Walking into the restaurant I was not greeted by anyone. There were several employees walking around and no one approached me. Finally the hostess walked up and asked if I was dining in. He sat me at a table and walked away. The waitress came up and had a bowl of popcorn and asked if I wanted some. I'm not a popcorn guy anyway so I declined. She asked if I was ready to order. I asked if everything was fresh. She said all of the fish was and some of the meat. Per her recommendation I went with the haddock. The salads at the 99 in Littleton, NH are made with commercial grade salad mix, of rabbit food like lettuce chips, all for a Premium Price of about $15.00, so NOT worth it. The chicken strips on our salads was the equivalent of three adult, human size fingers (just a disgrace). Overall, this is a pretty decent chain restaurant. The hostess is always welcoming, and the servers are friendly and on top of things in all locations I have been in. The basics are good. I like the free popcorn. A decent hamburger and french fries. The salads always fresh, if not really creative. We wanted to have a bit of a larger table and waited for one as we had 6 people. The person at the front said they would be cleaning one off soon so we waited. Well it turns out it was a booth we had to squeeze into which was not ideal in the least bit. She put a chair on the outside and like a minute later two people including our waitress came over and said we can't out the chair there it blocks the way...which it was about halfway plus they could walk around as the room we were in was not big at all. We had a great dinner last night and re back for lunch today. The 10 yr old and 13 yr old really enjoy it here too. Last night and today one got chicken fried chicken with FF and mashed potatoes with the country gravy. One for a huge chicken pot pie which was delicious and served with their masked potatoes too. Chicken parm and potato skins that were also delicious. Everything was served very hot and looked delicious except my pot pie which I had started eating before I got my pics! Honestly speaking, the host at the stand, Ethan I think his name was? Fantastic. Superb. I've never seen a more adequate and well adversed employee. Recently I found they removed him. My husband I couldn't believe this. Now all we're left with is the girl from fatal attraction at the front host stand. I had the best fish sandwich today at 99. It was light and flaky on a brioche roll and the batter had the perfect crisp. It came with fries (which were good), however I didn't eat many since the sandwich was so filling. There was so much fish I had to remove some to eat it. I asked for tartar sauce instead of their chipotle sauce (don't care for spicy). Loved the homemade sauce. Probably one of the best, if not the best, fish sandwich I have ever had. As always, the staff was polite and around when you needed them. Ate supper here with a colleague while traveling through for business. As we attempt to emerge from this Covid altered state, it's refreshing to see an adequately staffed restaurant that really rocks it when it came to quality service. Some patrons ignore the signs and park in the designated spots (usually when very busy). 2) They install more sound-absorbing materials inside the restaurant and/or sound barriers. We enjoyed our meal until the other bartender Mary came over and yelled at him in front of us and was extremely unprofessional. Mary looked at us after yelling at him like she was all high and powerful. We felt like children watching a student get in trouble at school. John did an amazing job and we were so happy he was the one serving us! If you go there ask for John to be your bartender, not Mary!!!! I don't believe in people making people feel beneath them. There is a few options, mostly fast food and I was looking for a place where I could sit and have table service. I stopped at this particular restaurant while I was on a trip with my spouse and one of my children. I normally love 99 -- the one in Concord, NH is excellent. The food is always fresh, the waitstaff is always professional. The 99 in Littleton is not up to the same par. The waiter was extremely rude. I ordered the nachos appetizer with chili and received a plain nacho plate. When I asked the waited about the chili he said, "well this is what you ordered." He was almost non-existent during the meal, but visited the table across from us probably 19 times (I counted and then lost count). I ordered coffee with cream and sugar. He forgot the sugar and left a single creamer. When I asked for more he looked at me and did not respond. He showed up ten minutes later with two more creamers. The food was sub par. My spouse ordered the shrimp and fries which was very greasy. I ordered the fish tacos. I would advise against this dish as it has an off-putting flavor the way they made it. The fish had obviously been frozen and the batter was nasty. There were a few pickles and some cabbage in the slaw and a light drizzle of some strange sauce. To top things off, the stingy manager neglected to honor a smartphone coupon citing that he "didn't have the technology" to accept it and had to have a printed copy. Uno's and Applebees both honor coupons from smart phones -- there is no reason the manager could not honor a measly 10% off. The neglect and rudeness of the waiter, the food, and the rude manager ensured that I will never visit this restaurant again and I will be sure to tell all of my many relatives and friends. Worst service ever from a bartender. When I asked for a dinner cooked to temperature he quickly answered with a negative tone. Half way through my meal I finished my wine and didn't see him until I was done. He asked at that time but I was already done eating. He didn't ask me if I wanted something else he want right to getting my check but I stopped him and ask for a cordial. Now I know why this store has a 2.5 star rating must be the culture! Everything was very clean and enforced social distancing and wearing masks which was good. The only problem is that I ordered a burger with bacon, and no tomato (medium rare, w/o tomato). The first time I got it it was rare, so I sent it back. Then I got a new one and it was medium with a tomato, and I had a few bites of it and it tasted like it as been in the freezer and there we tomato. It made me sick, I know they are doing the best they can, but just keep in mind, it could have just been me, but I feel like I shouldn't feel sick after I eat something from a restaurant.
