In the past, we shopped here for snack foods and beverages while on a road trip. The store was large and contained the usual departments of fruits, vegetables, pantry items, meats, seafoods, dairy products, beverages, snacks, prepared foods, baked goods, pet supplies, flowers, gift cards, etcetera. The store also had a pharmacy. During our checkout, the cashier interacted nicely with us. The prices were average. We like to use Giant Eagle's rewards program to earn perks on future purchases. During our most recent visit, we again purchased just snacks such as chocolates and drinks such as sodas. The prices were average. The checkout process went smoothly.

This angered me so much and it's not the first time it's happened many times, that I am shopping somewhere else! For an active employee to refuse to slice a paying customer lunchmeat is ridiculous!!! I will never shop here again!! Some of the employees are very helpful but about 90% of them do not want to be bothered by customers and it's terrible I'm not the only one complaining I know manyk that stopped shopping at this store on interchange rd terrible customer service!

Recent visits I encountered staff the went over and above in customer service. I have challenges to lifting the 20# bags of ice. Cashier suggested that I just pickup the ice as I exit, after paying for it along with my other items. Second service compliment was that I needed a medical device to relieve pain for my daughter. Website said there were 4 in stock but I couldn't find any. Customer service rep also saw 4 in inventory and actually walked over to confirm the shelf inventory. When she could not locate the physical inventory, she checked other stores in Erie and instructed me where to go! I have always been happy with my shopping visits to a very well stocked store!

Over a period of 3 days from June 10th through June 12th, my grocery delivery order was repeatedly delayed, then rescheduled, then canceled and reordered again. This pattern repeated itself over & over for THREE DAYS until finally my groceries were delivered on the afternoon of June 13, 2026. I had multiple calls with your distribution center & their service was professional & they tried their best to get my deliveries, filing complaints & contacting the store directly but the Walmart store in Edinboro kept providing the excuse that no drivers were available. Was no one in their customer area getting deliveries over this 3 day period or was I the only one for some reason? Then I would get emails stating that I can always cancel the order or come to the store & pick it up. I did not pay for a Walmart+ Membership to drive to the store for my order. I could do that without the membership fee. I find this level of non-service unacceptable. I paid for a Walmart+ membership in order to get my groceries delivered. There is no excuse not to have a driver arranged especially since my orders are typically placed 12 hours in advance. I am in my 70's & rely on the delivery service for food & medicine. For 3 days I was denied this service that I paid a premium for.

Also I have seen pda inside the store, I've had to wait at the register to then see these same employees come from the back together after some time has passed. The store manager has been rude on more than one occasion to myself and others, she will also use her personal cell phone while waiting on customers. This store used to be my go to for quick shopping. Not anymore.

Don't neglect your western flank, Wegmans, Cleveland, Pittsburgh, Columbus await with baited breath.
