So a bit of lack of foresight on my part led me to take my 3 year old Old English Sheepdog with me for a beach weekend and introduce him to the ocean! Thank GOODNESS my airB&b host had a quick answer to my question "ummm, do you know of a place I can bathe my dog?" Because 1. Tar and 2. He was like a sand sponge!!!!! These people were able to squeeze me in near the end of my brief trip and I got to go shopping while they bathed him and got the tar out of his fur! They also have self service but I opted to splurge. They were nice to me and to my dog and I was very satisfied! They even sent a text a month later just letting me know it had been a month and to see if I wanted to bring him in. Told them I wish I had my act together enough to have a regular monthly getaway to the beach, maybe someday! If I do I'll use the Salty Dog every time. read more

Walk in with sandy, wet, grumpy dog, pop him (her) into one of the walk-in bath tubs, scrub-a-dub and doggie comes out clean (and you likely come out wetter;) They had everything I needed to get my itty-bitty-pittie cleaned up, including towels and dryer (and apron for me.) Lots of dogs are there as well, so expect them to tell you and everyone else how they feel about life through barks, squeaks, and squeals. Today I took my pup to be groomed at Salty Dog Wash for the first time and they did an AMAZING job!!! My dog has very long hair (Shetland Sheepdog) and, shamefully, mom neglected brushing like she should have and he had pretty significant mats behind his ears and under his belly. The groomer looked him over and made her assessment to me in a friendly, non-judge mental way. When I picked him up, I wasn't surprised by the price because she had so accurately assessed what he needed. And the price, very reasonable! Especially for the great grooming job they did! I can hardly tell he had mats behind his ears at all! And if she had to use scissors, I can't tell. He looks about 10 pounds lighter as well. My Panda Bear looks beautiful again! Thank you. The best grooming that Pete, our Wire Fox Terrier, has had in his 5 years on the planet ! Hillary the groomer, is the only groomer that has been able to trim Pete's nails.
