I rescued a one and a half year-old puppy - a German Shepherd mix from a local shelter. When I…read morebrought him home, he had major separation anxiety, and I was concerned about his behavior around other people . I contacted several certified dog trainers, and they all told me that there was no hope for this type of behavior- that's just the way the dog is. They wanted to medicate him. I found Wag Mates and spoke with Bianca and expressed my concerns and she said they could absolutely help me! Luke entered a six week board and train program and they assigned Carlos as Luke's trainer as he specializes in separation anxiety and aggressive animals- Carlos picked Luke up and he provided videos of Luke's training every step of the way-Luke finished his training and was returned to me this morning. Luke is a completely different dog. He is full of confidence & so obedient. I am so glad I chose Wag Mates and they chose Carlos to be Luke's trainer. He actually trained us both. He went above and beyond. I needed a crate for Luke and no way to pick it up-Carlos picked it up for me and installed cameras for me in my backyard. He addressed and handled every single concern I had! I highly recommend Wag Mates!

I paid $2,500 in full for a board-and-train program after providing my puppy's age and vaccination…read moreinformation. They knew her age from the beginning and represented that they could accommodate her when I asked point blank. Other companies honestly told me she would not have correct vaccinations by then, but Mark told me she would be able to at this age. This is absolutely incorrect and they knew this. I did not as I am not in the animal business. After taking my $2,500 payment, they did not contact me for 7 days. When they finally reached out, they asked me for additional payment for the date I needed. Shortly thereafter, I was told my puppy could not proceed because she was not old enough to meet their vaccination requirements--something they already knew when they accepted my payment. They refunded $2,000 but kept $500. I completely understand having vaccination requirements for the safety of the dogs in their care. What I do not understand is accepting $2,500 from a customer when you already know the dog does not meet those requirements, failing to communicate for a week, then requesting additional payment, and ultimately retaining $500 when the service cannot be provided. This was a serious failure in communication, transparency, and customer service. I would strongly recommend getting every eligibility and refund requirement in writing before giving this company any money. *I do have texts and emails reflecting all of this.

If you are reading this, your search for dog training stops here. This is the place you need and…read morethey will change your life! This sounds a little over the top BUT I'm not lying. I tell our trainers Katie and Nicole all of the time that they are life savers. We brought our puppy here at 1 years old - a small wild, energetic Jack Russell who knew every time I was on a video meeting to bark his head off and embarrass me EVERY TIME! Walks were out of the question since he would pull on the leash to the point he would choke himself... sitting on the deck was a nightmare in our own backyard because he would bark at the wind (yes, the wind), the leaves moving, the birds and obviously the neighbors. Does this sound familiar? I questioned my decision of getting a puppy and then I found Max K9. We did a 3 week Board & Train where I was super hesitant of dropping him off (because no one wants to leave their baby anywhere), but they were so good with sending video progress and pictures and including my husband and I in the process. I joke with everyone that I think they implanted a program into his brain! Lol! The transformation was unreal. We were instantly able to communicate with him and actually go on a walk.. outside in the real world. What a breath of fresh air, literally! Max K9 has given us the ability to live an active lifestyle and have our pup enjoy it with us. Hikes, traveling, morning walks, trips to the store, brewery visits, long car rides out of state... you name it. I would do it all over again if I had to without a question. So if you've made it this far, thanks for reading. I hope this helps you make your decision to having a better relationship with your pup and enjoying life with them every step of the way.

I am SO thankful for Sherry at Maximum K9. I don't know if I can put into words how helpful she has…read morebeen in training our Stormie. Stormie is a rescue who we adopted in 2019 and underwent 2 surgeries in 2021 due to bilateral CCL surgery. She was cooped up for an extended amount of time during recovery. We were unable to take her outside without her reacting to other dogs and sometimes even people. Stormie even gave us difficulty when we wanted to go for a short walk. It was so frustrating and difficult taking her out in public that we needed help. We have heard of Maximum K9 from many of our friends and even the great reviews I've seen on dog groups and online. I called to inquire about the types of training (group vs. individual) and it was clear that we needed to take private lessons. We signed up for a package of 6 lessons with Sherry that were one hour long for 6 consecutive weeks. Our first day, Sherry got to know about Stormie's behaviors - positive and negative, what we were having difficulty with and what our goals were. Sherry worked with us each week when training Stormie (and me) on how to modify or progress a skill. We learned how to heel, which we never were taught from another trainer elsewhere, and the importance of heel. We were given homework on what to practice from the training sessions to continue our work outside of the facility. Sherry helped Stormie become less dog reactive in a safe manner at Maximum K9. Stormie was slowly exposed to the board and train dogs in the facility that had various levels of size and temperament. Each week, Stormie learned how to follow her commands and not react to different dogs. With Sherry's consistent training, Stormie was able to heel with me in a circle with other dogs and sit next to them without any reaction at all. I cannot find the words to thank Sherry for helping Stormie and myself. I came into Maximum K9 with Stormie trying to pull my arm off and reacting to dogs in the lobby to now leaving with my arm back intact and her in a nice heel. I will refer all my dog lovers and friends to Maximum K9 and Sherry going forward! Thank you again!

Absolutely the Best Place I've Ever Taken My Dog - 10/10 Experience!…read more If you're looking for a place that will treat your dog like family, look no further than Cozy Noses. I cannot express enough how grateful I am to have found this facility, especially for my unique situation. I have an almost two-year-old Belgian Malinois named Athena. She's incredibly smart, loyal, and protective--but she also has a history of extreme aggression, which makes finding a safe, understanding, and well-equipped boarding facility a real challenge. I was going out of town for just under a week and had no friends or family available to watch her. Naturally, I was anxious and stressed about where she could stay, especially since I'd had bad experiences in the past with places that didn't understand how to work with dogs who have behavioral issues. After doing a ton of research and getting referrals from family and friends, I came across Cozy Noses, and I'm so glad I did. From the very first phone call, I was met with nothing but professionalism, kindness, and an honest willingness to help. I probably called them four or five times before even dropping Athena off--asking everything from what vaccinations were required to whether her specific needs could be accommodated--and every single time, the staff was patient and thorough. They never made me feel annoying or bothersome for calling so much. That alone gave me a great first impression. I let them know up front that Athena has had incidents of aggression in the past and that she should be marked as "do not touch" or "do not approach" for safety. The staff took this very seriously, and they handled it with so much professionalism and care. On the day of drop-off, the process was smoother than I could've imagined. The kennel was freshly cleaned and ready for her, and the environment felt calm, organized, and welcoming. While I was away, I called in regularly to check on her--and not once did I feel like I was being a burden. The staff was always ready to give me updates on how she was doing, what her temperament was like that day, and whether she was eating and resting well. They truly catered to her individual needs and made the entire experience stress-free for both of us. Knowing she was being looked after by such competent and compassionate people gave me complete peace of mind. By the time I picked Athena up, I could tell she had been well cared for. She was calm, clean, and seemed surprisingly at ease considering her usual behavior in new environments. I was absolutely blown away. This facility is clean, organized, and clearly run by people who genuinely love animals and understand their needs--especially those with more challenging temperaments. I truly believe Cozy Noses went above and beyond for us. I now have complete trust in them and wouldn't hesitate for a second to bring Athena back in the future. If you're a pet owner--especially one with a high-energy or reactive dog--you know how hard it is to find a place you feel safe leaving your fur baby. Cozy Noses is that place. I cannot recommend them enough. Thank you from the bottom of my heart! -- Hailey & Athena
