I explained to the cashier that I just wanted to exchange them for the right strength. While she went to talk to the manager I went to the rack near the register to get the correct strength of glasses that I needed. The cashier came back and said that the pair I had handed her was not on the receipt and therefore I could not exchange them. WHAT?!?!?!?! They were in the bag when I got home and I assumed perhaps the cashier that had rung them up had just scanned one other pair 5 times instead of dragging each pair over the scanner. She said she was the one who rang me up and she didn't do that!! WHAT?!?!?! It's a $1.99 pair of reading glasses!!! Do you think I stole them when I just bought 4 other pair?!?!?!???? All I wanted to do was exchange them for the correct strength. I asked to speak to the manager. She came over and started telling me to calm down and stop yelling at her cashier. I wasn't yelling! I was trying to explain they were in the bag when I got home with the other 4 pair that I had purchased and I just wanted to exchange them!! She again said they weren't on the receipt so therefor I could not exchange them. I then threw both pair on another checkout desk and said keep them both!!! Not worth getting into a pissing contest over a $1.99 pair of reading glasses!!! Rudest bitches I have ever witnessed!!! I worked in the retail business for many years and would NEVER have treated a customer the way I was treated!!! NEVER WILL I STEP FOOT IN THAT STORE AGAIN!!!!! Sure enough I was correct and she came back saying the price was correct but they had not changed the sign. Well, that is not my fault. She must have been ticked that her employees did not get the price changed. I will say that while she was correcting the error she did change her attitude to a nicer tone but never did apologize. Only sporadically did they work on our online order, even though they were already behind on our order & those in line had only just arrived. Three other customers who had placed online orders arrived while we were waiting and were still waiting when we left. We finally got our last sub just as they finished serving their last customer in line. Again, this was 30 minutes after we had arrived, 30 minutes after our food was supposed to be ready, and fully an hour and 15 minutes past when our order had been originally placed. This was quite frustrating. I appreciate that the workers appeared to be doing their best, and they did apologize for the wait, which I also appreciate. But I could have gotten my food within 15 minutes if I had just gotten in line with everyone else. I'm not sure what the point is of having online ordering available, if the food isn't going to be ready when promised and the online orders are going to be so deprioritized compared to the in-person orders. Either they need to change their "ready by" times or they need to change their workflow. I will say, the sandwich, which was a vegan turkey situation, was absolutely delicious. I just wish I hadn't had to stand for 30 minutes and watch them make food for other people when our order had already been pending for longer than anyone in line.
