I went there on a weeknight, about an hour before it closed at 9 pm and it was very dirty and unorganized. It's a fairly new store so it should have been cleaner or better maintained. I understand that any store can be unorganized on certain days but wasn't impressed with how cluttered the store was, however, that wasn't the main issue I had. My main issue was with the store manager regarding an e-gift card I wanted to use. I purchased a $100 gift card for my aunt for Christmas 2024. She printed it out and used $66 of the card two months before I attempted to use the remaining balance. There was still around $34 balance. My aunt gave it to me to use the remaining balance. There shouldn't have been any issue when I tried to use the e-gift card. The card was not expired and being that my aunt used the same piece of paper just a couple months before, that has the code and card number and PIN on it, it was still good, but the store manager was rude and refused to honor it. I asked her if she could try scanning the e-gift card after my groceries were scanned but she declined and said that everything needed to be printed out where it says, "Redemption Instructions" and "Terms and Conditions." According to the manager, since it didn't have that information printed out, she refused to accept it. I told her that's irrelevant because it has the code, the card number and PIN but she just shook her head and told me she's not honoring it. I called customer service a few days later and the e-gift card is still good and should have been honored. I'm giving a 1-star review because of the manager's bad attitude towards me. I was nice to her, but she wasn't friendly to me. She was condescending towards me. I'll go back to the same Ruler again soon, knowing that the card is still good and attempt to use the remaining balance but most likely, I'm not going to bother with Ruler again because of one very rude manager. Ruler lost me as a customer because of a rude store manager. Had she been nicer and just tried to scan in the code to see if it worked, then most likely there wouldn't have been an issue.

This is the second time in less than a month getting expired products unknowingly. Today, I went shopping and one of my purchases was a bag of Schnucks brand pork rinds. When I arrived home, I put my groceries away and sat down to enjoy my snack. Well, it was very stale tasting. I look at the expiration date and they expired December 25, 2025!!! I called the store and was told to bring them back with the receipt for either a refund or product replacement. I drive 20-25 minutes depending on traffic to shop here. So disappointing!

I have no complaints of the service I received. However, I was waiting for my car to be finished when I saw a gentleman bring in my keys. He was unfriendly with me, even just as I smiled at him .. I didn't think much of it, just ignored it. A few minutes later, he jumped on a worker for "not working", while two tires were sitting by the desk. As the worker defended himself and said he was actually working with customers, the man said to him, "don't make excuses, just work." The other man said, "I'm not making excuses, Dom, I've been working." Dom, a word of advice to you - don't call out or belittle your team member in front of customers. Customers that have been sitting in seats, watching this man work behind the counter, asking the other young lady which tires were which, so that he could do the necessary paperwork. This isn't a good look for you, sir. It is unprofessional and it is also abusive to your coworker. It was, I am sure, embarrassing for him and it shouldn't be done at all. Do better.

This location is built very nicely on the inside and of course the store is super clean (you would hope so since it's brand new). Aldi's is become more and more popular with affordable fruits and veggies to purchase! Well other food too. I mainly shop at Aldi's for their fruits and veggies. I wouldn't recommend some stuff but most seem to be ok. I'm happy they opened up a location in Fairview!

I grew up going to Aldi as a child with my parents. I didn't understand why we had to rent a cart,…read morebring our own bags/ buy bags and none of the items were name brand. Well, I know now. Aldi has made some changes but not many. This location carries produce, frozen items, meat, household items and even wine/beer. They have the cheapest prices on milk as of 1/28/17 $1.49 a gallon and eggs .79¢ a carton. They do carry some name brand items like cereal, condiments and some produce items. Seasonal items are sold and are placed on clearance when that season is over. The staff is always helpful either helping you locate an item, tying to make the lines shorter or just friendly in general. You still have to rent a cart for .25¢, bring your own bags or purchase theirs. They do accept credit and debit cards as well. At the end of the day... yes, I will be back.
