After trying the first trainer on recommendation and finding her to be a disaster, I looked online and found Keith. He had a number of good reviews so I thought I'd give it a chance and try him. When he came in he seemed very passive not at all what I expected. After explaining his philosophy on the way he trains dogs. He started to recondition Milo & Dukie without pain or treats. He also explained how dogs look at people. Dukie's big problem was that he jumped on people when they entered the house, he is 145lbs and would knock people over. Milo had a real attitude problem he nipped. Within 2 hours he had changed the dogs attitudes, it was an amazing transformation. You can now walk into my house without being jumped on or nipped. Its still a work in progress but what an amazing difference. He has made our lives a lot easier. Thanks Keith. Great Value.

His reply to us was to throw bigger water bags at him. Needless to say, it ended with the puppy not only viciously biting my husband, but then myself. severe. wounds on my arms and legs what's needed immediate medical attention. We paid a lot of money for Bark Buster and they were completely useless. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS COMPANY. I'm sure I won't be able to get a refund for the months that we didn't use. this was a totally horrible experience we had to surrender the puppy.

He was definitely a tough one, and there were moments when it felt really hard, but they never gave up on him. They had patience, dedication, and the time it took to truly work with him meant more to us than words can express. His trainers made this entire experience such a positive one for our family, and we are so thankful for all the support, guidance, and care they showed every step of the way. Seeing how wonderful things are going at home now honestly feels unbelievable, and we know it would not have happened without all of their help. A very special thank you to Jake and Paul for believing in Louie and helping him -- and us -- through this journey. The Spinale family is incredibly grateful, happy, and thankful for everything they have done.

Both times she came home sick and required a vet visit. The first time she had kennel cough. This time we boarded her for a week and she came home down 3 pounds 26 lbs to 23 lbs) and with terrible diarrhea that lasted for days and required another vet visit and medication to address. Zero communication about her not eating or the weight loss during the stay or at pickup. Not sure if it was a case of their lack of attention to what was going on or they just didn't care. We have boarded our dogs there many times over the years but the care and attention now seems to be lacking. I can no longer recommend them.

From the first class the instructor was on a power trip. Instead of instruction, only received criticism; the food we fed was wrong, but he did not recommend a new food. I name all of three of us as finishing this class because at Kindred Souls, the owners take part in their dog's training. Previously, we brought our French Bulldog, Harlow, to basic obedience classes at Kindred Souls nearly seven years ago; and we knew as soon as we got a new pup, Kindred Souls would be our first stop. Pete is truly incredible at his job and has such an understanding of all types dogs. We truly appreciate how he puts the responsibility on the owners and his program is set up to set the owners and dogs up for success- as long as you listen to what Pete is teaching you. We've watched dogs that were timid and recently rescued come out of their shell and complete the training program like a whole new dog! Pete will not let you take shortcuts, which is what you want from a trainer, in my opinion. There's also weekly homework's provided in basic obedience, which are really helpful in making sure those in class stay on top of what they learn in class each week. Pete's also always available to his clients, which is so beyond appreciated, & helps showcase his true consideration for your pup. Pros: Pete is SO knowledgeable of all dog breeds and personalities and K.S. offers a variety of classes Our dog, Atlas, cannot run into Pete's classes fast enough! We're looking forward continuing classes with Pete and learning even more!

I still receive compliments from friends and family that remember him. With that said, that was years ago. I took Bam-Bam to Ultimate Dog at 4 months? Maybe slightly older. It was the best decision I made. Jean's style, at the time, was perfect for me and my family. She was clear, direct, and could identify the subtle mistake(s) in my instruction. That was key - to know what you are doing wrong while training your dog so you can correct it. My recommendation is to ask questions and have the mindset that you are seeking to learn how YOU will train your dog and you must put in the time. I recall a dog owner from our class that didn't do the exercises and blamed her Rottie for being disobedient. I don't write a ton of reviews but just had a conversation with a friend and Bam-Bam came up in conversation. Thanks Jean, you made me look good whenever anyone met Bam-Bam.

We found after 4 private sessions with Jean we were the ones who needed the training as well as the dog! Though he's not perfect (yet) he's well on his way! We plan on taking him to her distraction classes as other dogs seem to be his biggest issue. We've done training with other trainers in Monmouth County and Jeans methods hands down have been the best for us and our dog!

The first "parents only" class was incredibly informative and was a good way for us to gain some understanding in how our dog thinks and behaves. Had we not moved out of state, we would have continued to keep going to classes and socials at Heavenly Hounds! Even with our move, Nicole helped us find a dog training school near our new home to continue working and building on what we've already learned. Can't say enough good things about Heavenly Hounds!!

I did some research and found all the amazing reviews for Heavenly Hounds, so I decided to sign up for their puppy social and puppy Kindergarten class. Stephanie is our instructor and she is awesome, always giving advice and willing to answer all my numerous questions. My puppy is learning and I am learning with him as well. Puppy Social is great as well, it's not a dog free for all. The dogs are split up by size and temperament, this is great for dogs who might be very shy or even extremely outgoing. The trainers watch the dog interactions like a hawk and give you real time feedback on what is appropriate interactions and quickly defuse any interaction that might lead to something not positive. I would highly recommend Heavenly Hounds training to anyone looking for a caring and positive experience for your dog.
