It's sad when they don't keep up on having things in stock. Not happy with their service

I've been in the area for several years. I shop Grocery Outlet quite often. For years not much to…read morecomplain about until recently. Not sure why, but something has definately changed. Last time I was there, I bought several bottles of mustard because the price was good. After I got home I realized they charged me $1.00 more for each bottle. I called and was told they would refund when I brought reciept. I went back a few hours later, bought 4 more and spent the next half hour trying to get my refund and the 4 more for the price marked. They eventually gave me the credit/price, but treated me like I was the bad guy in all this. Before leaving, I suggested they correct the price so no one else goes through this. Then this time I went in to buy muffins. I took a double take on price because there were 2 different prices for exactly the same muffins. I took photos of both and showed to cashier because, of course the highest price came up on the screen. They still went to go look, even with a line of customers, and came back with exactly what I told/showed them. My cashier verified with another cashier on what price to charge and came up with the higher price. I still bought them, but that wasn't right. Again I suggested they fix the issue, so not to have irritated customers. This is very bad customer service lately and I'm hoping they look into what is causing the issue, besides re-training staff on proper customer service.

Occasionally one can find good deals here. Not so often lately as their prices are now often…read morehigher than the bigger grocery stores in Bend. Inventory is spotty and one must carefully watch expiration dates. Also, many items do not have clearly marked prices. Adding all this together means I shop much less at grocery outlet bargain market in La Pine and find the drive to Bend worth while.

Their butter chicken and jasmine rice is phenomenal and their naan bread is buttery garlicky and delicious. If you're looking for something sweeter their mango lassi is delicious and made fresh daily, just like everything else on their menu. Also on the sweet side I got to try their rice kheer, served chilled with hints of cardamom and sliced almonds on top. I've always enjoyed Indian cuisine, but the food prepared by this family is made with love, and you can taste it. Worth a drive to Oakridge just to experience their food. I would recommend the food at Dink's Market to anyone I know.

We were making our way from the Klamath area with our final destination that day being northern Oregon when we got hungry for lunch. My husband found Dink's Market on our route and we decided to give it a try. We both absolutely love Indian food, but were completely surprised to see that the spot, quite in the middle of nowhere, had such tremendous reviews. This inconspicuous roadside market serves up some of the most delicious Indian food I have ever had in my life. The husband, and what I am assuming is his wife, were so kind and attentive. We decided to start with an order of traditional samosas. They had the perfect fried, but flaky exterior with seasoned and perfectly spiced interior. The fresh mint sauce that was served with them was some of the best I have ever had. For our meals, we had aloo prantha and another dish that was a wrap that had paneer but I don't remember the name. Both dishes were made fresh to order and had the perfect level of spice. We definitely felt like we were eating Indian comfort food. And again, I would buy that fresh mint sauce by the gallon if I could, that's how delicious it was. To wash things down, I had an absolutely delicious mango lassi. So even though it is off the beaten path, if you are feeling adventurous and anywhere in the area, do yourself a huge favor and check out Dink's market.
