It's done to me I guess because my home store which I considered this had not been ruined yet by ugliness. And then a massive eyesore of ugliness gets installed right by the front entrance when you go in the door. It made me think that we have forgotten that this type of thing eliminates jobs. I wonder how many cashiers and baggers are not needed any longer. Especially those retired people that need a few extra bucks to get them by. I've used self checkouts and other stores but this made me realize how lazy I'd become. It was like my home store was ruined. I will never use them ever. And I hope Publix get this message. It looks like crap and it puts people out of work. It's made me decide not to use them and any other stores I go in either.

Fast checkout, great conversation, and a bright smile exemplifies the Publix experience. The store is always clean, and they are proactive to customer demand during peak hours. Definitely recommend.

They were all near the entrance of the store, which is convenient and better than other grocery stores where you have to go back outside for a cart. The produce area as well organized. Some of the signs are incorrect on some of the vegetables. However, the pricing is decent for these produce. They do have a decent meat selection different cuts preseasoned was able to get eight chicken legs for like four bucks, which is a deal in this economy The beef was more on the pricey side however it looked good and it cooked well As far as the international grocery side of things, it seemed a little higher price, which is unfortunate but I'm assuming a lot of those international groceries are imported so maybe they were affected by tariffs Overall, the staff was great helped me find something I couldn't find at checkout. They carried a decent conversation which a lot of grocery stores do not. The store was clean. I didn't have any complaints. It wasn't super busy. I was able to get in and out within 15 minutes.

So you tell them the actual amount they gave then they say no you gave me (incorrect amount) even pointing it out to you then incorrectly counting it out loud to you after you tell them the amount you gave them. If I didn't do that they would have been shorted money by giving me back way too much money. Not sure how they can't count to 7? I guess they like giving out free money or undocumented discounts. If I am wrong in counting it okay, but to be told no I gave them more than I did then counting it back to me while pointing to each coin when you are counting it completely wrong is crazy work. Then after finally realizing their mistake silence. This location is definitely below the mark for customer service. I'd rather go to a different location or sprouts. Even WM at this point. Customer service has also gone way down in general at this location including with argumentative cashiers like above noted ones. I've also seen a lot of staff just standing around talking or just looking bored. Maybe they should consider additional training for cashiers related to customer service?

I did two months one I primarily shopped at Publix The other primarily at Aldi I saved money I save time and I've chosen healthier options due to the price. It's way more affordable at Aldi. I reduce plastic waste because I'm no longer collecting plastic bags from Walmart or Publix It's not usually busy when I go produce and meats seem to be fresh and I've had no issues I've gotten everything on my grocery list and was able to hit under budget at least 30% each time. The staff has been great, especially when I'm looking for something they've explained the store layout and where I can find my key items. This place is clean the bathroom the floors , everything overall is clean the shopping carts work the wheels aren't all wacky. People are respectful. I felt like i died on hold. finally got someone one, said i had to come in to get a refund. i live 8 miles away.....20 minutes in normal traffic. i have to waste over an hour of my time to get a refund on a $6 chicken i didn't get!? customer service at this store is atrocious! My normal store is DeLand. not great either but knows how to resolve an issue.

Like most Aldi's they beat out Walmart and Publix on pricing; yet they lack some of the variety of vegetables and other items the alternative chains provide. Regardless, I like what Aldi offers and I prefer to shop here over the other two chains when I can. The staff member working the front register was friendly, and efficient and we were in and out in no time; what else can you ask for? All-in-all, this is a great grocery store in the DeLand area, it is conveniently located off 17/92 and I would return again if I need a grocery item next time I am in the area.

I only go here when I have plenty of time because it takes so long to check out. Don't forget to bring a quarter because they don't like to bring in the shopping carts hoping you will return it to get your quarter.
