Around one month later, I checked electricity billing again, and it showed that I had used $100 of electricity for June (and 80 for July), despite the fact that I moved out in August. The electricity spike occurred around the time they did the move out inspection. My best guess is that they turned on the air conditioning, and only turned it off like a month later. I have proof from daily electricity billing from the utility company that I turned off electricity after I left at the end of August, only to spike again after I surrendered the apartment back. I am going to have to go to small claims court since dealing with Debbie from corporate is an nightmare.
