The used photography gear is not terribly well organized, but if you're willing to dive in and brave the dust, you can find some real vintage gems. They stock newer stuff as well, including all the current Canon EOS DSLR bodies, along with a decent selections of lenses. They always seem to have a staff member knowledgeable about photography in the store; yesterday, I passed a good half hour talking shop with the man behind the counter, and walked away with a new lens at a respectable price. Their other inventory is eclectic, to say the least, but it's the kind of place to go for something unusual. I vacation in this area nearly every summer, and a stop at Glens is always on my itinerary.

I bought popcorn on the way in, and it was indeed good. Very clean, and alot of shops to wander around in. I went straight into the quilt shop and bought some beautiful material. I plan on making some pillows in the near future. Wow the quilting shop was one for the books, I could have stayed in there for hrs. So many crafting ideas and nice material. They ladies do offer classes, or can tell you who does in the area. They have antique shops, puzzle store, cook ware, toy store, decor and food for purchase. Im sure I missed a few things. This is a must stop if your in the area. All the shops seemed amazing and reasonable priced. Lots of parking, and everyone was welcoming. I met a few fellow antique collectors along the way.

So the price on an item was less than the one that came from corporate. The cashier said she was…read morethe manager of the men's department in knows that it wouldn't have been the price that was on it and someone must have put the wrong price on when they got it in. I asked for a manager and the manager said there weren't any more there but the price was the one from corporate. This doesn't seem to be fair considering if I went to another register there wouldn't have been any issue about the item and would have gotten it for the price that it scanned up. I don't think this is right of Gabe's especially when I spent a lot of money on this visit. I am seriously considering returning all of what I purchased and not give them any of my money in the future for this type of customer service.

Several items I looked at were damaged. A glass pitcher with a 6 inch long crack, a clock with a shattered face, a cake place with a significant chip, just to name a few. First thing I would like to address here is the fact that it just doesn't work. Sitting along the road shared by the mall. However, it is not connected to the mall in the least. You need to enter this lot only from the road, even though it is in a shared space, the lot does not allow for you to freely flow into the parking lot of the mall. You have to go back out on the road and make a quick right turn into the entrance to the mall parking lot. They could definitely connect it to the mall and it is a missed opportunity. I might also like to add that that it can be dangerous exiting and attempting to turn into the mall right away. The parking situation isn't much better here either. There is a strip of spacing outside the main doors, but it can be tight if other vehicles are attempting to enter like you are. There is a lot towards the back, but a good portion of it is taken up for the donation area. Inside, they used the space to the best of their ability, but even so, they were lacking with the setup they had. Instead of shelves lining the walls, they used shelving systems that are better used in closets. I mean they do have some shelving against the walls, but it is not used to the best of their abilities. Of course the items all depends on what is donated, which made the selections a bit lacking. Totally not their fault. But the interesting thing about this location was the fact that they had brand new items for purchase. Of course, at a deeply discounted rate. A lot of pet items, some cookware and a mix of other items. After a quick look around the store and finding nothing to my liking, I was back out the door.

The inventory varies, depending on what suppliers had too much inventory of. Some items might be close to the expiration date. Many of those items are in the chilled areas at the back of the store. Large creamer containers could be two or four/1.00. Bottles of juice could be 2/$1.00. Cottage cheese or yogurt can be as low as .10 or .25 each. There are lots of items that aren't expiring. They are inexpensive too. There is an entire aisle of cases of soda. I got 12 packs of Birch Beer (think root beer with a wintergreen flavor) soda for $7.99. The variety was unique. Soup flavors were limited and priced low. I bought the Grilled Cheese & Tomato flavor soup for 2/1.00. It tasted as advertised. There were several types of microwave soups, convenient for trips or lunches for 2/1.00. The baking area was varied and unique. There were at least 30 types of flour, including gluten. Salad dressing bottles were .50 for 8 oz and 1.99 for 16 oz. There were larger sizes too. There were unique baking flavors (eggnog) and lots of filling flavors for pies and pastries. A family of five seemed very excited about giant mayonnaise containers for $6.00. The chips and snacks were mostly inexpensive. The only section that didn't seem to have a discount were the Little Debbie's. Bottles of Gatorade were .89. Snack bag sized chips were 2/$1.00. The household row had toilet paper & other paper goods, plastic bags and containers. A 10 lb bag of ice was $1.99. The employees are friendly. The bathrooms are clean.
