Hams & Jams Country Market is a great place to walk through and kill time while waiting for your notification that your table is ready at Loveless Cafe. Hams & Jams Country Market has a lot of country themed gifts, including items to decorate your or someone else's home, various types of foods, like preserves, jams, biscuit mix, bacon, and a lot more. R got a cup of hot coffee while he was in the market, and he said that there were a variety of coffees, lattes, and other hot drinks. While we were in the market, very helpful employees walked around asking just about all of the customers if they could help them look for something.

Reason I mention this is because my wife and I stopped into Jack's a couple weeks ago and I was taken right back to that experience and I was left not only impressed with how well virtually every guitar I picked up played, but by how supportive, encouraging and kind the owner was when just such a kid was in the shop with her dad, excitedly talking about sci-fi books with him. Honestly, he was just great. When the kid and their father left the store, there was a bit of a pause and the owner said to his partner/wife "What a smart kid!". This little interaction I happened upon made me a fan for life of this store and I just wanted to share. I was that kid many years ago and I can tell you for certain that the kind of kindness and encouragement the owner offered makes a huuuuge difference in what can be a difficult period. There are other things I could mention, like how the set up on nearly every acoustic guitar they had rivalled a Taylor fresh off the rack at Gruhn's. Or how rare it is to find such a great collection of under-the-radar gems and hand made local luthier boutique in one shop. But none of that floored me the way witnessing the owner's interaction with a fellow sci-fi fan did. These are good people.
