I have been going to this groomer for over 35 years. Since the new owners took over about 4 years ago. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND. I strictly stayed loyal to the new owners for I have always supported a new local business owner. I have two large dogs. I routinely get them groomed once a month. A lab and a whippet. My lab is 12 years old and a little senile. Today i left crying. The way i was treated as a loyal customer had to be the owner for no employee would have let me leave that way. I was 12 minutes late and apologized for i struggled getting my 12 year old lab in the car. She told me that she was charging me a late fee of $10 for my account has been marked and noted for being late before. This was the first I had heard of this. No verbal warning. I explained to her that the 12 year old gave me a hard time getting in the car this morning. I am 62 years old and weigh about 125 pounds. She basically told me she had a business to run and was charging the late fee. My appointment was at 10 am. Well you can imagine what I did. I thanked the sweet girl Hannah who grooms my two dogs and walked out. No reason to be loyal or support this local business any more. I can get my dogs groomed monthly somewhere else. $190 for two dogs one who doesn't even need drying is over priced anyway. Obviously this new owner doesn't need my business. She basically gave me a big FU! I am out! Btw; it was SO hard getting my dog back into the car ! read more

My dog is a first time customer and she loves the way she looks and feels. How do I know? Because she told me the day after her groom when she asked, "Mama, please don't take me anywhere else, okay?" Okay, I said. She is an older dog who lost her hearing. Nicholas did an outstanding job with her, shaving her very thick double coat (like a Husky) which was matted.....now, she'll be ready for the summer heat. Because she is older, Nicholas called to tell me she'd be an extra hour from the pick-up time and I appreciated that very much. If you're looking for a place to groom your cats you need to go here! I struggled to find a good pet groomer for my cats because a lot of places don't do cats anymore. The staff here and the groomer himself, I think Nicholas, know how to handle cats super well. Nicholas is so nice and caring is your pet I've brought my cats here for about 4-5 visits and they always come home super clean and well taken care of and smelling good! They are fast and efficient. The lady at the front desk is nice. I've tried other places for my cats and they won't even touch them. I'm happy docs etc gave my cats a shot at grooming. By far thee worst customer service! My husband called to get our dog groomed. The lady that answered the phone said yes, sure bring her in. So I went and she said she told my husband 1pm!!! What? I called my husband furious for wasting my time. The lady never told my husband a time. Even the text had NO time! She saw I was frustrated and upset. I wasted my time driving down there and instead of making it work she shrugged her shoulders and said I told your husband 1pm. I left and went to another dog groomers down the street. I'd been going to this place for a long time now. I personally have someone who takes care of my malti poo and very happy about it. I would say they're very passionate and caring of what they do. But this weekend somehow was a bit different. There was this medium dog a brown cocker spaniel having a haircut on the table and was tied by the neck but somehow the groomer was not paying attention fully and the dog slid and and got hang by the neck ( suicide style) . I screamed and somehow the groomer lady was in shocked and didn't moved at all. Didn't even grab the dog or anything until the other staff lady helped. What surprising to me was they were giving excuses about what just occurred. No comforting or checking the dog or anything. Just casually continue cutting his/her hair. I really hope that this doesn't happen to my dog... Now it got me thinking twice now...I feel like this is negligence in their part.... No amount of excuse can justify this. Be careful because they won't tell you what goes on there...Just saying! To the owner.. I understand that dog can sometimes be hard and difficult...but pls if this is the case, try n have 2 people work on it so that we can avoid this whole accident situation... Not saying the dogs are left unattended but full attention should be there! Because to us this is our baby...I'm just trying to let you my point of view... read more

This place has no communication. I made an appointment with a groomer my dog has seen multiple times. The groomer was running late and they did not inform me of this when I dropped my dog off. I had to go back and pick up my dog because no one else could handle my German shepherd. The excuse they gave me was the groomer lives far and maybe she has a personal problem. We have used several dfferent grooming services for our standard poodles, Dogs Etc being the most recent. They have been done there 8-10 times, so I would say it may be likely that different people have cut them during that period. The pros: VERY good quality job, probably the best we have ever experinced. The cons: At times they are there for a VERY long time, 4-5 hours is not unusual. Perhaps they are over booking clients? They are also a bit pricey compared to what we have gotten elsewhere, but then again, the grooming quality is exceptional. I generally expect to pay for quality. read more

Paula at Dogs Etc. took my poor, matted kitty and turned him into a Cat Fancy centerfold. Not literally, but the difference in his appearance was night and day, and now he looks great! When I called, I was able to get him in the same day, and she was so patient (cats are not the easiest animals to bathe and groom). The staff is friendly and you can tell they love their clients. My Pomeranian and husky normally would be CRYING to get out of those groomers when I got there. However I had to drag my dog OUT of dogs ect... he loved it! He wanted to stay forever! I LOVE Dogs, Etc.!! They are so into Dogs! They are always so genuine and low key. They are there for dogs and keenly aware that they take care of dogs. I didn't know what to expect when I first went there and I met the owner who introduced us to Daisy. She was very nice and I felt that my dog was in good hands. When we picked her up, Daisy told me how sweet my dog was and how much she enjoyed her. I didn't expect her to appreciate my sweet dog as I guess I expected it would be more of a dog-in dog-out experience...boy was I wrong. Well we just went back yesterday, and Daisy was off, But Bonnie stepped in without missing a beat and we felt familiar before we left and moreso when we returned shortly after. I say shortly after cuz I was impressed with how quickly my dog was turned around back to me and beautiful! She is a very old dog so I am always yielding to her comfort these days. We have taken our dogs to nearly every groomer in the valley trying to find the right one. Several we ended up at the vet to get stitches or treat green "twisting type" leg fractures. All of that ended when we finally went to the other end of the valley to Dogs, etc. several years ago. Such a great place. Luis is fantastic especially with our, shall we say "sensitive", huge dog. She was abused as a pup but Luis is great with her. She has even grown to anticipate and enjoy going to "see Luis". I know they use the whole staff to bathe etc but I do give Luis lots of credit for helping her. They do take a long time. Just know that in advance. Adequate hydration is an issue but i know my furry idiots sit there and bark hello the whole time. And there have been times when the helpers have had to rebathe due to a poop accident, but honestly that's on my dogs as much as the groomer ( no pun intended) - my dogs are so excited to go see Luis they dont properly take care of business before we go. These folks do a good job at nail trimming and seasonal shavedowns. They have always charged us a reasonable price for the work. I have also admired some of the specialty cuts on some of the other dogs I have seen there. Over all they do a great job. And NO FOLLOWUP VET TRIPS ever! We really like the way they handle our fur babies for that fact alone. But the other stuff too hahaha. Recommended read more

They were able to fit Dixie in the week I called which was great, because I know they are very busy! A bath and brush was around $70 with tip for our 55 lb border collie mix.
