    Waffle with powdered sugar
    Ciara D.

We wanted something sweet after dinner and saw this place so decided to try it. Since we were in Amsterdam, I had to try a waffle...the gelato looked great, but I was too cold to be eating gelato. It was almost 10pm and the place was pretty packed. They didn't close until much later though, which is nice if you're in the mood for a late night treat. Despite the crowd, there was essentially no wait to order because most people were just browsing all the goodies. I ordered a waffle and got it in almost no time and had powdered sugar sprinkled on top, no Nutella. The waffle had great flavor, but was way thicker and denser than I expected. It was kinda heavy and greasy and I wasn't really feeling it, so I let my friends have some and wound up throwing it away. When I come back, I'll have to try the gelato because the waffle wasn't it for me.

One time my waffle was maybe 3 euros and another time it was 8 so I'm sure theres some sort of "tourist special" going on here but I was a total sucker for the many different flavors of waffles they heat up here and then cover in chocolate sauce. The pistachio one was particularly delicious.

Good exciting looking desserts. I got a crepe with banana and Nutella. Average good. No complaints.

Average milk shake, as the shake isn't not thick enough to be considered a proper milk shake. I love the dark chocolate though! They would serve an excellent scoop of ice cream. I think 3 star is fair.

Instagram-friendly looking desserts but terrible quality. Food is sitting in display cases for long periods of time and waffles are pre-made and simply placed in a heater when ordered.

Dolce and Gelato just looks so beautiful and colorful from the outside that we just HAD to try it. There are so many options to choose from, but we went with the fresh waffle with warm melted Nutella, and a banana on top. It was incredible. I highly recommend this place if you're visiting Amsterdam! They have A LOT to offer for any sweet tooth craving!

Yes it is a chain for sure but it's still good. Added white chocolate to a waffle and had it warmed up, delicious!

Abzocke, Vorsicht. Pro Eiskugel 4€. Besser vorher den Preis abklären. Das gild vermutlich bei mehreren Lokalen in Amsterdam.

This place has delicious gelato and friendly staff. I tried the American cookie, kit kat and Nutella flavors. They were very good.

The ice cream here is light, fluffy, and very creamy; the texture is one the most unique textures in ice cream I've experienced where it almost had a bounciness to it. I'm the type of person who chooses to get Sweet Cream flavored ice cream, so I loved the flavor of my scoop; so if you enjoy the flavor of milk for heavy cream, I feel like you'd enjoy this cone. The shop is very small and has a pretty long line. It moves pretty fast for such a small operation; we waited about 5 min from the end of the line to the scooping process. The service is very efficient and no-nonsense. I think this is a fun experience overall and would recommend!

I hate this place and I do so for several reasons but let me first talk about the good things…read morebecause they do have some of those. The good: The plain yogurt flavor tastes OK, albeit too sweet. They have LOTS of different kinds of toppings, way more than any other froyo place in Amsterdam. They have fruits and nuts, candies and chocolates, and all kinds of gooey toppings such as caramel and peanut butter and much more. You don't pay per topping but you pay for the total weight of your big, deep and wide cup. You decide how much yogurt, which yogurt, how much toppings and which toppings and then you weigh and pay it. The fruits always look fresh. The bad: The yogurt is too sweet. The Italian chick who works there is so extremely annoying. We've been there many times (because of my girlfriend, she seems to love it) and every time she, the Italian girl who works there, is up in our face asking if we know how it works. We say we do, she asks again, we answer again, she asks one more time and we answer one more time and then she starts explaining the whole process anyway. That is SO annoying!!! Moreover, if you stay there and eat your froyo, you have to hear her do this to EVERY. EFFING. CUSTOMER. That's not even the worst of it all... the worst part is: she shouts and yells EVERYTHING! This woman is amazingly annoying. My girlfriend loves this place and even she mentions how annoying she is every time we go there. That's not the only reason this place gets 2 stars from me. What also annoys me is that this place (in the beginning more so than now) actively advertises LOW FAT yogurt... which is bullshit because yogurt fats are actually good fats and can be very beneficial to a person, even a person on a diet. What they fail the mention is the crazy amount of refined sugars that is in the yogurt. Refined sugars are far, far worse than natural fats and the body treats them as poison (for example, check out "Sugar: The Bitter Truth" on YouTube if you're interested). The only reason I see for anyone to go here is the array of toppings they offer.

There are like 8 flavours of ice-cream you can choose from. I tried chocolate and vanilla. Also there are many toppings. I had blueberries, raspberries and chocolate crumbles. Because you have to do everything yourself here and the weight your stuff in the end it can get really pricey, so don't take to much. Also, you have to pay for every topping even though they present them like they are free. I had to pay 4,70 euros in the end. The ice-cream tasted fine, the toppings are also okay. So this is a decent place to get your ice-cream when in the neighbourhood. The stuff is also nothing special though and very pricey so I would rather go somewhere else next time. Like getting a few scoops at Haagen Dazs.
