I frequently shop here for my dad although there is a Piggly Wiggly in Montezuma I prefer this location. It's clean and it's "deodorized" meaning you don't smell bloody meats. Some grocery stores have that mildew old smell. Not this store. Floors, countertops, and freezers were clean. Freezers and shelves were fully stocked. Mind you this is Easter Weekend so it was busy. Parking lot was full. Cashiers on post and there are 2 self checkout lanes. The Deli was busy. I glanced at the hot bar - fried/baked chicken, mashed potatoes, green beans, carrots , biscuits, and banana pudding. Customer service top tier. Cashiers greet you as you walk in and at checkout. The owner was walking around greeting you as he walked by. Very friendly guy sorry I didnt get his name :) Ellaville is a very small town where everybody knows everybody. Today marks the eighth time in a row that we have ordered groceries from this Walmart and not received the baby formula that we ordered. This is not an exaggeration eight times we have been charged for formula that is $11 per bottle and each time the groceries are delivered the formula is nowhere to be found. The formula isn't just the only consistent item that doesn't show up. Every single time the formula is missing and two or three other items as well, not substituted not taken off the list because they're out of stock. They literally charge us for it and it's not there. How hard can it be to work at Walmart? The answer is not hard at all. In fact it is probably the easiest job on the planet, but these people seem to screw up literally everything they touch. You have a digital list and are literally scanning the barcode of each item before you put it inside the cart and so once you're finished and all the items the person has ordered haven't been scanned most people would go back and get the missing items. Not only can they not complete simple mundane tasks that a four-year-old could complete, but they also hire the same incompetent people to stand there and and get paid to watch me check out my own groceries and then demand my receipt at the door. The jokes write themselves.

I was like no I'm driving to Americus. The deli, fruits and veggies are on the right side of store. Everything was clean, organized and stocked. Everything was available I shopped for. Cashiers were all friendly. Social distancing was enforced - staff did not wear masks or gloves. Maybe it wasn't required. I was there at 9:30 AM it wasn't busy. Majority of the customers were Senior Citizens. And this could be due to the time of morning. Most Seniors are out early... If you have a Harvey's card use it to save. We noticed a car's hood was smoking because the employees came out to help the woman signaling to cut off her car. I am pretty sure their shift just ended because they all seemed to be closing for the night and multiple employees walked out of the building. The lady parked her car at Waffle House and they walked over to help. Their interaction with the customer was a breath of fresh air. One of the employees gave her a ride. It was such a kind and caring interaction and the world needs more people like them! We will definitely be trying them out in the future based on this kind interaction outside of their workplace.

In particular, I wanted to buy some oxtail! I called The Butcher Shop to see if they had any and the guy who answered the phone was so kind and patient. He took the time to answer all of my questions. They do sell oxtail for $16.99/lb. I arrived to the store and to my surprise, they have beef bacon! I LOVE BEEF BACON. It's so hard to find it now a days, but when I do find it I definitely treat myself! I can't wait to cook it for breakfast tomorrow. Highly recommend The Butcher Shop and I'll be back soon!

I ordered for my wife and I the 16 piece baked chicken for lunch and dinner later. The pieces of chicken were very small. The breasts were an average size. However, the chicken was very dry, to the point of being almost inedible. My wife and I couldn't finish our breast pieces due to how dry they were. I tried a wing and it might as well have been dust. I decided to take the rest to our cabin to try and rescue something for dinner, but nothing could be saved. We were on a tight schedule so I did not bother asking for a refund. The area where you sit and eat was filthy. The window ledges had mold all over them, the trash was full, tiles were filthy, and tables hadn't been wiped. See photos.
