I left my purchases at the register and left. I went to Walmart and began to worry that maybe the Dollar Tree was a crime scene, so I returned to make sure the employees were alive. When I returned there was an old woman on the floor stocking candy and blocking the register but no one behind the register. I told her that I'd left my things and was concerned about their safety. The old woman made no effort to get up but there was a voice from nowhere, telling me that my things were placed somewhere else. There was a woman in line with purchases on the counter but no one at the register. I realized these woman were more interested in organizing the products than selling them and it was going to be a long wait, so I told them I would go somewhere else, with that I got a "have a nice day" from the voice from nowhere. We all know that "have a nice day" means "F*ck You!" and not a nice thing to say to any customer, especially one who came back to see if you needed help. I find no need to return to this Dollar Tree and I'm sure they don't want anymore customers.

The parking lot has more than adequate parking the store is very well organized by category and easy to find your selections. Even though you do have to deposit a quarter for a cart here a lot of times people and do the good pay it forward move and leave a cart free for you to use hoping that you will do the right thing and pay it forward in the future. yes the selections can be small and you will not find a bunch of the brands that used to seeing at some of the big box stores but the money you save shopping at this location will more than make up for the lack of brands this place is perfect if you are trying to pick out certain grocery items regardless of what brand they are I will continue to shop here and gratefully pay a quarter to use the card and I will definitely be happy to bag my own groceries here

That's what VanHook smells like when you walk in the door. VanHook is definitely the local hardware store. Located in a long and narrow downtown building, the store has a variety of hardware ranging from screws and bolts to paint and barn gadgets. Older men in suspenders are available to assist you, and there's something interesting to find in every aisle. Sure, it's kind of unattractive, cramped, and din, but it works. You'll find what you need here. Need keys cut for your RV? No problem here. We even brought in a paint can from Lowe's and they were able to skillfully color match the paint. WIN. This place may not be as big or have as many options as Home Depot or another national chain, but it's local and they have heart. Support them. Give VanHook a shot before heading to a big box store. Oh, and on your way out, lift up the latch a bit on the door to open it.

So, I forgot the store existed. Then I moved here. And there weren't as many stores available to me as I was used to (coming from suburban Chicago). So I went to Big Lots one day and changed my mind. This location is clean. Spacious. Not weird at all. Actually had stuff! Now, when I'm on a quest to find a specific, reasonably-priced item in town, Big Lots is on my radar. Not everything is cheap, or great quality, or still good (some food items have been near expiration), but there are still quite a few gems in this store! I particularly like the home good sections, with reasonably priced floor mats, window curtains, dishes, etc. During the holidays, I will come here to browse the decor or gift wrap or ornaments. When I'm looking for a cheap toy or game for work, I'll look here. I do agree with the previous reviewer that the furniture is a bit too expensive though, considering everything else in this store. Do they even manage to sell any furniture!? It's hit or miss, but I'm content with what Big Lots has.

It was actually very clean and had a lot of good quality items. This location is in the quiet strip mall shopping center, where K-Mart used to be before they recently closed. The particular day that I was there, I was drawn in by the massive signs along the road indicating that they were having a 20% off of everything sale, that day only. Although I didn't end up getting what I was in the market for, I was able to snag a bunch of lawn ornaments, two dog beds and a few other items that I never knew that I needed. The lady at the check out was friendly and they seemed well staff and handled the high customer value that they had during the sale. The furniture department seemed a little overpriced, is my only complaint.
