I asked around after getting hit by a bus, & seriously injured, & heard Dolan was the best. I spoke to them & sent them exrays & other evidence. They didn't contact me further for several days. It left me hanging, because I have an excellent case presumably worth their efforts. I cant go into details because it's still open. Weeks went by with them not contacting me, claiming they had to see the police report (apparently those take weeks or even months to get from SFPD). I was left without representation all this time (a month), & I got tired of waiting, so I posted on Yelp my need & got a dozen calls, at 7 pm on a Monday night. On April 29, 2025 at about 4:30 PM the most bizarre conversation with one of their receptions/legal working from home. I called to get some information on a discrimination case.. I have never ran into such an unprofessional working for a law firm. I realize when you're working from home. She was very passive, aggressive, borderline rude like something happened before I called personal.. She was very very unapologetic about her unprofessionalism and the person that owns his law firm better look into it because this is the top of unprofessional.. she's asking me to explain why I called while I'm doing that literally out of nowhere SHE SCREAMS OUT A NAME IN HER HOUSE AND IT WAS SO LOUD I HAD TO TAKE THE PHONE AWAY FROM MY EARS!! then there was a long pause and finally, I said HELLO ? And all of a sudden very calm. She says I'm here. OK if you're there then say something you were just incredibly rude. NO APOLOGY FOR SCREAMING IN MY EAR WHEN SHE WAS SCREAMING AT SOMEBODY IN HER HOUSE.!! and she says there's a couple of questions I need to ask you for the attorneys so as I'm finishing up question one HER BABY STARTED SCREAMING TO THE TOP OF ITS LUNGS again I had to take the phone away from my ear!! WHAT MAKES HER ESPECIALLY RUDE SHE DID NOT APOLOGIZE. SHE DID NOT POLITELY SAY CAN YOU HOLD ON FOR A MOMENT? NOTHING YOU KNOW WHAT SHE DID. CLICK HUNG UP ON ME. We were in a near death acciendnt and this firm did the least amount of work possible to help. There was little communication or response. 2 out of 3 of our injuries were life-threatening, and "our" lawyer was more sympathetic to the driver that hit us head on. Even though we reported our lawyers' poor diligence and lack of response, it took a social media embarrassment for them to fire him.... a year after our case settled......long story short if you need real help don't come here. I have a lifelong injury, I feel the representation was not what I was promised. They called me before a court date and said they were not ready, this prolonged the case another two years. It's impossible to find legal help without predatory practices. This is a law office for cut and dry cases to take, they don't care to represent you even if you suggested to pay them hourly for their work. They just handle the cut and dry cases to take their cut. I also have to mention that the intake person was very professional and detailed. I read a lot of raving reviews about the intake process, and while this is true, I don't think the non-lawyers doing the intake are the measure of the competence and integrity of the lawyers hiring them. I wish your intake personnel work for more honest and competent legal counsels. These lawyers simply don't deserve them. read more

I first found out about Dolan Law firm when I saw advertisements around the city and also when I picked up two of their free legal guides. Their bike guide is pretty informative and I learned quite a bit about what I can and can't do when riding my bike around these busy SF streets. I even learned what streets to avoid because they had a higher rate (70%!!!) of accidents than most other streets. What was really impressive about this law firm was the information they shared in their "Employment Law Guide" because of a situation I found myself in at work. I called this firm and spoke to Walter (case manager) and I explained to him that I was planning on disclosing information to my jobs corporate office about a manager who was involved in some very questionable practices when it came to our wages. I wanted to make sure that the manager couldn't retaliate against me and if he did would I be able to legally defend myself. Walter was nice enough to tell me that I would be protected and his firm would be able to defend me if anything were to happen. Glad to say that things went smoothly at my job's HR department and Dolan's representation was not necessary but I am still very thankful for the reassurance that they provided.
