My whole life I've heard of Publix. Was surprised at how small they are. Pretty basic. Where they shine is the subs and premade food. For $8 you get three of the biggest most incredible chicken tenders, 2 sides and a piece of cornbread. Also you get one free dipping sauce. The bakery has some temping treats as well. Publix has become the leading name in the supermarket field here in the southeast. Once you experience a Publix supermarket yourself, I am confident that you will understand how Publix has become such an iconic supermarket brand and has developed such a loyal customer base down here in the southeast. Publix has created a solid reputation by offering incredible customer service, great BOGO (buy one, get one free) deals, and we cannot forget their subs, which are affectionately known as "Pub Subs." Coming from New Jersey, a state known for their great subs, in a way, it hurts me to state that a supermarket has some of the best subs in the area. But it is also a 100% true statement. Publix subs are very good. My go-to sub is probably their Italian sub, which is truly a tasty offering. I also enjoy their roast beef and cheese sub. I would definitely recommend upgrading it by using Boar's Head meat. It is definitely worth the small upcharge. It is great to see Publix expanding beyond the boundaries of their home state of Florida and spreading throughout the southeast. Not only am I happy about it, but I am confident that the communities where Publix opens a location are very grateful for a Publix opening by them. I would definitely recommend this particular Publix location or any Publix location for that matter and I give it five stars. read more

Always easy to shop in, the staff are aware and helpful service is always available, the food is definitely fresh and pleasing. Sometimes a bit crowded inside, but go expecting some people around you and you should be fine. I think it's a A plus experience. Definitely okay to bring your kids with you to shop. Shopping is a lot different since Covid 19 . The isles are marked so you will walk in one direction. The shelves are stocked nicely thou some items are still hard to find like cleaning supplies, hand sanitizer and toilet paper. Thou clearly they are even selling packages of facial masks on the end caps . The employees are extremely helpful when you stop to ask questions. The floors are clean and the store isles are well lit as well . The only thing is pricing can be a bit higher for items you could find way cheaper at other supermarkets . read more

Not enough employees for the prices. Shouldn't have to wait in lines to pay premium prices for groceries. Managers (two or more) shouldn't stand and watch while the check out area is busy. I will return when Publix chooses to make the customer feel as relaxed and comfortable as the management appears to be when the employees are extremely busy. read more

Worst Publix ever. Three times I've ordered subs online and each time I've gone to pick up the subs they haven't made one or more because they don't have the item I've ordered. So now I've waited to go pick them up at the time indicated and the order is not completed. They claim they tried to call me but there are no missed calls or messages in my phone. I've spoken to customer service and the store managers and all I get is an attitude. They have actually said "well, what do you want me to do about it". Will never go to this Publix again. I'll stick with the Satellite Beach store. Much better customer service and employees. read more

Great place for food and supplies in Indialantic This store is located on the northwest corner of the intersection of Eau Gallie and South Patrick Drive. It is one of the anchor stores for the open shopping center with the entrance facing south. There is a large parking lot with plenty of parking directly in front of the entrance. Be careful entering and exiting the store as the path in front of the store sometimes has drivers that do not pay attention. This is one of the over 1200 stores in the United States. These stores are known for their clean locations, pleasant staff, and quality operations. This is no exception. Upon entering through the East entrance (right as the facing the front) you will find the carts to your left in the vestibule. The flowers and bakery are to your right as you enter the store. The store is clean and well kept. The shelves are stocked and the aisles are well marked. The deli has great sandwiches and very reasonable deals. The store offers most types of foods for all palettes. There is a pharmacy to the far left. The staff is very pleasant and the prices are reasonable. Overall, a wonderful place to shop for your weekly/monthly items or just to pick up a sandwich in a clean and pleasant atmosphere. read more

I don't live in the area, but have been visiting a friend for a week. I visited Publix about 5 times this week and each time I was pleasantly surprised by how polite and professional the employees were. I had a good experience with customer service. The check out clerks were friendly every time I checked out. The product dept also had a very helpful staff person. I wish I lived closer because this would be my fav store. read more

The cashiers are super cool. But the unprofessional and rude to women title goes to the guy with white coat and short hair in meat department. He will go out of his way to insult you and demean you if you ever ask for help. He may have been promoted rede and unfortunately is unavoidable. He was super nice one time when his boss was around. Creepy And all my friends know to avoid him to prevent insulting comments. Terrible one jerk can ruin your shopping experience. Sad because all others are super kind. read more

I stopped using this publix for a reason. Slow service. But today I needed them. I was ordering 300 pieces of chicken and because I wanted it fresh I ordered from 3 different stores. I paid in advance and had two other people picking up from the other stores. Ready by 4 they promised. So why is it that at 4 you are pulling 8 piece boxes from the case and dropping chicken in the fryer for my order. Do you really think the 200 people expecting dinner on time care what MY excuse is? This review is for the bakery/bakery website section only, no experience with other sections. Short version: everything was great, except the nonsensically arranged website navigation. Novel Version: I went online to look at the bakery selection of cakes. The online set-up is not user friendly, not intuitive nor very organized. Searching the main page for 'birthday cake' brings up 711 products. The search engine checks recipes & products, which lengthens the results list considerably. *Cake Page Shortcut*: Home/Recipes&Planning/ApronsEventPlanning/online event planning. Cake Selection: Sections are separated by very fancy (wedding, etc.) cakes, specialty cakes (more exotic/ethnic?) and decorated cakes (themes). I have heard the Publix wedding cakes are a favorite in the local area. Otherwise, great selection, especially superhero themes. Necessary to scroll down to decorated cake search feature, which offers a drop down list of themes, as well as a useful search feature that is only for the cake section. The prices were not listed online, as they vary depending on location. Online ordering is not offered. The Spiderman pull-apart cake was ordered at the bakery counter on a Friday. I had already decided on flavors & frosting, so I didn't need to ask questions or look at the big book. The cake was to be ready on Sunday at 9AM. The woman taking my order had me read it and sign it to ensure all the info was correct. I called Saturday just to make sure the order wasn't lost or forgotten. (It was an important birthday). The person who answered the phone put me on hold and actually found the stack of orders. Then he read all the information aloud to double-check. He was reassuring and patient. There was several hours of wiggle room built in before necessary pick-up time, just in case there was a screw-up (not just Publix, I do this most places). When I came at 4PM the cake was ready, decorated correctly, flavors 50/50 as requested. This was a new type of cake to me: a pull apart cake. It's a bunch of cupcakes on the bottom, but one icing scene/theme on the top. The cupcake arrangement saves a ton of high-pitched whining while waiting for the cake to be cut. There are no corners with extra frosting, so everyone gets the same amount. The only complaint I have is the cardboard cake box was way too big for the cake. Although I padded the cake box adequately for the drive, the pastry did slide around inside the box. The plastic toy held the top high enough to keep the icing intact, but I would bring some padding of your own to secure it within the box. The cake was very popular and much appreciated. The pull-apart feature was admired by the adults. Be prepared for some giggles, as the Spiderman toy's posture is designed to be hung after the party (it comes with a little hook). On the cake, it truly looks like Spiderman is trying to be sexy and thoroughly present his assets. Younger kids won't notice. *****BEST IN SHOW***** Since arriving in Melbourne, I have been doing a lot of grocery shopping and have visited several of the local Publix stores. I really enjoy cooking while on vacation because I like to be able to eat as well along with breaking some rules. It is also super convenient because you don't have to spend any time traveling and waiting to be served. I love to just eat and go! Also, my little friend swears she cooks but she really doesn't because there are just too many red flags: there was no produce in the fridge, (No fruits and veggies, just tons of condiments), she has frilly (instead of functional), aprons, the spices and leavening agents are expired, (2005 for the baking powder, but she insisted that it was still good-Knucklehead), and her boyfriend was WAY too excited when I cooked. So no, this chick is NOT cooking no matter what she says. But she is my ride or die and I love her so I'm stuck! Anyway, this was probably our fourth grocery shopping trip because things I tend to just keep on hand are obviously not in her kitchen. Publix just makes shopping very easy because you already know what to expect, quality and great service. I really loved their meat and seafood department. If you are that person who doesn't need to wash and handle their own meat, (Ewww!), you will probably appreciate the items that are prepped in advance like marinated meats and kabobs. They looked wonderful, (fresh and well prepared) but they just aren't for me. The red meat was the right shade of red and the poultry was the right shade of pink and everything, (including surfaces) just appeared very clean . When I am in the produce department there are certain things that impress me, great looking Swiss Chard and Dinosaur Kale. These greens are the most difficult to find in pristine condition. If you find them, they are usually pale and wilted and just not at their peak. Their greens were standing at attention and definitely at the peak of freshness. I loved seeing friendly management throughout the store because it is reassuring and might explain why this store is just a cut above the others. I knew that if I had a problem, it would be addressed and I knew where to direct my questions. When I visited, the sampling station was featuring glazed pork tenderloin and mixed peas with edamame. The meat was delicious, tender and well- seasoned, while the peas were just a uniquely refreshing and healthy side. If you like something that is featured, you can just pull the recipe card and try it at home. The bakery department was great! We purchased one of their cheesecakes, that we had freshly dressed with a strawberry glaze, huge strawberries and sliced almonds. It was incredible!! This is a great store and I highly recommend it for all of your grocery shopping needs. However, there are a couple of things I would love for them to consider: Trash cans placed throughout the store would be nice. You don't want the customers to have a reason to leave trash in their cart or not clean up after themselves. They don't have cart corrals just concrete structures on the ground for inserting carts. There are only three rules to bagging groceries but Publix refuses to teach is Personnel how to bag. #1. Never put cold stuff with non cold stuff. #2. Never put heavy stuff on top of non heavy stuff. #3. Always put stuff that has to be cooked to be safe into bags only with other stuff that has to be cooked to be safe. that's all the rules that exist in grocery bagging. I always feel like my food is contaminated when I go to Publix in FL because the stick my raw meat and raw eggs with other Foods. Publix is a fabulous grocery but I give them an F minus in bagging. read more

Sand which section: Jose was hands down the best sandwich maker in the world. He has an amazing personality and is very funny along with being very talented in making subs and gave us great suggestions to make them even better. It's so nice to see someone so happy at work and really make an effort to keep the customers happy! My normal Publix is the satellite beach location but stopped by here for some dinner and was very pleased!! Hope he's treated well! read more

The market is clean, but the store associates here are mean and rude. They just point, and our cashier was somewhat of a jerk. I confused something at checkout with a club card, and the cashier said "those are just coupons, and they're crap, so don't waste your time." Wow... well, at least you're being honest. But, aren't you like supposed to upsell crap like that, in case I'm a secret shopper or something? The girl who was bagging our groceries was joking around and told me I couldn't get paper bags (and said she was joking). That actually helped me rate this place two stars instead of one. Publix is supposed to have a good reputation, but this location seems to negate that. read more

Oh, Publix, how I love thee! I fondly refer to this (my hometown Publix) as the "Beachside Publix." I usually spot onee or two beach goers putting more appropriate attire before venturing into the store and everyone seems really relaxed and happy at this Publix. I always head straight for the buy-one-get-one-free bins of items strategically placed in eyesight when you walk in and today, they were cooking some yummy mushroom dish that customers could try. Not only do they have the recipe card right in front of the dish, they have all of the ingredients in the coolers right behind the cooking station so that you don't have to hunt for the ingredients. During my visit today, I purchased some fresh produce and glanced longingly at all the sweet treats in the bakery. If you haven't tried their apple turnovers, I recommend that you get to your closest Publix and do so immediately! They are on par with pastries that you would find in a stand-alone, pricy bakery. Also, no Publix visit is complete without getting one of their famous Publix subs - again, get one.soon. read more

Just had a terrible experience here a little while ago. I was #4 in a"10 Items or Less" line. So the first guy wrote a check to pay...seriously, people still do that? LOL So that took longer than normal. Next guy went through OK. Then for the guy right in front of me, he was buying a bunch of stuff which included 2 bottles of wine, but one of them wouldn't scan properly, and that's where the problems really began. So after calling over a manager, they still really couldn't figure it out. At that point the cashier looked at everyone else in line, and said "I'm locked up and can't do anything!" So the rest of us in line assumed that the manager and/or the cashier would right the situation. Ha ha...they didn't. So after a few minutes of standing around, the cashier scans the trouble wine bottle and it works! Yeaaa! (The manager had left about 4 mins. ago). So she rings that guy out and looks at me and says, "I'm going to have to reboot this register, and all of you are going to have to get in other lines!" The latter was after waiting about 15 mins. in an "Express" lane at about 4:30pm on a Thursday! At that point, I just left my 8 items on the conveyor belt and walked out.
