I did find the cupcakes, but the selection was minimal (all they had were 12-packs of vanilla cupcakes). Boo. Anyway. If you strip the Walmart label, this seems like a decent grocery store with all the usual grocery/pharmacy offerings. It's spacious, clean, quiet, and all that jazz. Organic offerings? Not so much. And it's basically across the street from Kroger, which is much better, in my opinion. Yes, the prices are lower here, so I understand why some people shop here. But... It's Walmart. The name alone turns me off. There are many better places to shop for food in Lexington. Three stars because the store itself is OK.

I found a glass shaped pumpkin jar on clearance for 1.30 it was originally 13.99. That was definitely a steal! Right after thanksgiving they had their glass Pyrex storage containers on sale but one get one which of course I did. I also found Murray's Brie cheese on clearance for 4.45 it was 8ozs. There are so many things at this store I don't see at the one on Euclid. Plus I don't have to deal with the hungry crazed students shopping. The employees are always friendly and helpful. I use u-scan so I never really have a long wait in line if any. Thursdays at all Kroger's they have rotisserie chickens for 5.00. The store itself seems to always be clean and well stocked. Of course I still have a harder time navigating the store because I'm so used to the one on Euclid. But it's definitely worth the trip. Don't forget to checkout their clearance section I got Starbucks coffee for 2.01.

If you buy a $5 ticket online in advance for restock day, you get assigned a spot in line. They raffle off 3-4 items just before the store opens and those with tickets are entered to win. I won a small firesafe on my 1st restock day. Once the store opens, people rush in to grab the best items. I was seconds too slow grabbing an Instant Pot and a Foodsaver vacuum sealer both of which were great deals for $5. My best deal this Friday was a Rodan and Fields Unblemished skin care set that retails for $190. It's not very organized but I love the hunt for a great deal so it doesn't bother me at all to dig through bins. After the $5 restock day, the prices start to drop each day but I feel like it gets pretty picked over pretty quickly so restock day is the only day I like to go.
