I found this place while living in Bellevue. I should start by saying that I don't get my nails done regularly, I'll go get gel done most of the time but occasionally I like to have acrylics put on. I have never been disappointed with how my nails look when I leave Dojo's. I go in with a vague idea and Tom and Angie always help bring it together. Love them for that. The only reason I won't give them a 5 star is the inconsistencies with pricing. I went in yesterday for a full set, they are gorgeous, but they charged me $60. It says $25 on the board for a full set. I figured it would be a bit more because of the dip on the last two fingers, but where they got $60 I don't understand. Plus I have a pretty deep cut on my pinky finger from the nail file. I'm not one to complain though, they did me a service but I know now to always ask for a price before they start. Really nice place on my way home from My job in the city. I called around 2 for a 4pm pedi. They suggested to come a little sooner. I was in and out in a half an hour. 3rd time is NOT a charm! 1st visit to Dojo Nails in 2013 was OK in terms of wait time, staff friendliness and quality of the service. 2nd visit in 2013 I waited 1 hour before I was even worked on for a pedicure. I think I sat with my feet in the water without jets for about 30 minutes before the pedicure started and the quality was OK, but not close to the best I've had. 3rd time for my mani/pedi was so SUBPAR! I sat with my feet in the water for about 45 minutes before the pedicure. I'm so happy I had an interesting magazine! While the nail tech worked on my feet she was chatting with and looking at nail photos on another customer's phone and didn't say much at all to me. I'm not much for excessive chattiness, but I felt ignored. After my pedi, I then waited 15 minutes before my mani started while the tech went to another customer. After she did my pre-color work she went and worked on yet another customer for 10 more minutes. There was nothing that had to "set" with my mani to explain the waiting. The final work looks like something I haven't seen before. The section of the polish close to the end of the nails seems to be lifting and buckling. I'll post photos soon. There was not much exfoliation or moisturizing involved in either the mani/pedi, which I've enjoyed at the other nail salons. The price is ok, not cheap and not expensive. Each of the 2 people working seemed to be juggling 3 customers at a time. I was not the only person annoyed by the wait. read more

This place is a hidden gem! They have more color options than most places and their prices were extremely reasonable. The technicians are friendly and made me feel comfortable while they did my nails. I have never experimented with an almond shaped nail or matte polish, so I was a little skeptical of whether or not I'd like it. While they shaped my nails, they checked with me constantly making sure I was satisfied. Then after he applied the matte coating, he told me if i didn't like it he could reverse it. This place is great! Having gone to Nails today, on the northside, for several years, my nail girl up and left, with no notice. So off to find a new nail salon! I stumbled upon Dojo Nails, well on my way to the grocery store the other day. I had no idea it was there, so make sure you're paying attention as you're driving down Lincoln Avenue. I was taken, almost immediately. I had to first, decide on what color I wanted from their massive selection. They have Every. Single. Color. You could dream of! I decided on a nice soft pink, so hopefully spring will get here. Angie did my nails, and I talked to Tom also. They were both very friendly and he easy to talk to. I like their work for the most part. However, the woman didn't paint the color all the way back to my cuticles! So it looks like they've grown out for a couple days. I also have to go back to get a couple fixed. They are bumpy and the glitter didn't lay right. I will give them another try. read more

I called around 11:30 am to get an appointment for an eyebrow waxing, and I got an appointment for 1:15 on the same day. I was quoted $8-$10 for the waxing, which is standard in my opinion. I arrived about five minutes early and even though they were busy I was out in about fifteen minutes. It was relatively painless and I didn't have to go to a weird back room like at other salons to get them done. The shape is even, which is sometimes hard with my eyebrows because they grow at different rates and thicknesses. I paid $10, because they were bushy from not being done for like three months. Everyone was really kind and in good spirits. Also, the techs spoke really good English, which I appreciated because I sick at interpreting accents. It was a great experience, I'm definitely coming here again. read more

I came here desperate as the nail and toe center had just jacked up my nails. I walked in but there's a large sign that says appointment only. I took a chance since I was desperate. I explained to Angie that I needed a polish change and the man looked at the schedule and was able to get me in 30 minutes later. I came back and Angie took care of me. All I asked for was a polish change but once she saw the state of my nails she wonderfully set to work fixing them even more. She had to re file sand and shape the nails because they'd been done so poorly at the other place, they'd not bothered to actually sand the nails smooth. Angie was lovely and couldn't believe I didn't make the place fix my nails. I'm glad I came here and am so happy with my nails now. I'll make sure to come here from now on. Even though Angie did more than a polish change she didn't charge me more which was really appreciated especially given that I'd just paid for a full set at another place. read more

My nails look great and the prices were pretty good too. The owner was also friendly and funny. They have tons of gel colors but I wish they had more of a selection of regular polish colors. I would not recommend this salon to anyone! There is only one man doing manicures and one female that does pedicures. With this, my mom and I received pedicures in alternating succession. This person used the same gloves, same equipment and tools for the both of us, which left me with more than painted nails. I received a severe infection in my great toe as a result. This is a very unsanitary establishment and needs to be addressed immediately for public safety. read more
