Wegmans is always a treat when visiting the area. Plenty of fresh, varieties produce, organic and regular, big gluten free section. This Wegmans location is one of the older models in the chain. If this is your only exposure to Wegmans, you're missing out. Regardless of the age, Wegmans always does an amazing job of keeping the inside experience on par with all the other stores. The worst thing about our visit to this Wegmans is that it isn't closer. Don't neglect your western flank, Wegmans, Cleveland, Pittsburgh, Columbus await with baited breath. read more

So like I said, I WILL travel for food. This particular Wegmans is an hour and half away. We drive here about once a month and bring our coolers. The extensive selection of fresh produce and prepared food is always consistent in quality. Not to mention the friendly and helpful staff just makes it worth the drive. If you get a chance to try the lemon raspberry cake it is to die for. It is seasonal so be sure to call ahead at the beginning of spring. read more

Wegmans used to be great. I'm from Erie but now live out of state, so, when I'd come for a visit, I'd always hit Wegmans first for the great food bar they used to have salmon, salad stuff and so much more (Erie doesn't have a lot of healthy food). They got rid of the self-serve food bar during Covid and never brought it back. I also used to go there for my morning coffee and a donut but now I hear they recently installed coffee machines instead of the cheery people that used to take your money and say 'good morning'. I suppose it was inevitable that they start cutting costs but while Wegmans still has a lot to offer, it's not the store it used to be. I hear The Westside Market on Powell has some healthy food and fresh coffee. I'm definitely checking it out on my next visit. read more

There are two Wegman's locations in Erie, PA. This one is West and there is another Peach St location. You cannot go wrong with visiting Wegman's for any of your grocery, prepared or fresh made take out needs. If you've never been to a Wegmans I highly recommend you check it out. They have a great beer & wine selection, with single cans & bottles, hard seltzers etc to go. In addition to your usual grocery selection, Wegman's own brand of many food items is excellent. Their kettle chips & cashew butter and peanut butter are great, to name a few. They have their own whole bean coffee as well. This store even had a small housewares section where you could find all your summer picnic needs from tiki torches, to colorful plastic plates, glasses, grilling needs etc. But it's their fresh made & prepared foods that draw us in, because we're on vacation. We got a fresh made large spinach, tomato, pesto pizza, a fresh made)highly recommended) Danny's Favorite Italian hoagie, sushi roll, fresh hot soup, craft beer by can at a decent price (Deschutes Fresh Squeezed), and an outstanding triple layer fresh peach cake. Their bakery items are simply amazing. If you've never been in a Wegman's you gotta go! It's my favorite grocery store. Much better than Pittsburgh's Giant Eagle and I like better than Whole Foods too. read more

A trip to Wegmens usually results in an interesting find. In addition to the same offerings as the other nearby grocery stores, Wegmens also has unique and interesting brands that are tough to find elsewhere, such as ethnic food. They have a good deli, a bakery, warm & cold foods to go, including sushi. Their craft beer offering is decent, but of course still subject to the strange PA liquor laws! Wegmans never disappoints!! They have the best subs and their sushi is great. I love how everything is all made right in front of you. The employees are always super helpful and friendly. I love taking my kids here because every department you walk past they offer your kids something to make grocery shopping easier. Plus Wegmans brand for any type of food is usually better than name brand groceries. read more

I'm tired of going to Wegmans to purchase products that they unexpectedly stopped carrying, but still display on their website. Today, August 13, 2019, I left a cart with groceries and walked out of this dump after being informed that they no longer carry two more of the products I purchase regularly. I wasted my time driving there to purchase items, your employees can waste work time putting all the other things back. Wegmans now resides in the same category as Walmart.....a confusing dump. I always visit this store when I am in Erie. There is so much variety, I can roam around for hours. The store is clean, the produce is fresh, and it's always fun to look at the plants and flowers. The beer and wine selection is great, and so convenient! I highly recommend Wegmans subs! read more

Sorry experience trying to use Wegmans grocery pickup. They charged us 88 bucks for an order then an hour later cancelled our order without a reason. Plus they refuse to refund our money for 7 to 10 days? What am I supposed to eat for 10 days? Do they think people have tons of money to spend waiting for Wegmans to get around to giving our money back? Wegmans is fantastic. They have been constantly voted as a best place to work and from what I've experienced, they treat their employees well. Their prices may not be rock bottom, but their store is wonderful, they have a great selection, the meats/seafood is always fresh and the checkout is fast. We have been customers at the Peach Street Wegmans since its opening. A family member has a chronic illness and we rely on Wegmans Pharmacy for our prescriptions. The associates there have been more than helpful---working with us and our doctors. And we get our prescriptions filled while we shop. They are knowledgeable, understanding, and most of all patient. When you work in west county, the dining options for lunch are limited at best, ESPECIALLY if you are a non smoker. There are bars and pubs dotted around this area like the Cab and Eduardo's, but plan to leave there reeking of stale smoke, which is extremely unpleasant if you hate that smell. Driving home if you live anywhere east of here is annoying as hell too because of the traffic congestion on 26th street. Wegman's to the rescue! Their prepared foods cafe is always clean, and the section is great! I especially love their $6 meals. It's easy to get something healthy and minimally processed. I recommend their Parmesan crusted tilapia, harvest vegetables, and roasted veggies. The meals are served chilled but they have microwaves on site to heat them up. There are also options for subs, pizza, soups, sushi, and a fresh salad bar. The sushi is wonderful, as anyone who has been to Wegman's knows. My favorite part about this cafe, though, is the outdoor seating area. There are plenty of large, comfortable tables and chairs, and the area is covered. They have designed it to feel intimate and comfortable, and yet you don't feel invaded if others are nearby. There is usually music playing on the speaker system, and the whole experience is very relaxing. I also really enjoy their coffee bar-the iced green tea is fresh brewed and cheaper than bottled at $1.65 for a large! Also, Wegman's is not fussy if you bring your own food. I have seen plenty of people just purchase an iced coffee and bring their own sandwich. The staff is often seen enjoying their lunches among the patrons, which I think is great. The employees are pleasant and really seem to enjoy their jobs. This is so much nicer than other places that won't allow their employees to be seen eating or socializing around patrons. Overall, Wegman's is a great place to enjoy a relaxing lunch at a reasonable price in West County or anywhere without reeking of cigarette's or breaking the bank! read more
