Eau Gallie was once it's own town but now it is part of the northern section of Melbourne. Run by volunteers, the store is currently open on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays from 10am - 4pm. This is a really old school thrift store. They only take cash and checks from local residents as payment. You can however keep up with them on Facebook. The thrift store is a main room with two smaller side rooms. In the large room is clothing, accessories, and some household items. They had some children's Halloween costumes. The side rooms hold crafts, party items. household goods including a lot of china, and bric-a-brac. Prices are inexpensive. A beautiful punch bowl set that would be perfect for any shower was only $15. A visit here is like a trip back in time. From the creaky floors to the vintage items they sell to their old fashioned payment policy of not accepting credit cards, this store is like something out of the past. I was completely charmed by all of it. Stop by if you find yourself in downtown Eau Gallie.

Their mission is to provide food, clothing, rent, utilities, medication, gas, and tuition to their school to anyone in need in the Melbourne area. They operate a large food pantry next to the thrift store. I stopped by to check out this thrift store during a recent trip to Melbourne. Parking is tough and I had to wait a few minutes for a spot to open up. It was well worth the wait because the store is quite large and neatly organized. Ascension Catholic Thrift sells gently used furniture, collectibles, clothes, bikes, shoes, accessories, books, movies, records, home goods, games, toys, art, small appliances, and more. Christmas was half off and they had ornaments for only $1. They had a number of televisions plugged in and operating which I don't usually see at thrift stores. Prices were more than fair, selection was vast, and the volunteers were friendly and helpful. In addition to the support they provide the community they are also keeping items out of the landfill and offering discounted items to people who might not be able to otherwise afford them. This worthy organization is a great place to donate, shop, and volunteer your time to.

In GA, these stores have a general lack of inventory, poor quality clothing and overpriced items. She literally begged me to go, promising that this store was really nice and I would like it. Okay Shorty! (less that 5 ft and nipping at my heels until I give in). As soon as we enter the store, I am shocked because they actually have inventory!! What!! The store has several departments: children's, ladies, men's, housewares, accessories, shoes, personal care products and luggage. They still have a large selection of swimwear and cover-ups so if you are still looking, check them out. The clothing featured was stylish and well made. They actually had really cute pieces including, kimono covers, sleeveless tops and dresses. was a better quality than what I have found in some of these stores. I found a really nice black v-neck tee for my husband. It was thin and was very well designed with shoulder accents. I love roller bags because I use them when grocery shopping. They are perfect for hauling heavy produce and of course they are recyclable. Although I wasn't in the mood to purchase one at the time, I did take note that they are carried at this store and that they had a varied selection.
