I feel like because it's not as close as Largo Plaza 10408 campus way people forget about it. I love that for Me tho because I could get in and get out!, ppl had on masks, you can move around freely without bumping into someone or having to slide your cart over type Ambiance. The Food to Me is always fresh seafood or packaged! , it's always very organized like this store keeps up on care of their presentation! IMO!!!... This has been nice during the COVID times where I wanted space between me and the next shopper. There have been very few occasions when I was looking for a specific product or brand that they didn't have. The few times this has occurred, I've been able to find a substitute so my recipe is not impacted negatively. The produce, meats, and seafood have all seemed fresh, well stocked, and ordered neatly. I'd also like to give them a shoutout for how they've adapted to COVID and new regulations. There are always associates cleaning the aisles, racks, and conveyor checkout belts. For much of 2020 and 2021 there was also an attendant at the front of the store offering to wipe your cart down before using it. Over the years, some of the employees have started to recognize me and chit chat while I shop. I appreciate the friendly service.

Lack of self-check out at this one may be an outlier. Of course, no alcohol sales in Maryland grocery stores is a slap in the face for those of us who have moved on to less Puritanical states. Absolutely packed on Sunday afternoon with big lines at all of the registers. Very friendly cashiers here, though. Many grocery items were cheaper here than their equivalents at Target next door. Expectedly, this was 5x more busy than Target.

Stuff like cilantro, organic store brand dairy, and my non-HFCS maraschino cherries. Well, wouldn't you know, that 'W' grocery that I love so much didn't have the item (dried porcini mushrooms) I was looking for recently, and rather than giving up and ordering from the big 'A' (two day prime shipping? I want it today!), I found it at Giant. And only for slightly more! This is ones of those groceries where you must sign up for a loyalty card to get the sale price, so if that bugs you, stay away. And they really should designate a self-checkout lane to GenX/Millennials only, but other than that, a good selection, moderate prices, and competent staff for the win!

Also, I received a Weis Rewards card when I went to the store, but when I tried to sign up for an account on the website, I had two nasty surprises: 1) the website rejected the Weis Rewards card that I received 2) I see the store, located at 4535 Fairway Village Pl, Waldorf, MD 20602, is not listed at all on the website, so signing up for an online account was not possible. That store is walking distance from my home, but if the website won't let me register, what do I do -- anything? I expected to sign up, but the website doesn't allow it. Also, the website doesn't let me see the entire list of customer reviews -- is that on purpose? I think someone needs to do some work on the website because it's hardly a Welcome to Weis Markets as it is now! The proximity promises to make it my main store, but the website doesn't seem to welcome me at all!

I actually kinda screamed- noooooo!! I was expecting folks at my house in an hour and wingettes are not gonna do! So I say to the woman who gave me the buckets: I wanted chicken chicken not wingettes She looks at the order and apologizes for the mixup and tells me that it will be 18minutes Needless to say, I left out with 40 pieces of chicken and she gave me a discount for the mix up The chicken was piping hot and delicious

It's set up like an indoor Farmer's Market, so prepare to pay for each area separately. The actual venue isn't anything special- you can tell the floors are old. At the front of the Market there's a stuffed pretzel section, however they only take cash for this area. Everywhere else I went they accepted credit cards. Looking forward to going back and trying the stuffed pretzels. I also noticed they had a sign for unlimited pancakes on certain days. I would be interested in trying those for sure based on the quality of food I got. The bakery items and meats I bought were thorough.

It may seem overwhelming at first, but it's actually easy to get around even when it's crowded. The lines are usually long, but they're very efficient. You grab a ticket to place your order, and things move quickly. Keep in mind there are extra charges for bags and card use. Cash is recommended, though cards are accepted at most stations (except the pretzel and ice cream lines). There is an ATM on-site. Note: The market is only open Thursday-Saturday, so plan ahead!
