I wanted to update this review as we have now lived in the area for 8 years and still find the Publix in our village the best place to shop on the area by far. The store is always clean and well stocked, but the biggest difference is the staff. Knowledgable and friendly from the Bakery and Deli counters, to the meat and seafood departments, all the way to the register and out the door. Your staff should be commended as these traits are what makes paying a little extra for our groceries a bit easier. You get what you pay for!!! Bravo!!! read more

We needed some things for our stir fry dinner wand this was close by. It's a big, beautiful, well lit, well managed store. We bought shrimp, scallops, baby corn, jalapeños, fresh snap peas, butternut squash, broccoli, bell peppers, sweet onions, ginger root and on and on. Publix is an awesome super market. The locations are all spotless, the cooked and baked goods are amazing, deli sammiches are on point, and the staff is friendly and helpful. Today I went into the deli in Publix after getting some devastating news about my health. I have been struggling with health issues for months now with no cure in sight. My doctor suggested I started a Keto diet, which is very new to me after being a vegetarian for 4 years. When I got to the counter, I asked for turkey, not really knowing what I was talking about. Most people would have rolled their eyes at me but Heather took the time to tell me about my options and even suggestions that she loves! We talked for a few minutes and she honestly was a pure delight. I left the store, got in my car, and started crying my eyes out. At a time of so much uncertainty, Heather took my mind off of the pain I have been dealing with and showed me lot of kindness! I hope the managers know what an amazing employee they have right there! If you are in a hurry, do not go to the store! Everyone here works at a snails pace. Also, something about the lighting in the store is really unsettling. It's weirdly dim and a strange hue. Finding items here is also very frustrating. Why is the cheese not by the dairy like every other grocery store? She made the sandwich with the wrong meat and I went to customer service and the lady said I could go back and have them remake it. No customer service anymore!! read more

I am an older lady shopping at Publix on a Thursday. I have been having a health problem, getting weak all of a sudden not able to lift items, or walking very far. To make my story shorter, the manager came over and unloaded my cart, followed me home and unloaded my grocery items into the house. What a nice man !! I will never forget such a nice gesture. Waited at the bakery counter a good 5-8 minutes. The bakery clerk was assisting another customer. The other two in the bakery saw me. Never acknowledge me or offered service. This is a place where I admire not only the products, prices and service, but the employee morale, too. NEVER, have I gone here and not be greeted by a smiling, helpful face. I can't recall EVER not finding what I was looking for. Here are the basics (and my key essentials) that impress me: 1. It is CLEAN! - always looks spotless and organized. 2. The employees are always smiling and offering assistance. (And, they appear strategically positioned to be EVERYWHERE they are needed!) 3. Products are arranged well on the shelves and in neat fashion. 4. Prices are always compeititive. 5. They are never out of stock. Never. 6. Meats are fresh always look good. 7. Sufficent check-out lanes are always open! This Publix simply satisfies all the critical success factors and ingredients to achieve a consumer's complete shopping experience. - In stock - Service - Support - Price - Covenience - Great attitude - Delicious private-label brands (especially their ice cream!) Finally, it bears mentioning, that I do not like going to any grocery store. Admittedly, I'm happy letting my wife do most of the shopping (as she's the primarly cook and, afterall, knows what she's doing!) I was really pleased at how good the service is. I know Publix pushes their customer service, but you don't really believe it until you go there. And it's true. If you have questions, they will legitimately stop whatever they are doing and help you. If you go to a Kroger or a Walmart, you're likely to get a bored and unpleasant teenager who will do whatever you need as unpleasantly as possible. At a place like Aldi, you have to bag your own stuff. But at Publix, they quickly take care of you and do it with a smile. Even places like Whole Foods and Harris Teeter don't make it such a pleasure. If the goods were as cheap as Walmart or Kroger, I don't think I would shop anywhere else. read more

CHECK YOUR EXPIRATION DATES!!! I can't stress that enough. I've complained to management several times in the past(over the past 3 years). I don't shop here regularly because of that. In the past I've seen expired meat and dairy. Not by a day or two but by MONTHS. People can get sick!!!! read more

I was minding my own business when a cashier said you ready to check out and I said leave me alone and got well ok then! I was going to get a dog toy and every employee kept saying can I help you? No you can not because I just wanted a dog toy and not to be annoyed by employees! Then a employee told me what cake to buy and I don't want to pay $4 for cake!!!! I felt like I was at opry mills mall when the Israeli kiosk try to pull you aside and pressure you to buy what they have! I am getting married in February and have enough pressure on me and don't need annoying employees saying are you ready to check out or what cake to buy! Some people are not ready to check out and cashiers should mind their business and not pressure people to check out!!!! And I celebrate Hanukkah not Xmas and don't care about it at all! !! THE BEST CHICKEN SALAD EVER from the deli. I had to special order it and picked it up the next day and must admit the staff was ULTRA nice and helpful. I paired the salad with a spinich wrap and some bagged spinich for the perfect lunch. My son asks for one every day for his school lunch now! I prefer to support local mom and pop stores, however in a rush, Publix always has what I need! They are Very friendly, helpful, go out of their way to show you where an item you are looking for is. I mean these people would cartwheel if you asked them to! Large variety of organic produce...and wonderful breads made fresh daily at their bakery. If you go around noon, you can taste some of their daily cooking demos...sample some coffee and grab a kids club cookie and just like that....there was a free lunch while shopping! Publix will also special order something if they do not have it in stock. Wednesday's they have penny items if you clip theIr newspaper ad of the week. read more

Who doesn't love coming to publix lol. The employees always say hello and see if you are finding everything ok. The food is always fresh. Ok, not that grocery shopping HAS to be a glamorous, aesthetically pleasing experience, buuut...... if that's what you're looking for then you won't find it at this Publix. This particular Publix just looks old and outdated to me. Outdated tile, aging shelves and display stands, old aisle signs, etc. It is also extremely bright, but not in a good way. And there is a lot of weird open spaces. I don't know.... my recent shopping experience there just left a lot to be desired. Prices are WAAAY higher than Kroger unless you happen to be purchasing one of their BOGO free deals, which are nice. Maybe I've just been spoiled since I've normally only shopped the nice, new, Brentwood location or maybe I just know this location is old since I worked there 20 years ago when it was Foodmax. Either way, I probably won't be going back unless they are having a good BOGO deal on something I want/need. read more
