Shockingly terrible. The only sections in good condition were the flowers and the liquor. I found both the floral and wine sections to be fully stocked and well kept. There were a lot of spoiled items on the shelves. I went there on the evening of December 30th and saw multiple varieties of milk dated December 27 and earlier. There was moldy fruit and vegetables in the produce section. When I checked out the cashier was on her cellphone and there was trash around the registers. Prince George's County pays the highest property taxes in the state of Maryland. This grocery store is in an affluent area, but it's terrible. Nice market place. And it's OPEN during COVID-19!!! Notice on the door about wearing a mask, social distancing and the like. Hand sanitizer is provided by the entrances & exits. Disinfectant wipes are also provided. Loved the notice at the register about paying in exact cash due to the shortage of coins. I found the pricing to be fair. Lots of options & brands available for your picking. Ample parking. Friendly cashiers facilitate the checkout process with ease & efficiency. read more

I avoid this store like the plague even though it is the closest to my work. I've been asked to run in and pick up a few things on numerous occasions by my boss, and it always ends in me needing a Xanax . As others have noted, the flower and plant selection is awesome and to their credit there is a healthy vegetarian section other than that the produce is average and over priced, the Bakery produces only super over processed foods and the checkout is routinely a nightmare. Every time I go the only thing that's open is the self check out which is unusually hard to use and not calibrated correctly in the bagging area. Every time I've gone, I've needed help from the apparently overburdened clerk in charge who makes it clear that she thinks I am a freaking idiot. Really I hate this store.. read more

I stopped here after work my mama been calling asking about sweet potatoes! I ran in here and they have a pretty big array' of different flowers ! All beautiful and colorful . The Manager Dan was his name was so helpful I just asked can he show me which flowers were the ones that described the sign and he went above and beyond to even pick me a nice !! Bouquet!!...I was so grateful because I'm not a flower person and my mama is! I thanked him and went on my way!. I like this Wei's it's clean , they have everything in stock that I need and there's always someone there to help! Unlike other places we're everyone is mostly standing around together like they're in high school huddled needing to tell each other a secret real quick and you need help finding something. Other ones have an attitude like you're bothering them but I never see that in this Weis which I appreciate! . The parking lot is congested as hell but I love this Weis and it's people so thank you to whomever for the great widely stocked wines (I made spaghetti) sooo goood and great customer service and always having things in stock ! read more

My first time on this store. Extremly big mega store which i belive is the anchor of the whole shopping center. The veggie section is somewhere small giving the size of the store. They have pretty much all product you will ever need, great store fast check out, employees are "mosly" nice price could be a little higher tham other places but the location is convenient. read more

The price was very reasonable along with their friendly customer service. If you ever need a birthday cake this is the place to come. This place sucks. They barely have anything on the shelves and then they only have 3 lanes open at the register. Not only that, the cashiers ring you up super slow. I just needed to run in for something real quick and it ends up being a 30 minute trip. They don't have self check out and the lines are literally as long as the grocery aisle. I go back and forth about this Weis grocery store... I don't live too far from this location so it is definitely convenient if I am dropping in to get condiments, milk, cheese, etc. I don't buy meat here and rarely buy fresh produce - often times because the produce looks picked over. The checkout line(s) is probably the most frustrating part - there is usually 1 or 2 lanes open so even though you only have 3 items you may have to wait in the line behind someone who is making Sunday dinner for the entire congregation! Parking can also be frustrating depending on the time of day! read more

I was wrongly accused of shoplifiting by a cashier at this market this morning and not given an apology. I started checking out at a register, asked a cashier for help removing an item because the wrong price was shown. She helped me with that and then left. After i had scanned everything, I realized I needed to shift to another register because I was paying with cash, not credit/debit cards. I looked around for help but no employees were near the self scan machines. I moved to the next machine and completed my purchase. Then I went to the back of the store to verify the price of an item, and took that item to the courtesy desk. Suddenly, the elderly cashier appeared and accused me of stealing the items I had paid for. She began questioning why I hadn't completed my order on the original register. I simply pulled out my receipt and gave it to her, telling her why I had to move to another machine. She scanned the receipt and compared it to the original receipt she had taken from the other register. A man dressed in plain clothes (security??) looked over her shoulder. She told me my receipt showed different items from the original receipt. I told her no it was all the same items. I had about a dozen items, valued at about $27. I am outraged at her behavior. I was too tired after walking 5 miles in the heat to argue with her. When I return to the store, I will demand a meeting with the store manager. She should apologize for her accusations and public humiliation of a customer. What shoplifter stays in the store after stealing and goes to the courtesy counter to confirm a price?? This Weis is a nice place and all the employees i came across were pleasant. except the "blonde", short haired, mature aged woman working at the customer service desk. i rolled up to the counter (i have a cast on, so im using a knee scooter) and she seemed to be training another employee, so i didn't go close and waited to be acknowledged. Unfortunately, it was well over 3 minutes before she even bothered to drawl out "what do you need?" as if im at the wrong counter. i said good evening and asked how she was and she just stared at me. i realized she possessed zero manners(and possibly no proper training) and proceeded to tell her that i would like a club card. she asked for my ID and once she realized it wasn't a driver's license (Government Issued) then turned her back to me and asked me to tell her my address. i understand the computer is way over there, but is there not a form i could write on as opposed to having my business yelled out. either train or remove this woman, she has zero idea what customer service is. & that is MY job within the U.S. government. read more

I went to Weis during lunchtime ,I knew I didn't have a lot of time so I made a list from the sales paper. After I found everything with the exception of one or two items I couldn't find, I get in line started putting my items on the belt, the cashier says I'm closed, got register 1 or 8. I put everything back in the cart, went to register 1 no one there, so I walked all the way back to register 8 again no one therethought about just leaving the cart and leave the store. Ended up going to the register that was 12 items or less and asked the cashier could she ring me up since no one us at any of the other registers. So she said to come on, got everything out of the cart, thanked her for ringing me up. I turned around and the first register I went to the old lady had rung someone else upWTH! The other old lady who rang me up tried to cover for her saying it's time for her to get off...They really need to get self-checkout registers, since it's obvious they can't get competent employees. Mid-day it's always busy there an they never have enough registers open. Speaking with other shoppers they said it takes entirely too long to get checked out. Which makes people late getting back to work. I guess if we get fired from our jobs we can work for Weis @Central Ave! read more

The store was clean and stocked...Some items were out of stock but that's to be expected as there was a sale going on at the time. Weis is usually my go-to store as it is close to my home and usually has a great selection of produce and meat. Today I went to the store to purchase meat and there was none on the shelves. The only option for chicken was one pack of chicken breasts and two containers of what I believe were chicken gizzards. Upon asking one of the employees if they were restocking the shelves and if they would be able to bring some items from the back, I was told that there was nothing in the back and they weren't expecting a shipment until tomorrow. This is unacceptable! As a grocery store, you would expect that outside of a hurricane or major storm, basic groceries would be available for purchase. The reason for the lack of groceries that was told to me was that the person responsible for placing orders was away and no one else was capable of filling in while they were gone. I ended up going to Giant, which had all the items I was looking for. Although Weis is my preferred store, going forward I will go to either Giant or Wegmans, which are farther away from me, but who obviously has better business practices. This will save me time and obviously frustration in the future. read more
