Since I was planning to drive long distance, I did not feel safe being on the road without one. For me, that's a basic safety expectation. I drove to the Ridgecrest location specifically to exchange the vehicle for one that had a spare tire. I calmly explained my concern, but instead of trying to help, the employee immediately dismissed me. She told me the vehicle "should come with an inflation kit" and said she "shouldn't be able to help" me. When I asked what someone is supposed to do if they blow a tire, she said to call roadside assistance -- and looked at me as if I was stupid for even asking. It wasn't just the refusal to help; it was the attitude. The dismissive tone, lack of empathy, and unprofessional behavior made the situation worse. I was not asking for anything unreasonable -- just a safe vehicle for long-distance travel. Customer safety concerns should never be brushed off. If this is how Enterprise handles legitimate safety requests, that's a serious problem. I expected far better from a company of this size and reputation. Very disappointing experience.

Apparently, their online inventory doesn't reflect whats actually available at this location. I was called less than 5 minutes from when I was supposed to pick up the car and told that they don't have any vehicles to rent me. When I asked her why I was allowed to rent online and that I had already paid she became defensive and told me that it was actually my fault for booking while they were closed....imagine that... If your website shows that you have rental cars available...and your website says I can reserve one...andddddd your website takes my pre-payment for said car...how is any of this "my fault"? YOUR system sucks - just say that! Avoid this place.

They will rent you a vehicle with the check engine light on, and blame it on a sensor, only to try and blame the customer later. They will also cancel a reservation last minute because they refuse to work, even though Priceline has their vehicle rentals on sale because they have so many vehicles sitting around. They give the one customer they rarely get a hard time and charge them extra, just to not have to work because ripping off customers makes them money. The typical type of business that gives Barstow a bad name.
