. Every day, the staff sent Pulitzer Prize-quality photos of our dog playing like crazy. We could tell that he was having a blast! What I especially liked was that he was still excited to see us when we came to pick him up. It told me that this place is super fun, but it's not a place that he confuses with home. I also liked that he had zero injuries, abrasions, no physical sign from all that play. Dogs at Dolphins View is one of the best places to take your dog on the island. I have been stuck working from home during the COVID-19 pandemic and my little Nacho has been dying to get out and just play with other dogs. I took him just for the day for doggie day camp and he had such a blast!! And Judy is so awesome with all of the picture updates of what your dog is doing and how they are interacting with the other dogs. We will definitely be back and not be using PetSmart anymore fo boarding or camp. read more

Judy and her team are awesome with the animals. My 2 rescue dogs are very afraid of people. Once the team understood that the dogs responded to women better, they assigned 2 woman to be primary for them. However, the guys were also great with them and by the end of the 3 days, the dogs had warmed up to all of them which is no easy feat with these 2! I appreciated all of the patience and attention that the team gave the dogs and I loved the pictures Judy sent every day. I could see the dogs had relaxed and there fore I was able to relax as well. My Romi (border collie mix) gets a bit of anxiety and becomes destructive when she's bored. On days where I know I'll be incredibly busy, I take her to daycare and I'm SO happy with how tired she comes home! I purchased the daycare package (10 visits for $250) and Romi has been having a blast. I know this because Judy and her staff are so wonderful about sending me picture updates of Romi with her friends! I appreciate that they let my dog-ter dig holes and play in mud (these are her absolute favorite things to do) and I never mind that she comes home dirty because it lets me know she's had a fun day! Every one knows her by name and Romi responds positively to all the staff which is always comforting. I highly recommend this facility for your pet's daycare needs. read more

Dude. From a crazy dog mom who's never used an out of town day-care (or even a drop-in care anywhere) I could not recommend Dogs at Dolphins View enough. Judy and crew obviously love the dogs as if they were their own, and they also clearly love their work. The facility was conveniently located to Seawall, Moody Gardens area etc. Very clean and well appointed. Supervised play, pictures sent with commentary. My girl was so happy to return on day 2, so I knew it was great! Very affordable as well. Most definitely would it work with them again on return. read more

DADV was simply amazing! We had to board our fur baby while on vacation which I hate doing because he never does well, but I had no choice this time. Judy sent me updates every day on how Chase was doing, and when I picked him up he was his usual happy self, no diarrhea for days like after coming from other kennels. The facility is very nice and clean. Chase didn't get an exit bath, but he wasn't dirty after being there for a week. If I ever go back to Galveston, and need to board Chase, I wouldn't even think twice on where to take him! read more

I took my dog there for a few days in the kennel while I went out of town. Upon arriving I was greeted by an employee named Tera I think. She was lovely and really made evertything very clear for me. I left knowing my dog would be taken care of. Upon returning I immediately understood that was quite the opposite. I walked inside to pick up my pup and I hear voices around the corner. It was a male voice talking to a woman. Upon further listening in I hear this male individual making comments about this woman's body. To me it initially seemed like no big deal until they both came around and noticed me standing there. Both were employees. One was the original woman I took my dog in to, Tera. The other was a man named Trevor. Upon noticing me the man immediately stopped his dialogue and gave me a fake and underwhelming smile. The woman employee seemed on edge and very distracted. I do believe I witnessed sexual harassment in a disgusting way. I do believe the owner of this business should do something immediately or I will undoubtedly not be taking my pup back to such a disgusting and toxic work environment. read more

I thought this place was great, and then as time went on things got crazier and crazier. I'm a chill dog mom, my dogs don't need anything fancy, just a clean place to sleep and a good place to play. I specifically requested a private room for one of my dogs who is an anxious sleeper. I was assured I had booked a private room (over a month in advance). This was confirmed on the day prior to checkin as well. Upon check in we were told no private room was available because they were overbooked. After much debate a private room was secured. I was willing to set this aside. Upon check out I gave them my credit card, signed the paper and left. Today, over a month after checking out, she decided to run my credit card through paypal under a company name of a medical sales supply company in Kansas. Not realizing this charge was for dog boarded that occurred over a month ago (it said medical sales after all), I reported the charge as fraud, spent 3 hours on the phone with the bank, and cancelled my card. I now have to waste more time notifying all of my suppliers of my new credit card number. When I spoke with the owner she stated she was too busy for the past month to handle her paperwork. If she's too busy to handle her paperwork, I question many other components of the organization of this business. To make things worse, her only consolation offer to help ease my frustrations after all of this lost time was to bathe my dogs for free-- my dogs with short hair that doesn't even need to be brushed, my dogs that take less than 5 minutes to bathe. My dogs certainly will not be back. read more

We drive 30 minutes from the other side of the island to bring our dog Marino to Judy. Marino is old and skittish--but she loves staying at Dolphins View with Judy and her pup Naki. Judy keeps us updated with photos and texts. We feel very comfortable leaving Marino with Judy and know that our dog is well cared for and having a great time. We have used Judy several times a year for a number of years now. read more

This place is first class doggy daycare. We used the location at the west end of Galveston Island. The owner made me feel very comfortable leaving my 2 dogs with her while my husband and I went to Moody Gardens for the day. She sent me several photos throughout the day letting me know that my two fur babies were having fun and doing fine. This place was clean and very well run. Well this place exceeded every expectation I had. We had never boarded our fur baby and we were out of the country for 10 days. I met Della and she gave me a tour of the place. While we were away, she sent daily updates and pics of her making new friends. When we picked her up, she was so excited and happy, but she cried when we got her home because she missed her buddies.
