Delicious, cool vibe, quick and friendly service. I've been wanting to go to Doinks for a long time and finally made it there tonight. I loved everything about it - and, somehow, one of the best things about it is that it does not smell like a burger joint. I had the OG and would recommend it to everyone. The smash burgers were delicious but the combo of the Doinks sauce and caramelized onion made it perfect. Loved the fries too, and they are a very, very close second to Tommy's fries, which, if you know, Tommy's fries, is saying a lot. Had a bite of my friends, onion rings and next time I'm going to get them with the extraordinary ranch dipping sauce. Can't wait to go back. read more

One of the best burgers around Cleveland! Great service, food is made fresh and there is a window going into the kitchen so you can see them making your food and so you can go pick up your order, which is really nice. The OG burger was awesome! The smashed burger patties were still juicy while having the laced crispy edge around the patty, the shredded lettuce and pickles added a nice fresh and crunchy contrast, the bun was soft but sturdy to hold the burger together, the caramelized onions added a awesome deep caramelized note, and the Doinks sauce was amazing and brought the whole burger together. The fries are also very good, they were very hot, crispy, and salty, and love that they kept the skins on the potato's when making the fires. Big portions and worth every penny. In the heart of the Waterloo Arts District, right down the road from the Beachland Ballroom is where you can find this hole-in-the-wall burger joint. It is a great local spot to grab a burger or a drink with friends, especially if you're looking for a place to meet prior to a show. The menu is limited to 4 burgers, sides that include fries, onions, a house made Thai pickle salad and kimchi Mac salad. They also have an ube cheesecake and four house made hard seltzers to round off their offerings. We grabbed the OF smash burger, the Bon Mi burger, the spicy pickle salad and the onion rings with spicy Doinks sauce and two Mexican cokes. Everything was awesome. The burgers were huge and a little hard to eat they were so overflowing with toppings. The onion rings were fantastic - a humongous basket I couldn't even finish. My husband loved the pickle salad and said the burger was one of the best he's ever had. Seating is a bit limited which wasn't an issue for us at 6 in a Friday but every seat was filled. I could see this being an issue if you went during a busy art fest. Parking is all on the street. An unassuming place on the outside but lots of delicious choices on the inside. Made the hike here and it was worth it. No too much seating present but there seemed a good flow of people getting takeout. The burger options were fun and varied even though it has few selections. We decide to walk, see the neighborhood; it's not _that_ hot outside tonight. We make it to Doinks. Easy ordering, easy red stools at the bar. They match your dress, your lips, and tote bag. Cokes in skinny ice filled glasses, we turn to see half our neighborhood inside. People I've used an industrial wood chipper with, people I've talked about death with. We smile, say cheers, exchange hugs all inside this burger haven. One OG for her. I go with the Sweet Heat, an absolute reckoning of ingredients that live up to its name. All I can say after this meal is, thank you. Thank you for feeding us such tantalizing burger fare, it is obvious you care a lot about it. I can feel your whole heart in between these buns. I wish I could have put 0 stars. This place is comparable to McDonald's. I got a burger with no meat on it and just cheese, and fries, because I'm vegan. The cheese tasted like any ordinary cheese. The lettuce was crispy and fresh. The fries were soggy and covered in oil. I don't recommend this place for anyone, go to Mc Donald's. It will be much cheaper, or go home and make your own cheese sandwich. read more

Saw this place near my old neighborhood on Instagram and my husband wanted to come. The place is a little hard to spot since there's no sign on the outside anywhere, but it wasn't a big deal. We found it. The place is cute inside. A bigger table and about 5-6 other tables/booths. I read all the positive comments on IG about how nice and friendly everyone was, but I didn't really get a vibe like that. No one was rude, but friendly would be a stretch too, which is surprising since it's a small business. My burger looked delicious. I decided to get my burger plain since I wanted to really taste the beef and the cheese and judge the food based on that. The very first thing I noticed was the heavy mustard taste on half of my burger. I read somewhere after that In-N-Out Burger finishes their burgers with the squirt of mustard on the grill so maybe Doink's does this too, but I guess I wasn't expecting that since most smashburgers I've eaten in the past had no signs of that God-awful condiment. So after wiping down the bottom of my burger and ripping off parts of the bun, I ate the burger. It was okay. Nothing special. Pink inside (which I like) but not that juicy. I have honestly had much better smashburgers at Culver's. The fries were like Five Guys fries, except they were actually crispy. About a 7/10 on the fries. The burger itself though, with all things considered, was probably a 5-6/10 at best. I wanted to love this place. It just fell short. And besides the food being just okay, the prices are pretty high. With tip, even though you seat yourself, order at the counter, and have to grab your own food at the window, it was $81 for 3 people. I just can't justify going back. Sorry, guys.
