Looks can be deceiving! Super HUGE donuts, cinnamon roll was amazing. Crispy bottom from the caramelized sugar. Chocolate was classic, needs a glass of ice cold milk! Both ultra fresh and still warm. Totally worth the stop but do it early, I heard they sell out! Plus, good coffee and a really friendly staff. Not to be mistaken with the restaurant, this is a minimart. Very affordable $6 for everything (2 donuts and coffee) Need to go back for the apple fritter! read more

Their food is normally good. Their service is just ok depending who you get. Today, Sunday they ignored our group of 7 they did not want to combine a couple of empty tables, which boarded on being rude Not interested in serving, Not busy. We are locals and we only go there when our friends want to go as their priority is having beer with lunch. They cater to the drinking crowd. Poor to minimal food service is their standard. The food is good, but avoid if they are busy or you are only interested in food. read more

My wife and I stopped in for lunch again. We ordered the fried buffalo chicken wings, and the fried zucchini sticks. The chicken wings were delicious and tender. The service was great the waitress was friendly and attentive. The ambiance was average. I recommend eating here. read more

Where else can you get cinnamon rolls the size of your head and huge apple fritters. Prices are very fair for the amount of food you get. I stopped in and there is a country store feel which was clean and shelves were stocked. The cashier greeted me upon entry and the wait time to checkout was hardly any. Tucked inside this small gas station, you'll find some bomb homemade donuts. We would have never known to stop here if it weren't for a local's recommendation. I love local hidden gems! The marionberry is frickin' fantastic! It's loaded with tons of sweet, juicy berries and it was still warm and pillowy soft when we got it. A close second was the maple donut with toffee sprinkles. I thought it was going to be way too sweet, but somehow it wasn't and the crunch added a nice textural element. The bacon maple was also solid. I would pass on the lemon and the chocolate buttermilk. They have a good variety of coffee to wash those donuts down, and also some hot savory items in the back. Get there early (we got there at 9:30am on a Monday and they were going fast), but you don't have to get there early early (by that I mean like 7am...at least not on a weekday). read more

And yes, they're quite large. - A couple of times I've dropped in, they've been sold out but that was while fires were raging nearby and the firefighters bought them up. I'm certainly not going to complain about that. - Wickiup is my go-to gas station while heading south through La Pine. The donuts are a lot larger then most places would offer and made fresh daily.....Not wanting too much of a sugar rush i found a plain one that hit the spot. Just listening to the conversations one can tell this is well visited by locals and the staff seem to know every one of them. It is very easy to miss but not forget. read more

I stepped in a skeptical east coast transplant with lingering visions of Brooklyn's "Dough" embedded in my mind, and walked out a finger-licking believer already plotting out my picks for the return leg. I didn't have time to get the full scoop on the donut fairy that apparently comes in early every morning but clearly locals are wise so get there early if you want the full selection. Easily my favorite donut stop! I am in loooooove! One tip, cone early. I've showed up after 11 and there was slim pickings. I always get the raspberry filled. they have chocolate and powdered. My boyfriend gets the cream filled and loves it. All the donuts are so fresh and beautiful! They have giant cinnamon rolls for less then $2. and apple fritters the size of my head. If you're coming from the north on 97 or eastbound on the 43, head south 2 more miles into a more populated area of La Pine for several better options for whatever it is that you need. If you've already been through La Pine and can't wait until Bend, turn around and go back to La Pine. t's not worth the time to say why this place isn't worth your money, just be warned that it's not. read more
