When I say, middle of nowhere, it's because this is a bit of a desert with little or no competition for something like six miles in any direction. Not to say they take advantage of that because they are excellent in everything they do. The Supermarket is an IGA unit * Independent Grocers Assocation) and is well stocked and fairly priced. Over the years, I 've bought several items from them. Never bought anything at the hardware side but looks like they have a good selection of tools in case you need something. Deli looks great but have not sampled their offering. Over the years, I have bought gas probably a dozen times and always competitive with gas stations in more developed areas. They do the community they serve great service. Don't have to drive to Hickory, Lincolnton, Mooresville or Denver to get your provisions.

They have a guy polishing the floors and people stocking shelves, blocking aisles, at 7 am when they open every morning. The solution would be to have them do these tasks at 6 am before they open. Very nice staff…read more Hate the self checkout. I don't work there. The loud machine used to clean the floors should be done before customers arrive. I feel sorry for the staff hearing the loud floor machine while they work. I get out of there as fast as possible when the noise making floor machine is operating. What a nightmare. You certainly don't want a baby to endure that noise! Babies have sensitive hearing. The loud floor machine is highly inappropriate during hours customers and staff are in the store. The noise is horrible.

(Additive-free active dry yeast, if you must know.) What's more, the place was clean and orderly (as was the men's room), and the service was friendly and fast. I had zero problems, and after mere minutes inside, I had my yeast and was paid-up and on my way -- bada-bing : - ) So, a word of thanks to everyone who keeps this place going. Thanks to you all, I got something I needed, and I'm sincerely grateful for that (even for something as "small" as a packet of pure yeast -- because service is service, if you dig).

The younger cashiers will make their scan machines not able to read card numbers. I have had bad experiences at Hwy 127 and Spring Rd. Stores #3220 and #2625. What little help I get from the EBT card should be a blessing not made to feel less a person.

That's my mistake, BUT Customer service reviewed the interior camera footage and confirmed that the item was in my cart. However, instead of conducting a complete and reasonable investigation, they refused to check the exterior camera which would have clearly shown that I left the store without the item, since I left the cart along with the item inside the entrance. I said I left with two bags but I didn't leave with my other item which was on accident. The lack of effort and basic problem-solving from the staff was frustrating and unacceptable. As a result, I was unable to recover my item, despite there being clear evidence that could have resolved the situation. ALDI isn't your regular American supermarket and there are a few key differences that help them keep prices down. Starting off with, you'll need to bring a quarter in order to borrow a shopping cart. You'll get it back when you return the cart. The merchandise is a wide variety but they don't have everything and they generally don't have more than one of an item. A few name brands here and there but usually ALDI's generic brand. Note that the quality is similar. At the register, the cashier scans the stuff and then puts it right back into your cart. You're bagging it yourself, making your time at the register faster. You can buy ALDI bags or bring your own. Or you can find a few cardboard boxes from the sales floor for free. There was a time that ALDI didn't accept credit cards but they do know. Easy, inexpensive (not cheap) and a good shopping experience. Enjoy!
