I had never even noticed the makeup section here until a few months ago. If it has always been there, I have completely missed it the last few years. If you don't mind hunting around a little, you can find some great buys there! Even drugstore brands can get a little expensive for me while working at a low-paying job in my early 20's, however here you can find drugstore brands for 25-50%+ off! I have bought Maybelline, CoverGirl, Physicans Formula, Sally Hansen, and ELF products here.

Found an open entrance and walked through and holy shit, totally creepy. Gymnastic and a gym was still open the rest of it was shuttered. Creepy old movie feel, banners hanging dated 2019. An old pub displaying what's on tap but pub long gone. It was such a strange place to explore.

Locals refer to this as the "Green Mountain Small" as this is one of the smallest and empty malls…read moreone has ever seen. The one last remaining anchor store, JC Penny is there. Most of the mall is now empty except for a few clothing or other small specialty stores that suck. Rich's, Ames, Zares, The Music Shop, Butson's supermarket, Sears, Fashion Bug, Dana Jewelry, and more have vacated. I hate to be negative as the area needs business, but coming out to the mall is a wasted trip. I recommend shopping downtown St Johnsbury. However, just keep this in mind, that JP Penny is the ONLY place within 1 hr drive to buy a suit or good sheets.

When I asked and learned that books are only .50, clothing is $2 and all bags/purses are $1 no matter the quality/condition/brand. I needed two carryon bags for my flight tomorrow since out suitcases were busting at the seams. At the thrift shops I frequent in Denver I would likely be paying between $8-10 per bag. I paid $1 per bag. My daughter found some cute tops as well. No it's not the most organized but it is a place with a clear mission to reuse/recycle. Love it.

The service was friendly and the staff were enthusiastic to help me. The downstairs level has a great assortment of homewares, souvenirs, and local food items. We bought a few jams from a local Vermont company for ourselves and as gifts for family members. I loved the large selection and spent a good 30 mins browsing. Very enjoyable experience and atmosphere. The store has sampling stations throughout so you can taste the products before purchasing. I also enjoyed the fun photo opportunity in store. They had an old ski lift car you could sit in for pics.

I saw the retail price was $14, and the store sticker price was $21 or $22. I just put the game down when I saw that... and they were blatant about it... didn't even try to cover over the retail price. They placed the store sticker right next to the original price. That was a bridge too far, and I just got pissed off and didn't want to support this store... so I didn't.
